The overview information is provided concerning the state of affairs in the mining industry in the field of industrial safety. It is shown that the multifactorial nature of the occupational risks (industrial, fire, environmental) forms a request for the development of risk monitoring system, as a result, a risk management system at hazardous facilities in accordance with the requirements of the supervisory authorities of the Russian Federation. The urgency and advisability of the application of process approach at the stage of development and implementation of the risk management system in the organizations and industrial enterprises of mining industry based on GOST R ISO 31000—2019 «Risk management. Principles and Guidelines» which establishes the basic approaches required for ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the risk monitoring system. The analysis is given related to the advantages and opportunities in the implementation of risk management in the organization. Process model of the risk management system in the mining organizations at the stage of development and implementation based on Deming PDCA cycle was built. Graphical map of the risk management system processes was developed and presented which complies with the requirements of GOST R ISO 31000—2019. The process of creating the risk management system using SADT (Structured Analysis and Design Technique) and IDEF0 methodology is shown in the article. The main context diagram of the process of creating the risk management system in IDEF0 notation was developed. The decomposition of the processes of the second and third levels is presented, all their functional links are described. Balance of the developed models is confirmed by the quantitative analysis of subprocess diagrams. It is demonstrated that the process approach used at designing the risk management system allows to structure the composition of processes, clearly define input and output parameters of the processes, process participants, resources, and ensure control and process adjustment.

The article considers the concept of "risk in railway transport", identifies the types of risks that exist in the railway transport of Ukraine; determined that the processes of transformation of economic relations in Ukraine require the deepening of theoretical and practical developments in risk management in the field of railway transport; the risk management process according to the ISO 31000: 2018 standard is given; according to the implemented Strategy and Policy of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" the main tasks of the risk management system are defined and the risk map of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" is developed; The results of the structural reform of railway transport were insufficient to create effective sources of development in the short term, which will ensure large-scale attraction of funds for the development of the industry and its modernization. The results of the structural reform of railway transport were insufficient to create effective sources of development in the short term, which will ensure large-scale attraction of funds for the development of the industry and its modernization. Many types of risks that need to be assessed, as well as different purposes of assessing the same type of risk (for the purposes of state supervision and company purposes) provide JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" a real challenge in terms of building risk assessment models. The task of applying the method of assessing a specific type of risk is significantly different from the task of building a methodology for assessing the risks of a large company. In solving this problem, it is important to keep in mind that a method successfully applied in one area may be completely ineffective in another. Risk classification of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" should be carried out taking into account the existing management structure, as well as the tasks to be solved at each level of management; the effect of the risk management system should be synergistic, each element of each level of management should be effective: from the structural unit at the linear level to the department of the corporate level of management. Currently, for the company's internal purposes, several dozen risks have been formulated related to various areas of life of JSC UZ: from financial activities to locomotive maintenance and innovative development.

This paper reflects the problematic situation in the field of risk-management at mining enterprises. It is connected with the fact that not all hired top managers understand the role and importance of the risk management system in the overall management system of a mining enterprise. However, an increase in the number and weight of the consequences of the onset of risk events has recently changed the vision of senior management, business owners and other stakeholders in favor of recognizing the need to create in the structure of mining enterprises, if not separate, specialized structural units, in the form of a risk management service, then at least introduction of a staff unit of a specialist - a risk-manager , who clearly understands what the organization is doing to form and increase the value of a business and how he can influence this, demonstrating his professional knowledge, skills, and even some insight in anticipating future risks of a mining enterprise ... But the economic situation in the region, the country and the world does not allow, due to financial constraints, to fully implement the technologies developed in theory and fixed in practice for the application of methods and approaches to risk management in the mining industry, including the purchase of expensive software products that allow the formation of an effective risk-management system. Therefore, mining risk management professionals need to take full advantage of the potential and benefits of the GRC system, which has existed since 2004, which aims to use a common language and corporate risk management methodology to achieve the company's strategic goals. The results of the studies presented in this paper state that the main risks that the owners of mining enterprises are concerned about are financial risks and operational risks, legal risks, commercial risks and the risk of fraud, as well as natural, environmental and man-made risks, but a significant part of mining enterprises in the region does not have a well-developed risk management system, does not carry out systematic work to identify risks, assess risks and their possible consequences, and therefore: either operate at extreme risk, taking catastrophic risk, or work at the margin of profitability, refusing to accept risks, even there, where you really need it. However, one should proceed from their understanding that technologies in the field of corporate governance of mining enterprises, including risk management, can not only form lines of defence against risks, but also increase the value of a mining enterprise through an effective risk-management system.

