The research subject is the algorithm of students self monitoring of their shooting training results and the scope of theoretical knowledge in firearms training which are recorded in a self monitoring diary. Students are offered to fill in the sections and columns of a self monitoring diary in accordance with the conditions and standards of exercises of the Firearms training guidelines of internal affairs agencies of the Russian Federation approved by the decree of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia of November 21, 2017 No 880. The research object is the fire discipline of persons being trained in internal affairs bodies of Russia with no prior service. Based on the results of the research of the peculiarities of professional training of internal affairs officers with no prior service, the authors formulate the main sections of a self monitoring diary and offer the variant of a diary design. A shooting results self monitoring diary was tested at firearms training and firearms grenade throwing skills improvement lessons in the course of professional training programs for privates, junior, middle and senior commanders of internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation.

The article surveys didactic conditions of trainingofficers of Special Forces of RF Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) as part of their vocational on-duty training. The aim of the article is content-analysis of vocational on-duty training and prospects of organizingservice and operational training for officers of MIA. The relevance of the article is determined by establishingthe need to strengthen scientific component of all kinds of professional training of officers of MIA Special Forces.Service and operational training is considered a key factor of increasing professional competence of Special Forces officers, and of maintaining high level of personnel readiness for action in complex operational situations as well as the basis for successful solving of operational tasks. Moreover, the article includes propositions on didactic optimisation of MIA Special Forces officers� vocational on-duty training on the whole and service and operational training in particular.

In the conditions of constant reform and improvement of state bodies of the Russian Federation, the role of the executive power as a body that was a link between the state will and society is increasing. Due to the peculiarity of the organization of the structure of the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the relationship between the internal affairs bodies and the population (an individual citizen) is provided by the district department of internal Affairs. Police officers in the district department, as a rule, are among the first to receive information about changes in the operational situation, and this information is often associated with various kinds of emergencies. The correct analysis and prompt response to incoming information depends on the professional training of employees of the district police department. When applying to the internal affairs bodies, a citizen interacts with the district departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the solution of the problem that was the reason for the appeal largely depends on the skillful actions of the police officers, the quality and order of services to citizens who applied for help to the internal affairs bodies depends on the competently constructed activities of the district department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This study aims to develop scientific proposals and recommendations for improving the management of the activities of the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation at the district level.

In recent years, higher educational institutions of the Baltic countries have become more and more popular among Russian youth wishing to get higher education (or take a certain course of professional training) abroad. The article, covering the period before the onset of the coronavirus epidemic, highlights the education of Russian students in universities in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. It is noted that a significant part of the students from the Russian Federation come from the Russian regions bordering on the Baltic states. The appendix presents the opinions of Russian students about the learning process and the quality of education received in Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian universities.
