Machine learning is a method of data analysis that automates analytical model building. It is a branch of artificial intelligence based on the idea that systems can learn from data, identify patterns and make decisions with minimal human intervention. In human interactions, the face is the most important factor as it contains important information about a person or individual. All humans have the ability to recognise individuals from their faces. Now following system is based on face recognition to maintain the attendance record of students. The daily attendance of students is recorded subject wise which is stored already by the administrator. As the time for corresponding subject arrives the system automatically starts taking snaps and then apply face detection and recognition technique to the given image and the recognize students are marked as present and their attendance update with corresponding time and subject id. We have used deep learning techniques to develop this system, histogram of oriented gradient method is used to detect faces in images and deep learning method is used to compute and compare facial feature of students to recognize them.

Face recognition plays a vital role in security purpose. In recent years, the researchers have focused on the pose illumination, face recognition, etc,. The traditional methods of face recognition focus on Open CV’s fisher faces which results in analyzing the face expressions and attributes. Deep learning method used in this proposed system is Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Proposed work includes the following modules: [1] Face Detection [2] Gender Recognition [3] Age Prediction. Thus the results obtained from this work prove that real time age and gender detection using CNN provides better accuracy results compared to other existing approaches.

In this paper we will see the face mask detection and recognition for smart attendance system. In current pandemic situation our proposed system is very useful. We have used here face algorithm technique, python programming and to capture the images open cv is used., open cv2 now comes with a very new face recognizer class for the face recognition and popular computer vision liberaay started by intel in 1999. Open cv released under BSD licence that’s why used in the academic projects. We have used the concept of deep learning framework for the detection of faces. our aim is to present the study of previous attempts at face detection and recognition for smart attendance system by using deep learning .these is rapidly growing technology with its application in various aspects.

Object and Face detection and recognition is one of the mostly researched area in computer vision. This particular field of work is widely used in mobile phones and laptops for unlocking the system by the user. Recently this field gained importance in the automatic attendance system in schools, colleges and institution. The institutions are moving from biometric based attendance to face recognition based attendance system. In this project work, I have used machine learning techniques to create a complete system of automatic attendance system which can be implemented very easily. There are majorly four steps involved in the system. Firstly, the datasets can be created instantly using webcam and in the second stage the created data set have to be trained and the trainer algorithm will create the trainer.yml document. As a next step, the face recognition algorithm have to be performed in order to recognize the faces of various students and teacher. In the final step, the attendance of the students will be updated in the CSV file or Excel. The proposed work is very much suited for the real time applications like automatic attendance system. HaarCascade is very eff

Face recognition is one of the most popular and long-standing topics in computer vision. With the recent development of deep learning techniques and large-scale datasets, deep face recognition has made remarkable progress and been widely used in many real-world applications. Given a natural image or video frame as input, an end-to-end deep face recognition system outputs the face feature for recognition. To achieve this, a typical end-to-end system is built with three key elements: face detection, face alignment, and face representation. The face detection locates faces in the image or frame. Then, the face alignment is proceeded to calibrate the faces to the canonical view and crop them with a normalized pixel size. Finally, in the stage of face representation, the discriminative features are extracted from the aligned face for recognition. Nowadays, all of the three elements are fulfilled by the technique of deep convolutional neural network. In this survey article, we present a comprehensive review about the recent advance of each element of the end-to-end deep face recognition, since the thriving deep learning techniques have greatly improved the capability of them. To start with, we present an overview of the end-to-end deep face recognition. Then, we review the advance of each element, respectively, covering many aspects such as the to-date algorithm designs, evaluation metrics, datasets, performance comparison, existing challenges, and promising directions for future research. Also, we provide a detailed discussion about the effect of each element on its subsequent elements and the holistic system. Through this survey, we wish to bring contributions in two aspects: first, readers can conveniently identify the methods which are quite strong-baseline style in the subcategory for further exploration; second, one can also employ suitable methods for establishing a state-of-the-art end-to-end face recognition system from scratch.

A lot of user-generated data is available these days from huge platforms, blogs, websites, and other review sites. These data are usually unstructured. Analyzing sentiments from these data automatically is considered an important challenge. Several machine learning algorithms are implemented to check the opinions from large data sets. A lot of research has been undergone in understanding machine learning approaches to analyze sentiments. Machine learning mainly depends on the data required for model building, and hence, suitable feature exactions techniques also need to be carried. In this chapter, several deep learning approaches, its challenges, and future issues will be addressed. Deep learning techniques are considered important in predicting the sentiments of users. This chapter aims to analyze the deep-learning techniques for predicting sentiments and understanding the importance of several approaches for mining opinions and determining sentiment polarity.

In scientific world, Face recognition becomes an important research topic. The face identification system is an application capable of verifying a human face from a live videos or digital images. One of the best methods is to compare the particular facial attributes of a person with the images and its database. It is widely used in biometrics and security systems. Back in old days, face identification was a challenging concept. Because of the variations in viewpoint and facial expression, the deep learning neural network came into the technology stack it’s been very easy to detect and recognize the faces. The efficiency has increased dramatically. In this paper, ORL database is about the ten images of forty people helps to evaluate our methodology. We use the concept of Back Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) in deep learning model is to recognize the faces and increase the efficiency of the model compared to previously existing face recognition models.

Surveillance systems are used for the monitoring the activities directly or indirectly. Most of the surveillance system uses the face recognition techniques to monitor the activities. This system builds the automated contemporary biometric surveillance system based on deep learning. The application of the system can be used in various ways. The face prints of the persons will be stored inside the database with relevant statistics and does the face recognition. When any unknown face is recognized then alarm will ring so one can alert the security systems and in addition actions will be taken. The system learns changes while detecting faces automatically using deep learning and gain correct accuracy in face recognition. A deep learning method including Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is having great significance in the area of image processing. This system can be applicable to monitor the activities for the housing society premises.

A fast sparse representation face recognition algorithm based on Gabor dictionary and SL0 norm is proposed in this paper. The Gabor filters, which could effectively extract local directional features of the image at multiple scales, are less sensitive to variations of illumination, expression and camouflage. SL0 algorithm, with the advantages of calculation speed, require fewer measurement values by continuously differentiable function approximation L0 norm and reconstructed sparse signal by minimizing the approximate L0 norm. The algorithm obtain the local feature face by extracting the Gabor face feature, reduce the dimensions by principal component analysis, fast sparse classify by the SL0 norm. Under camouflage condition, The algorithm block the Gabor facial feature and improve the speed of formation of the Gabor dictionary. The experimental results on AR face database show that the proposed algorithm can improve recognition speed and recognition rate to some extent and can generalize well to the face recognition, even with a few training image per class.