The main objective of this chapter is to suggest a methodology for the application of ISO 55000 for a water utility in order to obtain all the benefits of asset management from the starting point of application. In addition, risk is an important part of this methodology, so it also complies with the clauses of ISO 31000. The methodology consists of six steps to be carried out: plan (1), implement (2), risk management (3), monitor (4), analyze (5) and make decisions and improvements (6). The application of this methodology is an iterative process in which the information obtained is going to be used in the previous and subsequent steps so that its benefits are greater as time goes by. At each point in the guide, the actions to be taken in compliance with the clauses and sub-clauses of ISO 55001 will be proposed along with some documents so that companies have a clearer idea of how to proceed.

Risk management has been widely studied and applied in oil and gas pipeline projects, but the reality is that the impacts still occur. This is due to the ineffectiveness of existing risk management applications, so of course in this case an effective risk management system is needed, in which risk management must pay attention to all aspects that exist, both internal aspects, external aspects, and other aspects that can affect and influenced by existing risks and risk management not only can be used as a preventive method. But it can also support sustainable development targets. This paper presents the application of risk management by oil and gas companies in Indonesia that has been adapted to ISO 31000:2009 as a framework that can integrate various other management processes, including the management of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) risk in the hope of that sustainable development can be achieved . But in the reality it can not be denied that the activities that continue to this day still cause negative impact, especially for the environment. International oil and gas companies nowadays place more emphasis on preventive measures than the methods of mitigation. Thus it shows that the concept of sustainable development has not been fully considered in risk management applications. The existence of a continuous negative impact would greatly affect the credibility of oil and gas companies. Based on the results of research conducted with the hybrid method and analyzed with the help of System Dynamics it can be concluded that there are 3 (three) factors that can affect reputation risk, these factors are social, environmental, and economic and the model built in this study shows that it will can help the oil and gas company players to predict and improve the company’s reputation.

Abstract Risk management is an integrative part of all types of project management. One of the main tasks of pre-investment studies and other project documentation is the tendency to protect investment projects as much as possible against investment risks. Therefore, the provision and regulation of risk information ensure the identification of the probability of the emergence of adverse events, their forms, causes and consequences, and provides a timely measures of protection against risks. This means that risk management involves a set of management methods and techniques used to reduce the possibility of realizing the adverse events and consequences and thus increase the possibilities of achieving the planned results with minimal losses. Investment in mining projects are of capital importance because they are very complex projects, therefore being very risky, because of the influence of internal and external factors and limitations arising from the socio-economic environment. Due to the lack of a risk management system, numerous organizations worldwide have suffered significant financial losses. Therefore, it is necessary for any organization to establish a risk management system as a structural element of system management system as a whole. This paper presents an approach to a Risk management model in the project of opening a surface coal mine, developed based on studies of extensive scientific literature and personal experiences of the author, and which, with certain modifications, may find use for any investment project, both in the mining industry as well as in investment projects in other areas.

Today, little attention is paid to risks, with management focusing more on performance indicators and business results than on analyzing dangerous situations and finding new opportunities. The risk management system proposed in this paper will help to take risks under control and systematize the risk management process. Ideally, it should be integrated into the quality management system. The paper also provides a study on the development of methods for identifying, analyzing and assessing strategic risks. The risk management process is described in accordance with GOST R ISO 31000-2019; methods of risk management are considered. The risk management system included a register, a questionnaire, criteria for the severity of risk and the likelihood of occurrence, as well as a matrix of risks with a description of its zones and levels of risk. The paper provides a procedure for risk management, which describes the stages of the risk management process and their relationship with the approach proposed in GOST R ISO 31000. The standard questions of the questionnaire are formulated that will help simplify the process of identifying risks in the enterprise if the manager does not have a certain plan. A form of a risk register is proposed, which consists of successively filled columns: strategic goal, risk, qualitative risk analysis, quantitative risk assessment, risk reduction. It also describes how to fill it out and its main functions. Thus, the entire risk management system is described through its separate, but interconnected parts. With a competent approach and the integration of RMS into the QMS, risk management will give a tangible effect.
