The paper presents the experimental results of a research aimed at the distribution of the temperature on the circular saw blade body. The temperature was measured at two distances from the centre of the circular saw blade body (70 mm, 140 mm) by means of an infrared thermometer. Two circular saw blades with the diameter of 350 mm and a variable adjustment of the body (with slots and without the coating, with both slots and coating) were used for the longitudinal sawing of the spruce wood (Picea excelsa) with the thickness of h = 37 mm. Feed speeds ware vf1 = 14 mpm, vf2 = 17 mpm and vf3 = 20 mpm. Cutting revolutions n = 4100 /min. were constant. The measured temperature was in the range from 21 °C till 27 °C. The highest measured temperatures were recorded on the circular saw blade with the slots and coating.

Effect of thermal modification temperature of spruce wood on cutting parameters during circular saw blade cutting. The work examines the effect of temperature on energetical parameters (specific cutting resistance and cutting force) when cutting heat-treated wood of Norway spruce (Picea Abies) by a circular saw. The test samples were heat-treated at 160°C, 180°C, 200°C and 220°C. One sample was not heat treated and was used as a reference sample. In comparison with the theoretical assumptions, the influence of temperature on the cutting force and specific cutting resistance was confirmed. With increasing temperature of modification, the specific cutting resistance and cutting force decreased. The reduction of value of cutting force is related to changes in the chemical structure of the wood components, weight and density loss due to the increasing temperature of modification.

Thinner saw blades cannot resist large lateral cutting forces due to their lower stiffness. In this paper we propose a composite reinforcement method to improve the mechanical properties of circular saw blades. We analyze and simulate the stress and strain fields of our proposed reinforced circular saws by Finite element method. Our analytical results contain not only influences of reinforcing parameters but also loading conditions on the lateral stiffness and the natural frequency of composite saw blades. Here the reinforcing parameters include: 1) the reinforcement location on circular saw blades, 2) the volume fraction of the reinforcements, 3) the number of the reinforcements; and loading conditions include: 1) the cutting force, 2) the rotational speed. Our composite reinforcement model and simulation results can contribute to a better design of circular saw blades.

Three kind of diamond circular saw blade with different structure parameters are designed in this paper. Adopted single-factor test, sawing force and vibration are measured by cutting several kinds of strength concrete in different cutting parameters. The analysis to characters of sawing force and vibration helps to find out optimum structure of diamond saw blade with different segment width, more rational sawing parameter and its adaptability to workpiece material.

The finite element method was used to study tangential roller method impact on the stability of circular saw blade. Using 30 ° cyclic symmetric model is analyzed. The results show that the tension of the saw blade is not the same, and tensioning effect is different, when the tangential roller pressure is not same. At the same time, after tangential roller, the face run out of saw blade is small, which show that the smoothness of tangential roller is better.

The finite element modal analysis was used to study natural frequency of circular saw blade, when slotted. Finding the frequency of slotted is smaller than no slotted saw blade, showing that slot can have the effect of noise attenuation. The increasing of slot length, slot width, slot position, slot number can reduce the natural frequency of circular saw blade on the whole. The orthogonal text was used to study slot parameters. Finding that slot parameters’ influence of primary and secondary relations on saw blade first five natural frequency is slot position > slot number> slot length > slot width.

An automatic fodder system Was developed that automatically feed the cattle food (sorghum) at a predetermined time without the need of labour . In a way, it is to control the cattle feeding activity by using a system that is generally combined with the mechanical system and electrical systems to form an automatic fodder system (AFS) instead of manually feeding. The cattle owners whom are away for a long time will have troubles about knowing the situation of the feeding cattle. Thus, this automatic cattle fodder device is very convenient, and easily monitorable. The device will consist of a gear motor, wiper motor, circular saw blade, conveyor and Microcontroller8051.The cutter is used to cut the sorghum into small pieces a to fed the cattle. This improves the animal digestion and prevents animal from rejecting any part of their food. A timer is used to control the number of cutting time at an interval of time. Plus, there is an IR sensor to sense the cattle feed. With this, the user or the owner can be away from home get benefited through useful data that are receivable through communication. Further future development may be done by including the load cell to measure the exact weight of the chaffs for the analysis purpose which is helpful for efficient cattle fodder system.
