The questions of spatial development as a modernization driver (the Kazakhstan case) are considered in this article. The analysis of the regional economic differences makes possible to work out the development guidelines, based on the advantages combination of the basic goods specialization and the policy of transferring growth impulses from the raw materials sector to the industry and service ones. Current challenges and opportunities, which face the Kazakhstan economy, the questions of economic diversification drive up the importance of the connection between spatial development and the cluster priorities. The analytical scheme of macro-regions and diversification through the dynamic focal networks can settle up these challenges.

The article discusses the conceptual foundations of the development of the general sociological theory of J.G.Turner. These foundations are metatheoretical ideas, basic concepts and an analytical scheme. Turner began to develop a general sociological theory with a synthesis of metatheoretical ideas of social forces and social selection. He formulated a synthetic metatheoretical statement: social forces cause selection pressures on individuals and force them to change the patterns of their social organization and create new types of sociocultural formations to survive under these pressures. Turner systematized the basic concepts of his theorizing with the allocation of micro-, meso- and macro-levels of social reality. On this basis, he substantiated a simple conceptual scheme of social dynamics. According to this scheme, the forces of macrosocial dynamics of the population, production, distribution, regulation and reproduction cause social evolution. These forces force individual and corporate actors to structurally adapt their communities in altered circumstances. Such adaptation helps to overcome or avoid the disintegration consequences of these forces. The initial stage of Turner's general theorizing is a kind of audit, modification, modernization and systematization of the conceptual apparatus of sociology. The initial results obtained became the basis for the development of his conception of the dynamics of functional selection in the social world.

The forthcoming 6G will attempt to rewrite the communication networks’ perspective focusing on a shift in paradigm in the way technologies and services are conceived, integrated and used. In this viewpoint, the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) represents a merger of medical devices and health applications that are connected through networks, introducing an important change in managing the disease, treatments and diagnosis, reducing costs and faults. In 6G, the edge intelligence moves the innovative abilities from the central cloud to the edge and jointly with the complex systems approach will enable the development of a new category of lightweight applications as microservices. It requires edge intelligence also for the service evaluation in order to introduce the same degree of adaptability. We propose a new evaluation model, called CoKnowEMe (context knowledge evaluation model), by introducing an architectural and analytical scheme, modeled following a complex and dynamical approach, consisting of three inter-operable level and different networked attributes, to quantify the quality of IoMT microservices depending on a changeable context of use. We conduct simulations to display and quantify the structural complex properties and performance statistical estimators. We select and classify suitable attributes through a further detailed procedure in a supplementary information document.

Abstract This paper is concerned with the storage policy of the citizens’ hospital of Regensburg in the Early Modern period (focus: 18th century). The main purpose consists of (1) a source-based micro-study that helps to derive insights into the mechanisms of how experiences and expectations have influenced decisions by a pre-modern institution, (2) an analytical scheme for describing and evaluating the process of decision-making based on narrative evidence, and (3) the suggestion of analytical categories. These should allow a differentiation between time-invariant human behaviour that determines economic decisions, and time-specific factors which can be used to separate possibly “pre-modern” patterns from seemingly modern-day capitalist economic performance.

Abstract This paper presents an analytical technique for the analysis of a stochastic dynamic system whose damping behavior is described by a fractional derivative of order 1/2. In this approach, an eigenvector expansion method proposed by Suarez and Shokooh is used to obtain the response of the system. The properties of Laplace transforms of convolution integrals are used to write a set of general Duhamel integral type expressions. The general response contains two parts, namely zero state and zero input. For a stochastic analysis the input force is treated as a random process with specified mean and correlation functions. An expectation operator is applied on a set of expressions to obtain the stochastic characteristics of the system. Closed form stochastic response expressions are obtained for white noise. Numerical results are presented to show the stochastic response of a fractionally damped system subjected to white noise.

Image segmentation variational method is good at processing the images with blurry and complicated contours, which is useful in quality identification of pathologic picture of onion. An adaptive Shannon wavelet precise integration method (WPIM) on digital image segmentation was proposed based on the image processing variational model to improve the processing speed and eliminate the artifacts of the images. First, taking full advantage of the interpolation property of the Shannon wavelet function, a multiscale Shannon wavelet interpolation scheme was constructed based on the homotopy perturbation method (HPM). The image pixels of the Burkholderia cepacia (ex-Burkholder) infected onions were taken as the collocation points of the WPIM. Then, with this scheme, the image segmentation model (C-V model) can be discretized into a system of nonlinear ODEs and solved by the half-analytical scheme combining the HPM and the precision integration method. At last, the numerical precision and efficiency of WPIM were discussed and compared with other common segmentation methods such as OSTU method and Sobel operator. The results show that the contour curve of the segmentation object obtained by the new method has many excellent properties such as closed and clear topological structure and the artifacts can be eliminated.
