Despite growing school lunch availability in Germany, its utilization is still low, and students resort to unhealthy alternatives. We investigated predictors of school lunch participation and reasons for nonparticipation in 1215 schoolchildren. Children reported meal habits, parents provided family-related information (like socioeconomic status), and anthropometry was conducted on-site in schools. Associations between school lunch participation and family-related predictors were estimated using logistic regression controlling for age and gender if necessary. School was added as a random effect. School lunch participation was primarily associated with family factors. While having breakfast on schooldays was positively associated with school lunch participation (ORadj = 2.20, p = 0.002), lower secondary schools (ORadj = 0.52, p < 0.001) and low SES (ORadj = 0.25, p < 0.001) were negatively associated. The main reasons for nonparticipation were school- and lunch-related factors (taste, time constraints, pricing). Parents reported pricing as crucial a reason as an unpleasant taste for nonparticipation. Nonparticipants bought sandwiches and energy drinks significantly more often on school days, whereas participants were less often affected by overweight (OR = 0.66, p = 0.043). Our data stress school- and lunch-related factors as an important opportunity to foster school lunch utilization.

Abstract The purpose of the study was to find out behavior setting and its elements in Kampung Blok Empang. Kampung Blok Empang which is located on the coast of North Jakarta has a port setting and is bypassed by tourist access to the Kepulauan Seribu, so it is interesting to know how the behavior setting in this village is. Data collection is done by field observation and secondary data. The approach used in this research is deductive-qualitative with the research variables in the form of behavior setting. The Behavior Setting in Kampung Blok Empang is shown by how the setting of the urban village located in the port area affects most of the relationships between physical objects and the behavior of residents in the village. The best performance of behavior setting in Kampung Blok Empang is shown in the open space because its milieu-behavior interdependency. It is shown by the repetitive behavior in this specific milieu. The spatial Pattern type is formed by the collective activity of residents and the sea condition. They were characterized by the repetitive activities within their economic and social aspects.

Cyber village is a residential area in RT (neighborhood association) 36 in the tourist area in Tamansari Yogyakarta. It has recognized image as an information technology based region with good internet network. Internet technology at the cyber village is slowly changing the behavior of the citizens from the social, economy, culture and tourism aspects. The behavior changes on the social, economic, cultural and tourism aspects affect the spatial setting at Tamansari "cyber" village to become a unique tourist area. The methods used in this research were Qualitative Research through observation to identify phenomena that occur, interviews, and literature studies that were analyzed by behavior setting method. The results of this research showed that changes in the image of the region influence the citizens’ behavior that finally creates certain spatial settings to meet the needs for space which could accommodate the village potentials, covering the social, economic, tourism and cultural potentials.

Modern database management systems (DBMS) expose dozens of configurable knobs that control their runtime behavior. Setting these knobs correctly for an application's workload can improve the performance and efficiency of the DBMS. But because of their complexity, tuning a DBMS often requires considerable effort from experienced database administrators (DBAs). Recent work on automated tuning methods using machine learning (ML) have shown to achieve better performance compared with expert DBAs. These ML-based methods, however, were evaluated on synthetic workloads with limited tuning opportunities, and thus it is unknown whether they provide the same benefit in a production environment. To better understand ML-based tuning, we conducted a thorough evaluation of ML-based DBMS knob tuning methods on an enterprise database application. We use the OtterTune tuning service to compare three state-of-the-art ML algorithms on an Oracle installation with a real workload trace. Our results with OtterTune show that these algorithms generate knob configurations that improve performance by 45% over enterprise-grade configurations. We also identify deployment and measurement issues that were overlooked by previous research in automated DBMS tuning services.

The era of globalization as it is today is an era with technological advances that make it easier to obtain and obtain information. Easy internet access affects unlimited human desires. Many of these human desires form an increased lifestyle, to fulfill these desires many are looking for ways to earn additional income outside of their main job. One way out for people with middle to lower income is to create a business unit in their home or occupancy which is also called Home Based Enterprises or home-based businesses. This study seeks to analyze the characteristics of the hbes in the main corridor of Penatih Village, East Denpasar, which is a residential area. Changes in space that occur in the house, especially the telajak section into a business unit, cause a change in the behavior of the residents of the house and also the community of road users. This behavior has a significant impact on the development of the corridor in addition to decreasing the quality of the settlements to become less comfortable, the appearance of the building mismatch, traffic jams that make it unsafe to drive through the corridor due to economic activities carried out by residents and buyers, so parking space is needed. To accommodate vehicles that are parked to visit Hbes the goal is to create a beautiful, comfortable and safe environment.  Index Terms— home based enterprises, behavior setting, parking

Parks and green spaces are significant areas that are necessary to reduce citizens’ mental and moral pressures more than ever. So, as for the importance of parks and urban green spaces, consideration of influencing factors on performance of these areas as citizen’s social behavior setting is basically significant. This research seeks to answer the question of how citizens’ behaviors are distinctly the same in terms of gender, age and social and economic characteristics in urban parks. The population of this research is represented by those who go to the parks and green spaces of Tabriz metropolis. The Cochran’s formula was used to select a sample of 400 subjects who were specified by a simple random method. The reliability of the questionnaire was calculated at 0.902 using the Cronbach’s alpha formula while the research data was analyzed via the descriptive-inferential approach. The implementation of factor analysis model reduced the 62 variables of citizens’ social behavior to 23 variables and 4 factors. In considering the effects on citizen’s behavior in parks, these factors in order of preference are: social-psychological, physical-structural, economic and environmental. These four factors can explain 85.272% of the citizen’s social behavior. The stepwise regression test results showed that all the analyzed variables, referring to the performance of citizen’s social behavioral setting in parks and urban green spaces, are positively and meaningfully correlated. The independent t-test results showed that the urban park performances as behavior setting register significant differences between men and women. In this sense, the conclusions of the paper highlight the need to consider the complex needs of the residents in the designing and execution process of urban parks and green spaces.
