Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan produk berupa perangkat pembelajaran matematika untuk SMP kelas VII semester genap dengan pendekatan saintifik yang meliputi RPP, LKS, dan instrumen penilaian hasil belajar siswa yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model pengembangan Four-D yang meliputi empat tahap yaitu: (1) pendefinisian, (2) perancangan, (3) pengembangan, dan (4) penyebaran. Tidak semua produk dilakukan uji pengembangan. Uji pengembangan produk hanya dilakukan pada materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linear satu vaiabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk yang telah dilakukan uji pengembangan memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Produk memenuhi kriteria valid berdasarkan persentase penilaian ahli mencapai 100%. Produk memenuhi kriteria praktis berdasarkan penilaian guru dan siswa yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik, serta berdasarkan hasil observasi keterlaksaan pembelajaran. Produk memenuhi kriteria efektif berdasarkan hasil belajar siswa pada kompetensi sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan. Persentase siswa yang mencapai KKM untuk kompetensi sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan melebihi 75%.Kata Kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran, pendekatan saintifik Developing Mathematics Instructional Materials for 7th Grade Students of Junior High School in Second Semester Based on the Scientific Approach AbstractThe aim of this study is to produce mathematics instructional materials for 7th grade students of junior high school in their second semester based on the scientific approach including lesson plans, student’s worksheets, and assessment instrument of learning achievement that fulfill the quality criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This research was a development study using the Four-D development model with four steps: (1) define, (2) design, (3) develop, and (4) disseminate. Development test was not done for all products. Development testing of product was done only for linear equality and inequality with one variable. The result of the study shows that the product which has done development test is valid, practical, and effective. The product fulfills the validity criterion. It is shown by the percentage of experts’ appraisal which reaches 100% that belongs to a valid category. The product fulfills the practicality criterion based on teacher and student assesment to the instructional material that is in a very good category. The product also fulfills the practicality criterion based on the percentage of teaching implementation. The percentage of teaching implementation exceeded 90%. The product fulfills the effectiveness criterion based on student learning achievement in attitude, knowledge, and skill competency. The percentage of students that achieve minimum mastery criteria for attitude, knowledge, and skill competency exceeded 75%.Keywords: development, instructional material, scientific approach

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan saintifik pada materi pokok geometri ruang SMP yang memenuhi kriteria kualitas: valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model pengembangan Four-D terdiri dari empat langkah: (1) pendefinisian, (2) perancangan, (3) pengembangan, dan (4) diseminasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini merupakan analsis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing produk memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Produk memenuhi kriteria kevalidan, ditunjukkan dari persentase penilaian ahli mencapai 100% yang termasuk dalam kategori valid. Produk memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan berdasarkan penilaian oleh guru dan siswa yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Produk memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan juga berdasarkan persentase keterlaksaan pembelajaran yang melebihi 80%. Produk memenuhi kriteria keefektifan berdasarkan hasil belajar siswa pada kompetensi sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran materi geometri ruang SMP dengan memanfaatkan alat peraga manipulatif dan lingkungan yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model pengembangan Four-D yang dimodifikasi menjadi tiga tahap: pendefinisian, perancangan, dan pengembangan. Uji pengembangan dilakukan di SMP N 1 Dukuhseti, Pati, Jawa Tengah. Instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi lembar validasi perangkat, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar penilaian kepraktisan perangkat, dan instrumen penilaian hasil belajar. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini berupa perangkat pembelajaran yaitu: RPP, LKS, Lembar Observasi Sikap (LOS) dan Tes Hasil Belajar (THB) dengan tingkat kevalidan 100%.  Tingkat kepraktisan LKS, RPP, dan LOS 100% sedangkan tingkat kepraktisan THB 84,36%. Tingkat keterlaksanaan pembelajaran 97%. Tingkat keefektifan RPP dan LKS 81%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk hasil pengembangan yang berupa RPP dan LKS memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif, sedangkan instrumen penilaian yang berupa LOS dan THB  memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis.Kata kunci: alat peraga manipulatif, geometri ruang, lingkungan, pengembangan perangkat. Developing Instructional Materials in Space Geometry for Junior High School Using Manipulative Visual Aids and Environment AbstractThe aims of this research was to result instructional materials in space geometry for junior high school using manipulative visual aids and environment that valid, practical, and effective. This development research using the Four-D development model with modification in three steps: define, design, and develop. The development testing was carried out in SMP N 1 Dukuhseti, Pati, Central Java. The research instruments were a validation sheet, teaching implementation observation sheet, practicality assessment sheet, and competency assessment instrument. The data analysis was conducted quantitative descriptively. This research produced instructional materials including lesson plans, student’s worksheets, observation sheet of attitude, and assessment instrument with the level of validity of the product reached 100%. The degree of practicality lesson plans, worksheets, and observation sheet of attitude were 100%, while the rate of assessment instrument of learning achievement practicality was 84.36%. The level of learning was 97%. The degree of effectiveness of the lesson plans and worksheets products reached 81%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the instructional materials in the form of lesson plans and worksheets were valid, practical, and effective, while the form of assessment instruments observation sheet of attitude, and assessment instrument of learning achievement were valid and practical.Keywords: manipulative visual aid, space geometry, environment, instructional development

