Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan soal matematika model PISA untuk siswa SMP menggunakan konteks Jambi yang valid, praktis, dan memiliki efek potensial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Design research tipe development study. Analisis data adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian berupa seperangkat soal matematika model PISA menggunakan konteks Jambi yang valid, praktis dan memlilki efek potensial sebanyak 14 butir soal. Valid dari segi konten, konstruk, dan bahasa berdasarkan penilaian validator, praktis berdasarkan uji coba small group dan memiliki efek potensial berdasarkan analisis hasil jawaban siswa dan angket pada field test. Bedasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa soal yang dikembangkan memiliki beberapa efek potensial, yaitu memunculkan pelibatan kemampuan dasar matematis yang beragam pada proses penyelesaiannya. Selain itu, juga mampu menarik minat dan memotivasi siswa sehingga tertantang menyelesaikan soal. Soal-soal ini juga memberikan stimulus kepada siswa untuk berpikir kritis menggunakan penalaran sendiri dalam penyelesaiannya.Kata kunci: research and development, development study, PISA, Konteks Jambi DEVELOPING MATHEMATIC QUESTIONS OF PISA MODEL BY USING JAMVI CONTEXT AbstractThe aim of this research was to provide valid, practical mathematic questions of PISA model for SMP students by using Jambi contex, and have potential effect. The method of the research was developmental research design . Descriptive analysis was used to analyze the data. The result of the research was a set of valid, practical 14 mathematic questions of PISA model in Jambi contex, and having potential effect. The validity of content, construct, and language was based on expert judgment, the practicality was measured in small group, and the potential effect was based on analysis of student answers and questionnaires in field test. The result of analysis showed that the developed questions had several potential effects such as inviting students’ various basic skills of mathematic in the process of answering the questions. Besides that, it could encourage students’ ability and motivate students to answer and finish the questions. These questions also attract the students to use their critical thinking ability to answer the questions.Keywords: research and development, development study, PISA, Jambi context

Edmodo is an educational application with a facebook-like social media platform that can be used in learning. In general, teachers rarely use information-based learning, communication and technology, and only focus on learning by using Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) alone without utilizing the maximum technology applications for educational purposes. The purpose of this research is to analyze the difference of critical thinking ability between learners which applied E-Learning learning based on Edmodo without Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach with students who applied E-Learning learning based on Edmodo with Contextual Teaching and Learning approach CTL). This type of research is Quasi Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design research conducted at SMA (SLUA) ​​Saraswati 1 Denpasar from February to April. The sample in this research is the students of class X MIA 5 as control class and class X MIA 1 as experiment class. Critical thinking ability is measured using essay test by using rubric of critical thinking ability of learners. The results obtained by using One Way ONOVA test show that there is a significant difference from the application of Edmodo based E-Learning learning with CTL approach to students' critical thinking ability (p = 0,05). The conclusion of this research is the application of Edmodo based E-learning learning with CTL approach better than Edmodo based E-learning learning without CTL approach to the critical thinking ability of learners.

The purpose of this study is to find out whether there are: (1) the influence of the scientific approach on students’ critical thinking skills; (2) the influence of learning independence on students’ mathematical critical thinking ability; (3) the interaction between the scientific approach and the learning independence of students’ critical thinking skills. This research is a quasy experimental design research with 2x3 factorial design. Sampling technique in this research use probability sampling with cluster random sampling. The research instrument used is questionnaire self-reliance learning and test of critical thinking ability mathematically. Data from the results of tests of mathematical critical thinking ability were analyzed using anava test of two unequal cell paths and further tests using a double comparison test with the Scheffe method. The results showed that: (1) there was an influence of the scientific approach on students’ critical thinking skills; (2) there is influence of learning independence to students’ critical thinking ability mathematically; (3) there is no interaction between the scientific approach and the learning independence of mathematical critical thinking skills.

<p>Critical thinking in education has been widely practiced following the awareness that it helps a lot the students specifically in science subjects. In accordance with critical thinking ability in science, students who show ability on critical thinking will successfully cope with problems they encounter. Such ability hopefully works in their learning achievement. The objective of this research is to investigate the influence of creative and critical thinking on the achievement of the students of the Department of Primary Education IKIP PGRI Madiun in the class of Science Concepts II. The current study makes use of the descriptive correlational. As many as 191students enrolled the class of science concepts II in the academic year 2012/2013, out of 366 populations, serve as the sample through the proportional random sampling technique. Tests were administered to collect the data analyzed by applying descriptive analysis of double regression to assess the hypothesis in which SPSS PASW Statistics 18 was applied. Results show that there is significant correlation on the variables of creative and critical thinking on their achievement. The creative thinking contributes 20.13% while the critical thinking contribution is 21.53%. Tujuan penelitian ini diantaranya: (1) menemukan karakteristik perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan, (2) mendeskripsikan kevalidan perangkat pembelajaran, (3) menganalisis keefektifan pembelajaran menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dan (4) menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pengunaan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. The aims of this research is was to find out the profile of overall science critical thinking ability and based on the gender of viii grade students of SMPN at Ende city. This research was a descriptive research. The population of this research were all the VIII grade students of SMPN at Ende city academic year 2017/2018. As many as 804 students and the sample were 10% of the populations, they were 80 students. This research used random sampling technique. The data were obtained from the score of science critical thinking ability. The data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis. the result shows that the average of science critical thinking ability of students was 66,84 which is categorized as medium or critical enough. Meanwhile, based on the gender perspective, the female group obtained the average as 68,56 which is categorized as high or critical. Meanwhile, male obtained the 62,03 which is categorized as medium or critical enough.

