Edmodo is an educational application with a facebook-like social media platform that can be used in learning. In general, teachers rarely use information-based learning, communication and technology, and only focus on learning by using Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) alone without utilizing the maximum technology applications for educational purposes. The purpose of this research is to analyze the difference of critical thinking ability between learners which applied E-Learning learning based on Edmodo without Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach with students who applied E-Learning learning based on Edmodo with Contextual Teaching and Learning approach CTL). This type of research is Quasi Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design research conducted at SMA (SLUA) Saraswati 1 Denpasar from February to April. The sample in this research is the students of class X MIA 5 as control class and class X MIA 1 as experiment class. Critical thinking ability is measured using essay test by using rubric of critical thinking ability of learners. The results obtained by using One Way ONOVA test show that there is a significant difference from the application of Edmodo based E-Learning learning with CTL approach to students' critical thinking ability (p = 0,05). The conclusion of this research is the application of Edmodo based E-learning learning with CTL approach better than Edmodo based E-learning learning without CTL approach to the critical thinking ability of learners.

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Posing approach and the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach to critical thinking skills. This study is a quasi-experimental study with randomize design pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study were all class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Sentolo consisting of six classes. From the population, two classes were randomly sampled as the research sample, namely class X MIA 3 and class X MIA 1. In class X MIA 3 students applied learning using the Problem Posing approach and class X MIA 1 students used the CTL approach. The instrument used to collect data is a test of critical thinking skills. To examine the effect of the Problem Posing approach and the CTL approach on critical thinking ability data were analyzed using the t test. The results showed that there were differences in the ability to think critically between classes with learning using the Problem Posing approach and the classroom with learning using the CTL approach, with the average students 'critical thinking skills in the class with the Problem Posing approach higher than the students' critical thinking skills. in the class with the CTL approach.

<p><em>This study aims to determine the effect of learning model Challenge Based Learning on the critical thinking ability of environmental materials. The research method used in this research is a quasi-experiment with No</em><em>n-Equivalent</em><em> Control Group Design research design. Sampling was used by using purposive sampling technique. The sample of this study class X.2 as the experiment amounted to 20 and class X.3 as the control class amounted to 21 students. The results of this study indicate that the average N-gain of the experimental class is 0.61 which is in the medium category and the average N-gain for the control class is 0.24 which belongs to the low category. Data analysis using t-test with significant level 0,05 obtained tcount = 5,674 while ttable = 1,685 seen that t</em><em>coun</em><em>t</em><em>&gt; ttabel. Therefore (Ha) accepted and (H0) rejected thus can be concluded that the learning model of Challenge Based Learning has an effect on critical thinking ability of class X SMA 4 Prabumulih.</em><strong> </strong><strong></strong></p>

The learning Algebra courses are often taught using coventional textbooks. However, the reality of the learning outcomes has not been able to absorb the material to the maximum extent possible, and this is because the textbooks is limited in number so that students only record some of what is taught by the Lecturer. At the same time, electronic books are available free of charge in several world libraries. The purpose of this study is to determine the ability to think critically mathematically through the use of Elementary Algebra electronic books. The study of the method are used a Quasi Experiment with a nonrandomized Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design research design. The study population was all students who took Elementary Algebra in the Department of Mathematics Education, Malikussaleh University, in the Even Semester 2018/2019 academic year. Sample for the study was students of class A1 as an Experiment group using E-books for Teaching, and Class A2 as a Control group with lectures using conventional textbooks. The results showed that the mathematical critical thinking ability of students taught using Electronic books was better than the mathematical critical thinking ability of students who were taught using conventional textbooks. Thus the use of elementary algebra electronic books (E-books) can improve students' mathematical critical thinking skills in learning Algebra.

This research aims to know the effectiveness of the learning problem based learning model assisted work sheet for the critical thinking ability of physics students of grade X SMAN 1 Lingsar inacademics year 2016/2017. This was an experiments research that using design research Posttest-Only Control group Design. The population in this research were the whole grade X SMA Negeri 1 Lingsar in academics year 2016/2017. Sampling taken with using cluster random sampling technique with the students of class X. MIA. A as experiments class and grade X. MIA. D as controls class. Research hypothesis was analysis with the t-test for one party (the party right). Based on the hypothesis test results obtained tcount> ttable at significance level of 5%, then it can be inferred that the model of learning problem based learning assisted work sheet effective for critical thinking ability of physics students SMAN 1 Lingsar.

This research aimed to understand the critical thinking ability improvement and preparedness assisted by Android-based media to understand landslides through physics learning and understand the effectiveness of the media. This research provides knowledge about disaster preparedness through physics learning in landslide-prone schools using Android media. This research used quasi-experimental with Control Group Design. The research subjects included tenth-grade students in class X (30 people) at SMA N 1 Kokap. The samples were selected using the lottery method and saturated sampling technique to determine the control and experiment groups (quasi-experimental with Control Group Design). The pretest and posttest were in the form of essay questions. The analysis data used independent sample T-test and effect size. The results show that the average critical thinking ability of the experimental class increased from 18.13 to 65.00, and the average preparedness increased from 68.75 to 81.88. The results of the independent sample t-test show the value of Sig. (2-tailed) on critical thinking ability was 0.000 and preparedness was 0.027 (Sig. (2-tailed) 0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that there are significant differences in critical thinking ability and disaster preparedness in the experimental class and the control class. The effect size of using an Android-based understanding of landslide natural disasters on students' critical thinking ability and preparedness is 2.0 with high effectiveness. Media landslides and landslides through Android-based physics learning can improve students’ critical thinking ability and disaster preparedness.
