Frontier markets, particularly the Moroccan financial market, are characterized by a narrowness of market, inability to absorb erratic price fluctuations and the low liquidity of securities that encourage investors to herd and imitate those who have all the information about the market. A quantitative research approach was used to analyze the existence of herding n Moroccan stock market. The daily data used in this study concerns the period from 04/01/2010 to 29/12/2017 and contains the daily returns of the MASI and a total of 43 traded stocks. Statistical and econometric methods such as multidimensional scaling and Cross-sectional absolute deviation were used. Subsequently, after the regression models were examined, findings indicated that the first stocks with the highest similarity to the index return are BMCE, BCP, IAM, ATW and CMSR, and the first stocks with the highest dissimilarity are PAP, IBC and SNP, This will have to allow investors to choose profitable alternatives and avoid those that present a possible risk. The results did also show the existence of herding in the Moroccan stock market both upward and downward. This finding was supported by the clear existence of a non-linearity between market performance and CSAD measurement, which confirms the prediction of a non-linear inversion relationship between CSAD and 𝑅𝑚. This could be due to the low level of transparency that prevails in frontier stock exchanges and reduces the quality of their information environment, which leads investors not to react rationally and to draw information from the transactions of their peers.

This study aims to determine the effect of quality and the dominant variables that affect service on patient satisfaction at the Haji-Medan Hospital in 2020. The quantitative research was conducted through an analytical survey research approach with a cross sectional study approach. Testing through logistic regression on the independent variables, namely; Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, Empathy and Tangible from the respondents' questionnaire data as many as 80 samples. The results showed that service quality had a significant effect on patient satisfaction from four variables, namely; reliability p value 0.020 (p < 0.05), responsiveness p value 0.038 (p < 0.05), empathy p value 0.000 (p < 0.05), p value tangible 0.001 (p < 0.05). Assurance variable, the quality of health services has no effect on patient satisfaction with a p value of 0.332 (p> 0.05). The dominant variable affecting patient satisfaction is the empathy variable. It is recommended to improve services from the aspect of assurance in order to increase patient confidence in getting services so that patients can feel satisfied with the services provided.

Data collection of respondent characteristics was conducted by using questionnaire of respondent characteristics. The level of family support was assessed by using family support questionnaires proposed by Friedman and the quality of life of the respondents was measured using the SQLS questionnaires. Based on the analysis by using Spearman-Rank test, there is a significant correlation between family support and quality of life of respondents with p = 0,000 (p <0,05) and strong correlation value of 0.618 and positive correlation direction which means if family support increases then the quality of life of respondents will increase and vice versa. Purpose This study aims to investigate the impacts of procurement strategies on the growing proportion of construction small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and whether the size of the construction company moderates the effect. Design/methodology/approach This study adopted a quantitative research approach and a cross-sectional questionnaire survey in achieving its objectives. The survey requires the respondent to identify both the most successful and most outstanding project that the respondent was involved in between 2010 and 2016. Findings The study found that only traditional and management-oriented procurement strategies ensure the achievement of all growth plans for construction SMEs in South Africa; and that medium-sized construction enterprises achieve social growth such as community empowerment, managerial skills and advancement on the cidb Register of Contractors. Practical implications The findings of the study imply that policymakers should base their decisions regarding macroeconomic issues and growth plans for construction SMEs on the internal and external factors such as differences in the sizes of construction SMEs and differences in the suitability of procurement strategies affecting the growth of construction SMEs. Originality/value In past studies, the diversity amongst SMEs is often overlooked and SMEs are erroneously assumed to share similar objectives, possess equal capabilities and face challenges of the same magnitude. The original contribution of this study is shown in the investigation of the moderating effect of SMEs’ diversity (in terms of company size) on their growth proportion as influenced by procurement strategies.

Purpose – This paper aims to extend previous studies on new product development (NPD) performance by identifying the product advantage, new product performance and organisational performance indicators that are considered by small and medium-sized firms (SMEs) to be most relevant to their performance. Design/methodology/approach – A quantitative research approach was adopted, using a cross-sectional survey of a sample of 137 firms representing the industry sectors active within the Irish economy. The research instrument was based on existing recognised research measures. Findings – The results suggest that: large firms consider that their products derive advantage through product quality and cost, while SMEs are more concerned with satisfying customer needs; larger firms concentrate on market measures in measuring new product performance, while SMEs focus on customer acceptance measures; and in measuring organisational performance larger firms focus on market share and profitability, while SMEs concentrate on profitability and sales growth. Research limitations/implications – This study identifies the aspects of product advantage, new product performance and organisational performance on which firms concentrate, thereby increasing our ability to redirect their focus from what they consider to be important, to what will have an impact on their firm's performance. Originality/value – This study identifies the aspects of product advantage, new product performance and organisational performance on which firms concentrate, thereby increasing our ability to redirect their focus from what they consider to be important, to what will have an impact on their firm's performance.

The banking industry in the Wa Municipality has experienced some growth over the past decade. This results in increased competition among banks in the industry as each bank tries to capture a greater market share. Banks achieve competitive advantage through innovations of products that reflect customers’ expectations. Despite this competition, customer satisfaction in GCB Bank Limited is perceived to be low. However, there is no empirical evidence to establish whether the products and services delivered by the bank meet customers’ expectation. This study was set out to assess the quality of products and services of GCB bank; and to assess the level of customer satisfaction with products and services of GCB bank. The study employed the cross-sectional research design and the mixed research approach so that the research findings could be generalized. Primary data were collected from 155 customers of GCB bank using questionnaires. The customers were selected through accidental sampling. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics. The study revealed that current account, savings account and ATM services were at least of high quality to majority of the respondents. However, over 40% of the respondents were not satisfied with the quality of the bank’s products and services. Management of GCB bank should organize a regular in-service training programme on customer service for the entire staff of the Wa branch in order to improve their customer service skills which would ultimately impact positively on the performance of the bank.