Pemahaman konsep merupakan salah satu kemahiran matematika yang diharapkan dapat tercapai dalam belajar matematika yaitu dengan menunjukkan pemahaman konsep matematika yang dipelajarinya, menjelaskan keterkaitan antar konsep dan mengaplikasikan konsep dalam pemecahan masalah. Pembelajaran dengan penemuan terbimbing dapat membimbing siswa untuk mengkonstruk dan memahami konsep matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa modul pemahaman konsep berbasis metode penemuan terbimbing. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan Design Research tipe Development Study. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah 6 Yogykarta. Pada penelitian ini peneliti pada tahapan desain produk atau prototype awal untuk selanjutkan akan dilanjutkan penelitian pada tahap expert, small group dan field test.

This study aimed to produce the Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS)’ questions of relation and function material that had validity and practicality and also had potential effect to support student’s creative thinking. This research was a descriptive research with design research method and development study type. The questions of relation and function material developed based on characteristics of Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) questions and followed stages of development study, such as: self evaluation, experts review, one-to-one, small group and field test. The subjects of this research were 38 students of eight grader from SMP Negeri 17 Palembang. They participated on one-to-one, small group and field test. Data collected using walkthroughs, interviews, questionnaires and tests. Validity of questions knew form experts review result based on content, construct and language. Practicality of questions knew from small group result about student’ understanding of purpose of questions and procedural of answering questions. Potential effect did known by test on field test stage. The result showed the HOTS’ questions of relation and function material truly supported student’s creative thinking.

Dalam upaya penguasaan literasi matematis, perlu diimbangi dengan menumbuhkembangkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi yaitu membiasakan siswa mengerjakan soal non rutin berlevel tinggi setara PISA. Menyelesaikan soal matematika menggunakan konteks juga merupakan suatu cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk membantu siswa menggunakan kemampuan matematika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Matematika memiliki keterlibatan dalam membantu pemahaman, pemaknaan, serta pengamalan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam konteks pancasila. Penekanan nilai pancasila dalam kehidupan sehari-hari siswa perlu diberikan sebagai alternatif untuk mengembangkan nilai budaya dan etika pancasila di dalam dunia pendidikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan soal matematika bermuatan HOTS setara PISA berkonteks pancasila yang valid dan praktis, serta memiliki efek potensial. Valid dari segi konten, konstruk, dan bahasa berdasarkan penilaian validator, praktis berdasarkan uji coba small group, dan memiliki efek potensial berdasarkan analisis hasil jawaban siswa pada field test. Penelitian ini dikembangkan dengan metode design research tipe development study. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 30 orang siswa kelas XII SMA N 12 Kota Jambi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan walktrough, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat 5 unit soal matematika bermuatan HOTS setara PISA berkonteks pancasila serta mempunyai efek potensial terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika siswa dimana kemampuan yang dominan muncul yaitu kemampuan komunikasi.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan bahan ajar matematika berbasis scientific untuk siswa SMP yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif yang berorientasi pada kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development, R&D) menurut Borg & Gall yang terdiri atas tiga langkah utama yaitu studi pendahuluan, desain produk serta pengembangan dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Palasah dengan Instrumen berupa instrumen tes kemampuan berpikir kritis, lembar validasi para ahli, lembar penilaian kepraktisan dan angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar matematika berbasis scientific yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Uji perbedaan keefektifan ini menggunakan uji multivariat Hotteling’s Trace dan uji perbandingan keefektifan menggunakan uji statistik univariat between group yang menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis scientific yang digunakan kelas uji coba lebih efektif dibandingkan bahan ajar buku paket biasa yang digunakan pada kelas kontrol.  Development of Mathematic Teaching Material Based on Scientific Oriented to the Mathematical Critical Thinking Ability of StudentAbstractThis study aims to produce scientific-based mathematics worksheets for junior high school students that meet the criteria of valid, practical, and effective oriented mathematical critical thinking skills. This is a research and development (R & D) according to Borg & Gall which consists of three main steps, namely preliminary study, product design and development and evaluation. The subjects of this study were the eighth grade students of SMPN 1 Palasah with instruments in the form of critical thinking ability tests, expert validation sheets, practicality assessment sheets and student response questionnaires. The effectiveness of teaching materials is shown based on the percentage of the number of students who are at least in the good category at 95.8% and this effectivesness test uses multivariate Hotteling’s Trace test adn comparison of effectiveness test using univariate statistical test between groups and the result show that the teaching materials of scientific-based worksheets are more effective than teaching materials for general textbooks.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKPD (Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik) yang valid, praktis dan memiliki efek potensial terhadap kemampuan pemodelan matematika siswa. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam memahami dan menghubungkan matematika untuk memecahkan masalah dunia nyata. Oleh karena itu, untuk membantu siswa dalam menghadapi masalah yang berhubungan dengan dunia nyata menggunakan matematika, siswa dilatih dengan diberikan soal-soal pemodelan matematika. Soal-soal tersebut dituangkan dalam bentuk LKPD menggunakan tahap pemodelan matematika dengan konteks ojek online. Penelitian ini merupakan design research tipe development study. Ciri khas dari LKPD yang telah dikembangkan peneliti adalah LKPD yang membantu siswa dalam memahami masalah, menentukan model matematika, dan menyelesaikan masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari secara sistematis menggunakan tahap pemodelan matematika dari teori Blum dan karakteristik PMRI. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP di Palembang yang terdiri dari 25 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD yang dikembangkan memiliki karakteristik valid berdasarkan penilaian validator, praktis terlihat dari hasil ujicoba small group, serta efek potensial terlihat dari hasil tes siswa diberikan setelah ujicoba field test menggunakan LKPD yang telah dikembangkan. Hasil tes tersebut menunjukkan bahwa 72% siswa berkategori baik terhadap kemampuan pemodelan matematika setelah menggunakan LKPD yang dikembangkan.
