At the biggest sewage treatment plant of Niersverband methane gas is recovered from surplus digestion gas and injected into low pressure public utility pipeline in compliance with low calorific natural gas quality standards. The necessary surplus gas yield availability is evaluated. The variations of supply to utility and the probability of peak load capacity running time are displayed. Operation expenditures costs and economy are evaluated. Utilization of 1,6 Million m3/a processed biogas is expected.

A pharmaceutical factory in Wuhan produces many pharmaceutical wastewaters every day. The wastewater raw water quality indexes are: the concentration of COD,BOD5, NH3-N,TP is 300,000mg/L, 200,000mg/L, 450mg/L,900 mg/L ; By the SBBR treatment, the effluent water quality indexes are:750mg/L,350mg/L,1.20mg/L,5mg/L,and the effluent water can accord with Wastewater quality standards for discharge to municipal sewers (CJ 343-2010) and be discharged after treatment in the sewage treatment plant by municipal sewers.

Because of increased effluent quality standards the central sewage treatment plant (STP) of Stolberg is upgraded into a two stage plant according to the AB-process. Special peculiarities of the rebuilding are several combined technologies for nitrogen and phosphorus removal and for the optimization of sludge treatment including energy recovery. Apart from special features of construction and machinery a remarkable process control system is installed, which operates with several linked personal computers instead of a main frame process computer. At the beginning of the reconstruction tests were carried out in a semitechnical pilot plant. Results of these tests as well as first operation results of the large STP allow a good adjustment of the especially high quality standards to be expected.

The paper describes the changes which have been made to the plant since it was built in the 1930s. It was initially designed to treat 50,000 m3/d by a 2-stage activated sludge process with integrated charcoal precipitation and was enlarged 25 years ago to treat 130,000 m3/d dry weather flow. It now treats a population equivalent of 650,000, half of which is industrial effluent mainly from textile and food processing factories. Sludge treatment has always included digestion and this is to be upgraded to 2-stage thermophilic and mesophilic digestion with submerged combustion sludge heating. The sludge produced has always been disposed of to land, with or without drying, using digester gas, and some has been centrifuged. The gas has also been used for car fuelling but it is now purified and blended into the gas supply of a public utility. The sewage treatment is also to be upgraded mainly to deal with increased storm water flows.

Abstract The increase in the number of hotels in Pontianak City has a impact, namely the increase in the generation of wastewater. The hotel wastewater treatment process is widely used by hotels in Pontianak, especially at the Aston hotel, which already has a sewage treatment plant with suspended biological treatment. The processed water often does not meet the quality standards of wastewater which may be disposed of in accordance with PERMEN/LH/68/2016 concerning domestic wastewater quality standards. In this study, the parameters measured were BOD, TSS and pH. The purpose of this study was to determine the efficiency of Aston hotel wastewater treatment using an attached reactorMBBR (moving bed biofilm reactor) with Kaldnes K3 media in reducing BOD and TSS parameters. Growing microorganisms and biofilms on adhesive media for 14 days. Giving Kaldnes K3 adhesive media as much as 30%. Based on the research results of Aston hotel wastewater treatment with attached reactor MBBR able to reduce BOD and TSS parameters. Best lowering efficiency in attached reactor MBBR with the best time of 7 days was able to reduce the BOD parameter from 109.81 mg/L became 7.28 mg/L with an efficiency of 93.37%, and the TSS parameter decreased from the initial concentration of 78 mg/L to 8 mg/L and the efficiency was 89.74%.  Keywords : BOD, Kaldnes, Hotel Waste Waste, MBBR, TSS Abstrak Peningkatan jumlah hotel di Kota Pontianak memberi dampak, yaitu meningkatnya timbulan limbah cair.

Abstract:Phosphorus is a major substance that is needed especially for agricultural production or for the industry. At the same time it is an important component of wastewater. At present, the waste management priority is recycling and this requirement is also transferred to wastewater treatment plants. Substances in wastewater can be recovered and utilized. In Europe (in Germany and Austria already legally binding), access to phosphorus-containing sewage treatment is changing. This paper dealt with the issue of phosphorus on the sewage treatment plant in Nitra. There are several industrial areas in Nitra where record major producers in phosphorus production in sewage. The new wastewater treatment plant is built as a mechanicalbiological wastewater treatment plant with simultaneous nitrification and denitrification, sludge regeneration, an anaerobic zone for biological phosphorus removal at the beginning of the process and chemical phosphorus precipitation. The sludge management is anaerobic sludge stabilization with heating and mechanical dewatering of stabilized sludge and gas management. The aim of the work was to document the phosphorus balance in all parts of the wastewater treatment plant - from the inflow of raw water to the outflow of purified water and the production of excess sludge. Balancing quantities in the wastewater treatment plant treatment processes provide information where efficient phosphorus recovery could be possible. The mean daily value of P tot is approximately 122.3 kg/day of these two sources. The mean daily value of P tot is approximately 122.3 kg/day of these two sources. There are also two outflows - drainage of cleaned water to the recipient - the river Nitra - 9.9 kg Ptot/day and Ptot content in sewage sludge - about 120.3 kg Ptot/day - total 130.2 kg Ptot/day.

Changes of microbial indices of water quality in the Vistula and Brda rivers as a result of sewage treatment plant operationThis paper reports the results of studies of microbiological changes in the water quality of the Vistula and Brda rivers after the opening of sewage treatment plants in Bydgoszcz. The study involved determining the microbiological parameters of water quality. Based on the results obtained, it was found that the quality of the water in both rivers had improved decidedly after the opening of the plants, although an increased number of individual groups of microorganisms was found at the treated sewage outlet from one of the plants.