This research aims to produce a feasible guided inquiry instructional materials by using computer simulation to improve student’s learning achievement of junior high school. The application of computer simulation used consists of PhET (Sims Build an Atom), Jmol, and Periodic Table. Development of this instructional material refers to Dick and Carey’s model. The subjects of this research was instructional materials that consist of syllabus, lesson plan, student’s worksheet, textbook, and achievement test. It was conducted to IX grade students in junior high school. The data were collected using questionnaire, observation, and test. The data were analyzed  using descriptive qualitative and quantitative statistic technique. The results of this research reveal that: (1) the instructional materials which is developed categorized very valid; (2) learning implementation categorized very good; (3) cognitive domain of the students’ learning achievement have increased by a score of N-gain high category; and (4) the students responded positively towards learning. Based on this results, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry instructional materials by using computer simulation which have been developed feasible used to improve student’s learning achievement.

The purpose of this developmental research was to develop a scientific approach based science worksheet on the dynamic electrical material topic for ninth-grade junior high school students.  The worksheet were developed based on scientific approach. The stages include:  observing, asking questions, gathering information, processing information, and communicating. The development model used is the 4-D Model consists of 4 stages: define,  design, develop, and desimanate. The results of the validation, a small and large group trials indicated that the used of the scientific approach based science worksheet was appropriate for use. This research is motivated by the low mathematical communication skills of junior high school students in the city of Bandung Regency. This study aims to determine the comparison of the mathematical communication skills of junior high school students in the city of Bandung regency between the learning usingmodels Think Talk Write. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design involving two groups and randomly selected classes, at the beginning and end of the study the two classes were given a test. The population in this study were junior high school students in the city of Bandung Regency, while the sample consisted of two randomly selected classes. Obtained class VII A (experimental class) given themodel Think Talk Write and class VII B (control class) is given a scientific approach. The instrument used was a 5-item mathematical communication ability description test, then theability scores mathematical communication students'were analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics using the help of SPSS 21 software. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that there were differences in the achievement of students' mathematical communication skills using models Think Talk Write with students who used a scientific approach.

The 2013 Curriculum emphasizes on active learning pattern. However, based on the questionnaire spread in junior high school 18 Padang, it was gotten the result that teachers still have difficulty in implementing it, especially in affective competence of confidence. The affective competence of confidence will encourage students to be active in learning process, both in asking questions and expressing opinion. In cooperative learning, students are provided a vehicle to increase their confidence through presenting their discussion result in front of the class. By considering this issue, there is an alternative solution that can be used by teacher, which is example non example method. This method is one of cooperative learning method. Besides that, it can support the implementation of scientific approach and discovery learning model in learning process. The scientific approach and discovery learning model are the approach and model recommended in the 2013 Curriculum. Purpose of the research was to know effect of example non example method in scientific approach and discovery learning model on students' affective competence. It was a quasi-experimental research. It was done in junior high school 18 Padang to grade VII students. The instrument used was written test in form of multiple-choice and essay. Technique of data analysis used Mann Whitney U test. It was done by using SPSS software. The finding shows that example non example method in scientific approach and discovery learning model has significant effect on students' affective competence, with sig. value (0.036) < 0.05.

The development of a descriptive text assessment instrument must be considered in the regularity of the questions in accordance with the question grid. The reality found in school showed that the teaching and learning experiences were dominated by the use of the Direct Instruction model and there were no activities to facilitate students to think criticaly. Thus, it is necessary to develop  guided discovery learning materials to overcome it. The one group pretest-posttest design was used as a the research design involving 30 Junior High School students. The data were analyzed through descriptive qualitative technique. The results showed that students’ activities were consistent with each stage of the guided discovery learning, students’ responses were good, and N-gain test informed that the students’ learning outcome and their  capability  to use  critical  thinking  skills  increased.  Based  on  those  findings,  it  can  be  concluded  that  the  guided  discovery instructional materials were effective to facilitate Junior High School students by think critically.Kenyataan di sekolah metode pembelajaran yang digunakan lebih berorientasi pada Direct Instruction dan belum  tersedia    perangkat  pembelajaran yang  dapat  melatih  keterampilan  berpikir  kritis  siswa  sehingga  perlu dikembangkan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada penemuan terbimbing untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis kepada siswa SMP. Rancangan penelitian one group pretest-posttest design dengan subyek 30 orang siswa SMP. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aktivitas siswa sesuai dengan tahapan penemuan terbimbing, respon siswa baik, uji N Gain menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis serta pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing, pokok bahasan peran manusia dalam pengelolaan lingkungan efektif untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP.
