This research aims to determine the effect of management background which proxy by accounting education background, MBA education background, Chinese ethnicity and intellectual capital (VAIC) on conventional banks’ financial performance (ROA) in Indonesia. The Population consists of all conventional banks listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange period of 2012 to 2015. Using purposive sampling method to screen the data, the final sample for this research is 140 data that consists of 39 banking companies. This research used Eviews7 software to conduct panel data regression analysis. The results showed that accounting education background and Chinese ethnicity are not significantly affect financial performance. Meanwhile MBA education background and VAIC are significantly affecting financial performance (ROA).Keywords: management background, VAIC, ROA, banking.

<p>This research aims to determine the effect of accounting education background, MBA education background, and the proportion of Chinese ethnic as well as intellectual capital measured by VAIC method on conventional banking financial performance in Indonesia. The population in this study is the entire conventional banking companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange that has been operating over the range of 2012-2015, so we get a sample totalling 29 companies. This research used Eviews 7 software to conduct panel data regression analysis. The results showed that accounting education background and Chinese ethnic are not significantly affecting financial performance. Meanwhile MBA education background and VAIC are significantly affecting financial performance (ROA).</p>

Knowledge and intangible assets become the important source of competitive advatage for company (knowledgw-based economy). The study aims was to investigate the effect of intellectual capital, institutional ownership to profitability and firm value. Sample used were 6 manufacturing companies of sub sectors consumer goods industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2012 to 2017, with purposive sampling, secondary data, and panel data regression analysis. The results indicated that simultaneous intellectual capital and institutional ownership affected financial performance. Partially intellectual capital had a positive and significant effect on financial performance, but institutional ownership did not have significant effect. Financial performance has a positive and significant effect on firm value. Intelectual capital had an important roles to increase performance and value of the firm.

Abstract.The study aims to examine the effect of Intellectual Capital on Market Performance and Financial Performance in the LQ45 companies. It uses the sample of LQ45 companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2010-2013. The sample is determined by using Purposive Sampling method. The study conducts 72 observations of 18 samples of the companies. The hypothesis is tested using Panel Data Regression. The study indicates that the Intellectual Capital (VAIC) and VACA of companies significantly influence market performance (Tobins'Q) and financial performance of Return on Assets (ROA) and Assets Turnover (ATO). VAHU significantly effects on the financial performance of Return on Assets (ROA) and STVA significantly effects on the financial performance of Assets Turnover (ATO). Meanwhile, VAHU has no significant effect on the market performance (Tobins'Q) and financial performance of Assets Turnover (ATO). And STVA has no significant effect on the market performance (Tobins'Q) and financial performance of Return on Assets (ROA).Keywords: intellectual capital; lq45; market performance; financial performance; tobins'q; return on assets; assets turnover.Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh Intellectual Capital terhadap Kinerja Pasar dan Kinerja Keuangan pada Perusahaan LQ45.Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel perusahaan LQ45 yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama periode 2010-2013.Sampel ditentukan dengan menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling.Penelitian ini memiliki 72 amatan dari 18 sampel perusahaan.Dalam penelitian ini, hipotesis diuji dengan menggunakan Regresi Data Panel. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Intellectual Capital (VAIC) dan VACA perusahaan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pasar (Tobins’Q) dan kinerja keuangan Return on Asset (ROA) dan Assets Turnover (ATO). VAHU berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan Return on Asset (ROA) dan STVA berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan Assets Turnover (ATO). Sedangkan VAHU tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pasar (Tobins’Q) dan kinerja keuangan Assets Turnover (ATO). This study analyzes the effect of intellectual capital performance on the company's financial performance in the current year and the following year. We use the Modified Value Added Coefficient (MVAIC) to measure the performance of company's intellectual capital. The research sample is companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) 2015-2017 which are included in the High-IC intensive industries category based on the classification of the Global Industries Classification Standard (GICS). Samples were obtained using purposive sampling technique in order to obtain 112 companies with a total of 336 observations. The data analysis technique was conducted by using panel data regression. This study results indicate that intellectual capital performance has positive and significant effect on the company's financial performance for the current year. However, it does not significantly affect the company's financial performance in the following year. This study contributes to the accounting literature development, especially the important role of intellectual capital in improving financial performance of company.

