Jihad and radicalism are often juxtaposed as if jihad is identical to radicalism. Unfortunately, the general public often mistakenly associates Pesantren with radicalism. Islam does not teach radicalism; instead Islam is a religion of peace. The concept of jihad in Islam cannot be identified with religious radicalism because jihad has broad meanings. This study was conducted to find out the epistemology of Islamic education at Pesantren in terms of the issues of jihad and radicalism. This study was conducted at Pesantren Al-Furqon in Musi Rawas district. Pesantren Al-Furqon organized an integrated Islamic school providing education making Islam a basis and guideline in carrying out learning activities and in shaping students’ attitudes and behavior. This study revealed that Islamic education at Pesantren Al-Furqon taught students to behave nobly according to Islamic teachings. Jihad was interpreted as sincere efforts to bring about peace but not in the sense of radicalism.

The aims of the study were (a) to test the effectiveness of the theory of planned behavior (TPB) to predict Greek university students’ voluntary participation in an extracurricular gymnastics course, and (b) to evaluate gender differences. Two hundred sixty-three (127 female, 136 male) students participated in the study. Students’ attitudes, intention, and PBC were measured with a questionnaire and their attendance in the course was recorded by the teacher. Results from the MANOVA conducted showed that females had higher scores compared with males in all observed variables. Results from the structural equation modeling (SEM) employed supported the usefulness of TPB to explain students’ attitudes and behavior toward extracurricular physical activities (PA). Differences also emerged on path structure of the relationships among the variables.

Nonmedical use of prescription stimulants (NMUPS) among college students continues to rise. While some anti-NMUPS campaigns are available, little is known about the campaign development process and how well college students evaluate these messages. To bridge this gap, we developed theory-guided anti-NMUPS campaign interventions that are tailored to college students’ characteristics and evaluated students’ response towards them. A total of 445 college students (74.4% female; Meanage of 20; 18 to 35 years old) reviewed the campaign interventions and offered their evaluation via an online survey. Findings indicate that students responded to the campaigns positively. Results also indicate that female students are more likely to perceive the campaigns as effective than their male counterparts. Overall, the findings of this study suggest that theory-guided and tailored anti-NMUPS campaigns have great potential in changing students’ attitudes and behavior towards NMUPS. While this study fills critical gaps in the literature, considering the progress needed to strengthen the research field, more research is needed to further identify effective strategies that could prevent college students’ participation in NMUPS activities.

Lack of independence of students solving problems with friends while playing or when the learning process is taking place. The problems that occur often make the parents intervene. Related to this problem, there is a game method that can train student cooperation and responsibility, the game is usually called Gobak Sodor. This game has a positive impact on students' attitudes and behavior. Thus, the writer wanted to know whether there was a significant effect of giving the traditional Gobak Sodor game on student behavior. The research technique used is to use quantitative methods. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used paired sample t-test, based on the results of the pretest and posttest, the average value of student behavior was 42.97 and the post-test was 46.94. The results of hypothesis testing obtained the value of Sig. (2-tailed) <0.05 at the pretest and posttest with a value of 0.000 <0.05. In accordance with hypothesis testing, namely the value of Sig. (2-tailed) <0.05, then Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. This shows that there is an effect of giving the traditional Gobak Sodor game on student behavior.

The study aims at examining the determinants that affect learners’ attitude and behavior intention regarding their use social media to achieve collaborative learning. Such examination is carried out by using the Theory Acceptance Model (TAM) and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Usage of Technology (UTAUT). A total of 243 participants were recruited for this study. The findings indicated that students’ attitudes and behavior are strong indicators of their intentions in terms of using social media in collaborative learning.
