One of indicators to determine the quality of a journal can be observed from how many indexing institutions recognized it nationally and globally, such as Sinta, Scopus, and ScimagoJR. Furthermore, the rank of a journal in the indexing institution will add more value to the reputation of a journal. However, few journal editors are willing to share their experiences in managing a journal, from the beginning to getting recognition at the international level. Thus, this article describes the journey of the first journal in the mathematics education field from Indonesia called the Journal on Mathematics Education (JME), which is globally recognized and indexed on Scopus. JME's journey to gain global recognition is narrated in a structured way, starting from the history of journal formation, recognition at the local level, strategies to get authors from various countries, promotional activities to get credit, until finally getting a global position. In addition, this article also describes many contributions from world-class Mathematics Education researchers who have published their research results in JME. Finally, this article also describes the position of JME at national and international levels based on the data of several indexing institutes and JME's future targets.

One of the major task facing the Research Advisory Committee (RAC) is to serve the needs of two groups: researchers in mathematics education, who are primarily concerned with understanding the learning process: and practitioners (teachers, supervisors. principals), who are mainly concerned with finding more effective ways to teach children. Researchers, guided by their intuitions, study problems and often obtain results that are not directly applicable to the classroom situation: practitioners, on the other hand. actively pursue better ways to educate children in the classroom. To insist that researchers should address themselves only to the immediate problems of the classroom seems to be an unwise course of action, since the history of science includes many discoveries that had useful applications years, or even centuries, after their di scovery. Yet for researchers to ignore the need of the classroom may lead to sterile research results that only collect dust in the darkened corners of a library.

ResumoO trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar um mapeamento dos artigos envolvendo estudos históricos da Matemática publicados nos periódicos nacionais de qualis A1, A2 e B1 em ensino, no período de 2013 a 2018. Os dados foram coletados a partir da leitura dos títulos, resumos e palavras-chave dos artigos, que foram classificados entre os campos temáticos: História da Matemática, História da Educação Matemática e História na Educação Matemática. De um total de 13 revistas com 212 edições e 2516 publicações, foram categorizados 255 artigos, sendo 91 no campo História da Matemática, 123 no campo História da Educação Matemática e 41 no campo História na Educação Matemática. Dentre os periódicos analisados, a Revista Brasileira de História da Matemática (RBHM), que tem como foco a publicação de trabalhos acadêmicos originais sobre História da Matemática em geral e sobre suas relações com outros campos, como a Educação Matemática e a Filosofia da Matemática, foi o periódico com maior número de artigos identificados na análise, 72 ao todo. Com relação a quantidade de trabalhos classificados em História da Matemática, apesar de serem computados 91 artigos, desses, 59 se encontram na Revista Brasileira de História da Matemática (RBHM), restando 32 artigos identificados em 12 periódicos. Todos os outros periódicos tiveram um volume maior de artigos classificados no campo História da Educação Matemática, 113 ao todo, incluindo duas edições temáticas em dois periódicos. O campo História na Educação Matemática, foi o que teve menos trabalhos classificados, 41 ao todo. Os dados refletem uma mudança no panorama das produções de estudos históricos da Matemática, que inicialmente eram voltados principalmente para a História da Matemática e que, no decorrer do tempo passou-se a ter o crescimento de um movimento em torno da História da Educação Matemática. AbstractThe work aims to present a mapping of articles involving historical studies of Mathematics published in national journals of qualis A1, A2 and B1 in teaching, from 2013 to 2018. Data were collected from the reading of titles, abstracts and words -key of the articles, which were classified among the thematic fields: History of Mathematics, History of Mathematics Education and History in Mathematics Education. From a total of 13 magazines with 212 editions and 2516 publications, 255 articles were categorized, 91 in the History of Mathematics field, 123 in the History of Mathematics Education field and 41 in the History in Mathematics Education field. Among the journals analyzed, the Revista Brasileira de História da Matemática (RBHM), which focuses on the publication of original academic works on the History of Mathematics in general and on their relations with other fields, such as Mathematics Education and the Philosophy of Mathematics, was the journal with the largest number of articles identified in the analysis, 72 in all. Regarding the number of papers classified in the History of Mathematics, although 91 articles are computed, of these, 59 are in the Revista Brasileira de História da Matemática (RBHM), leaving 32 articles identified in 12 journals. All other journals had a higher volume of articles classified in the History of Mathematical Education field, 113 in all, including two thematic editions in two journals. The History in Mathematics Education field had the least classified jobs, 41 in all. The data reflect a change in the panorama of the production of historical studies of Mathematics, which initially were mainly focused on the History of Mathematics and which, over time, began to have the growth of a movement around the History of Mathematics Education. The development of e-commerce is growing very fast and cannot stop; it changes various sides of human life. This change is a big challenge for everyone, and this is a condition that must occur so that everyone can carry out activities more effectively and efficiently. This research produces a few kinds of Startup classification and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) classification. Furthermore, it provides C=R.S2 formula, a formula for developing CRM, and S=H.I2.M formula, a formula for developing a Startup. These two formulas were eventually evolving into the seven stages of Startup (the maturity level of Startup), where the seven steps are the stages in developing a Startup, starting from the local level to the international level. These seven stages work so that the Startup founder can gradually understand what needs and how to develop it by focusing more on CRM. The results of this study are a framework to be able to implement the seven stages. In order to improve the quality of college mathematic education, cultivating rational thinking of people, and improving the quality of nation, this paper make a comprehensive and systematic survey and analysis on college mathematic education. Results show that the team-constructer and quality of students in university have been changed, and it is not optimistic for mathematic learning of students. For the above problems, it is important and necessary to adjust the teaching content, improving teaching methods and means, promoting the cultural ideas and history of mathematics, and show humanistic concern to students.