This study aims to analyze the Level of Financial Soundness on Financial Performance in Cement Companies that are Go Public Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). Analysis of the level of financial health using the Altman Z-Score with several ratios, namely the ratio of Working Capital to Total Assets (X1), the ratio of retained earnings to total assets (X2), the ratio of EBIT to Total Assets (X3), the ratio of stock market value to book value ofabilities (X4), the ratio of Sales to Total Assets (X5) to the dependent variable on Financial Performance (Return on Assets). The data analysis technique used in this research is the Altman Z-Score with the criteria for bankruptcy and to find its effect with the panel data regression model assisted by E-Views software. The results of the calculation and analysis of the Z-Score criteria in cement companies in Indonesia, it is known that there is no cement company whose company finances are stated in a healthy condition. One company is prone to bankruptcy (gray zone) while the rest according to the Z-Score criteria are bankrupt. Furthermore, based on the panel data regression examiner simultaneously the five independent variables on financial performance (Y), while partially the working capital ratio to total assets (X1) affects financial performance (Y), the retained earnings ratio to total assets (X2) has no effect on Financial performance (Y), EBIT ratio to total assets (X3) affects financial performance (Y), stock market value ratio to book value of liabilities (X4) has no effect on financial performance (Y), Sales to Total Assets ratio (X5) affect financial performance.

The Purpose of this study was to determine the effect of company age, leverage, and independent commissioners on intellectual capital in food and beverage sub-sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). The research time period used is 3 years, namely the 2016-2018 period. The population of this study includes all food and beverage sub-sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the 2016-2018 period. The sampling technique was using purposive sampling technique. Based on the predetermined criteria, 17 companies were obtained. The type of data used is secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange website. The analysis method used is panel data regression analysis. The results showed that Leverage and Independent Commissioner had no influence on Intellectual Capital. However, the variable company age has an influence on intellectual capital.

Global economic’s uncertainty that occurs cause a predictions of an economic crisis that may happen anytime. This prediction becomes the basis for corporates to anticipate, which one of them by increasing corporate cash holding. The amount of cash holding can be determined with earnings management, especially in this global economic uncertainty. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of earnings management on cash holding with financial constraint as moderating variables. The samples of this study are collected by purposive sampling and resulted 363 companies as the final sample from manufaturing companies listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018. Data were analyzed by using panel data regression. The result shows that earning management has positive and significant effect on cash holding. In addition, financial constraint is also proven to moderate by strengthening the effect of earning management towards cash holding

Intellectual capital (IC) has gained recognition in enhancing the firms' value and gain a competitive advantage in the developed world. The present study examines the impact of IC on firms' financial performance. The study takes 48 companies for the time period of 10 years (2009-2018). The paper has used modified Pulic's value added intellectual coefficient (VAIC) as a proxy to measure IC and return on assets (ROA) to measure firms' financial performance. Granger causality between all the components of IC and ROA has been tested using Dumitrescu-Hurlin test. To analyse the impact, correlation and dynamic panel data regression technique has been applied. The result indicates that overall intellectual capital, human capital, relational capital, process capital, and financial capital have a significant impact on financial performance. On the other hand, innovation capital has no significant relationship with firms' financial performance. The results are helpful for managers, policymakers, government, and investors so that they can properly manage and regulate the IC of their organization.

The purpose of the study was to determine and analyze the effect of Firm Size, Firm Growth, Firm Age and Independent Commissioner on Intellectual Capital Disclousure partially and simultaneously to determine a model that can be used to measure Intellectual Capital Disclousure in companies by using panel data regression in Registered Banking companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study applies quantitative method and the object of this research is done by population and sample randomly (purposive sampling), which are 11 consumer goods companies that were Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2014 - 2018. The technique of collecting data used annual financial statements from the period 2014 - 2018 and analysis used panel data regression method with common model approach using Eviews 9 program.The results of this study showed that simultaneously and partially variables Firm Size, Firm Growth, Firm Age and Independent Commissioner have a significant effect on Intellectual Capital Disclousure

The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of institutional ownership (KI), intellectual capital (IC) and Leverage (DER) to financial distress (Springate) financial distress condition. Independent variables in this study are institutional ownership (KI), intellectual capital (IC) and Leverage (DER) and financial distress (Springate) partially or simultaneously. Population in this study is Manufacture companies’s sector listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2017. The sampling technique was using purposive sampling, obtained 128 sample data and use Panel data regression analysis using software Eviews 10. Random effect model was chosen after 3 regression panel test. Simultaneously, all the independet variables have significant effect to dependent variable (financial distress). Partially intellectual capital (IC) have negative significant effect with to financial distress. Leverage (DER) have positive significant effect to financial distress.
