Haratala (Arsenic trisulphide) is an inorganic compound with the formula As2S3. The Haratala is used without proper purification the toxic effects are Daha (burning sensation), Kampaka (tremors), Toda (pricking pain), Kshobha, Pida, Raktadusti (vitiates blood), Kushta (skin disease), Malinikaroti Gatram, Vata Kapha Prakopatamaka Roga, Mrtyusankakara. Coarse powdered material is less toxic because it can be eliminated in faeces before it dissolves, experimental evidence has shown a high degree of gastro-intestinal absorption of both trivalent and pentavalent forms of arsenic. Arsenic is eliminated by many routes (faeces, urine, sweat, hair, skin, lungs) although most is excreted in urine of man.

A procedure is described for the isolation of nucleic acids from apple bark tissue using dimethyl sulfoxide. Nucleic acids isolated by this method are high in yield, and exhibit a high degree of purity as evidenced by their spectra. Experimental evidence is given to show that extraction of the tissue with dimethyl sulfoxide before the extraction of nucleic acids removes protein and pigments. Little or no ribonuclease activity could be detected in apple bark tissue after extraction with dimethyl sulfoxide. Ribonuclease activity was shown to be strongly inhibited by high concentrations of dimethyl sulfoxide.

Van Kampen (1993) has published a paper in which he criticizes the concept of psychoticism and the use of the P scale as a measuring device, and advances measures for his own S scale and its validity. This reply attempts to clarify the notion of ‘validity’, and to demonstrate that there is a considerable body of experimental evidence to show that P has a high degree of construct validity, whereas the Van Kampen S scale lacks completely any degree of construct validity. Several examples are given of how the experimental evidence legitimates both the P scale, and the theory (nomological network) on which it is based.

Ayurved is time tested science. From ancient to present era its principles never change. With great logics its cure all types of disease. Tinea cruris is fungal infection of the groin region.it is ring like shape with any size. It is found more in male then female. According to ayurved all skin disease comes under kushta vhydhi. Tinea cruris can be correlated with dadru. Dadru is one of the Kshudrakustha with predominance of Pitta and Kapha dosha. 31 years old male suffering from Elevated ring like patch around buttock region, Severe itching, Discoloration/Redness, Burning sensation since last 8 months. He took Modern medicine but no relief from that. With Modern medicine he just got relief from itching, that also reoccur again during night time. Now a days, people are comparatively much more conscious about their skin care as it’s a compulsory part of their personality building for this purpose people are using a number of products prepared chemically, which ultimately harms their skin cosmeceuticals are one of such product So, it is better to follow the herbal care for the skin, most herbal skin care product don’t have any side effects. Moreover herbal skin care drugs can be easily made at home, hence making them even more attractive, so herbal skin care is the way to go4. Hence, study of Ayurvedic drugs and the preventive aspects which describe skin care in Ayurvedic compendia is necessiated, which will help in curing various skin problems1 .

Glucose had long been thought to fuel oxidative metabolism in active neurons until the recently proposed astrocyte-neuron lactate shuttle hypothesis (ANLSH) challenged this view. According to the ANLSH, activity-induced uptake of glucose takes place predominantly in astrocytes, which metabolize glucose anaerobically. Lactate produced from anaerobic glycolysis in astrocytes is then released from astrocytes and provides the primary metabolic fuel for neurons. The conventional hypothesis asserts that glucose is the primary substrate for both neurons and astrocytes during neural activity and that lactate produced during activity is removed mainly after neural activity. The conventional hypothesis does not assign any particular fraction of glucose metabolism to the aerobic or anaerobic pathways. In this review, the authors discuss the theoretical background and critically review the experimental evidence regarding these two hypotheses. The authors conclude that the experimental evidence for the ANLSH is weak, and that existing evidence and theoretical considerations support the conventional hypothesis.

AbstractThis review discusses the clinical and experimental evidence for the efficacy of homœopathic treatment of disease. The conclusion is that despite a great deal of experimental and clinical work there is only a little scientific evidence to suggest that homœopathy is effective. This is because of bad design, excution, reporting or failure to repeat experimental work and not necessarily because of the inefficacy of the system which has yet to be properly tested on a large enough scale. It is suggested that there is sufficient evidence to warrant the execution of well-designed, carefully-controlled experiments, particularly in naturally diseased organisms, to investigate the efficacy of homœopathy further. Some of the experimental work already done suggests that homœopathy may be of value in the treatment and prevention of diseases in crops as well as animals and humans.

In this study, no toxic effects were detected after single subcutaneous injection of 40 mg/kg tadpoles. The results of macro- and microscopic examination of the internal organs 14 days after single subcutaneous administration of N'-(2-(5-((thephylline-7'-yl)methyl)-4-ethyl-1,2,4-triazole-3-ylthio)acethyl)isonicotino-hydrazide (GKP-305) at a dose of 20, 40 mg/kg showed the absence of any anatomical and morphological abnormalities in the tissue structures of the tentacles. The calculated value of the drug indicates a high degree of safety GKP-305 and its prospects for veterinary practice as an effective and safe tuberculocidal drug.

If the ideal of chemotherapy is to be considered the maximum of the parasitotropic properties of the drug while the minimum is organotropic, then the famous Ehrlich'a-salvarsan compound satisfies it to a high degree.