Abstract The article draws on research on the quality of governance and its impact on Slovenian municipalities’ competitiveness. It presents the research results guided by two hypotheses: “Municipalities with a higher quality of governance are more competitive” and “The assessments of the quality of governance in Slovenian municipalities vary more than the assessments of the quality of governance in EU regions”. Starting from the general idea of governance as an undirected network of vertical and horizontal relations supports the importance of the research on the quality of governance and public administration in the EU environment on the local, regional, and national levels. As the low quality of governance impacts divergence in cohesion, mainly less developed and catching-up EU countries should focus on the development of the quality of governance and competitiveness at the regional and local levels. According to the research results, the Slovenian municipalities form several groups according to the behavior measured by the correlation between the quality of governance and the level of competitiveness. Additionally, the international comparison indicates that the quality of governance measured in Slovenian municipalities varies at least as much as in the EU regions. The evidence supports the quest for further research on the quality of governance and competitiveness to understand the dynamics of the development at the local and regional levels and develop proposals for improvement and measures adapted to the needs and capacities of groups of municipalities with similar behavior.

After a short overview of the history of probiotics, the author presents the development of human intestinal microflora based on the newest genetic data and the microbiological features of main probiotics. The indications of probiotic administration have been defined and extended in recent years. The author reviews significant results of probiotic treatment in some gastrointestinal diseases based on meta-analytical data. Probiotics are useful in preventing and treating diarrhoea caused by antibiotics and Clostridium difficile caused diarrhoea. In the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection, preparations containing certain Lactobacillus,Bifidobacterium strains or Saccaromyces boulardii could enhance by 5–10% the rate of successful eradication and reduce the incidence and severity of the side effects. Some symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and thus the quality of life can be improved by probiotics. Their beneficial effect in ulcerative colitis was proven, while in Crohn’s disease has not yet been defined. The use of probiotics is not included in guidelines, with the exception of the Maastricht IV/Florence consensus. For each disease it is advisable to use probiotics containing strains only with proven beneficial effect. The efficiency of preparations containing mixed strains has not yet been properly investigated. The author reviews the rare but potentially serious side effects of probiotics. In Hungary, there are many probiotic preparations available which can be purchased in pharmacies without prescription: their use is more empirical than evidence-based. The European Food Safety Authority has recently rejected claims for probiotics to be classed as medicines given the lack of convincing evidence on the effects of probiotics on human health and well-being. The interdisciplinary field of person-environment relations has, from its origins, addressed the transactional relationship between human behavior and the built environment. This body of knowledge has been based upon qualitative and quantitative assessment of phenomena in the “real world.” This knowledge base has been instrumental in advancing the quality of real, physical environments globally at various scales of inquiry and with myriad user/client constituencies. By contrast, scant attention has been devoted to using simulation as a means to examine and represent person-environment transactions and how what is learned can be applied. The present discussion posits that press-competency theory, with related aspects drawn from functionalist-evolutionary theory, can together function to help us learn of how the medium of film can yield further insights to person-environment (P-E) transactions in the real world. Sampling, combined with extemporary behavior setting analysis, provide the basis for this analysis of healthcare settings as expressed throughout the history of cinema. This method can be of significant aid in examining P-E transactions across diverse historical periods, building types and places, healthcare and otherwise, otherwise logistically, geographically, or temporally unattainable in real time and space.
