The contemporary society has been through a vast number of changes that affect childhood education in the whole world, especially in Brazil. The absence of public politics that includes the education of children between zero and seven years, has been incipient. Currently, we are facing serious social problems and there is a necessity of reviewing those politics in order to avoid going against democracy, offering low quality education to the less fortunate layers of society. Therefore, the present article is not the result of a research but has its goal based on concept of politics to analyze historically the course of childhood education in Brazil, taking in consideration its challenges, and reflect which are the possible changes to be considered for the next decade.

Abstract This essay investigates forensic fiction as a trend in televised crime fiction and argues that this trend or subgenre is particularly interesting if we are to understand how surveillance is portrayed in contemporary society. The essay looks particularly into an extremely popular example of forensic fiction, namely CSI and its two spin-offs CSI: NY and CSI: Miami. Through a discussion of the conceptions of knowledge, crime and power, which seem to come forth in the three CSI series, the present article argues that the particular blend of technological optimism, positivism and moralism that can be witnessed in forensic fiction in general, and in CSI in particular, is important to understanding how popular culture lends a certain normalization of surveillance to everyday life

These days we find a lot more focus on ‘quality’ in the field of higher education than ever before. In fact, it is the concept of quality that makes higher education ‘higher’. Earlier, the pursuit of higher education was elitist. The focus used to be on ‘knowledge for the sake of knowledge’. However, with the massification of higher education in the wake of knowledge-based and technology-driven modern economies worldwide, we find the focus shifting to employability of the students in rapidly changing world of work. The quality education implies not only equipping the students with requisite knowledge and skills for their chosen career field but also to prepare them for lifelong learning. It is expected to train the students to think and act critically beyond university in the interest of society and humankind. The present article focuses on the changing perspectives of the quality in higher education in India. The methodology adopted is analytical, comparative and empirical.

Through exploratory research, the purpose of this study was to discuss such “gaps” through their identification and discussion. The study reveals that access to the vacancy and the permanence of the child in this stage of education poses as one of the challenges the reduction of the disparities in access, especially for socioeconomic reasons. It is known that children with families with less or no purchasing power have been left out of this right. The study revealed that the municipalities need to expand the offer of care, without marginalizing the quality of services offered, not only providing access, but also ensuring full-time permanence. Keywords: Early childhood education.
