The adolescent problems discussed in individual counselling sessions vary widely. The approach the counsellor uses has an effect on the way the problem is solved and the follow-up determines the recurrence of the same problem. The use of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy focuses on aspects of irrational thinking as the root of individual problems. This article examines the case of a teenager and then determines the existing irrational thought patterns. This study uses a qualitative case study method by analyzing the counselling process. This study concluded that adolescents with emotional maturity tend to be potentially irrational by "demanding" and "awfulizing". This article recommends that educators outside of school and at school improve the rational thinking skills of adolescents through various awareness education.

Advancement in the innovation world, robotics and artificial intelligence as well as heavily globally-connected world among others has led to the impetus of Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0). Hence, work opportunities that exist today might not be available in the future as there is a huge possibility that they might be taken over by machines. This could result in job scarcity. Therefore, the challenge now is to prepare our students with the necessary skills to stay relevant and needed in the job market of the future. The ability to think on the higher level is amplified with IR 4.0. So, it is only wise to teach, train and prepare the students with this skill now. This paper shares the findings of a larger study on how the Critical Thinking Module  (CTM) is able to assist higher order thinking (HOTs) among the students in Literature Classes. This research employs case study method and the subjects were selected using purposive sampling. The CTM focuses on the students’ ability to analyse, synthesise and evaluate. The activities included in CTM are everyday activities that will be able to be carried out in an hour and ten minutes period.  All of the activities are student-centered and highlight on the importance of group work whereby discussion, collaboration and cooperation are vital. Data were gathered through test scripts and class observation. The participants were 9 students from a cluster school in Ipoh. They were observed for 18 weeks and the result of the study revealed that the students were better at HOTs verbally compared to written. The case study suggests the CTM is capable of aiding the students to think on the higher level.

This study aims to look at educators' strategies, ideally in distance learning (online), because when the Covid-19 pandemic appears everything has changed, educators make new strategies in fostering critical thinking in early childhood during a pandemic that hits the whole world, or which is called Covid-19. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach in the form of a case study method to gain knowledge about educators' strategies in developing critical thinking skills in early childhood. Subject selection. Data collection was carried out by using an interactive model with data analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The results showed that first, during the Covid-19 pandemic children studied at home using distance learning (online); second, there is a strategy from early childhood educators in developing critical thinking skills as long as children learn via long distance (online), that is, children are invited to continue playing while learning even at home, providing an understanding that children are required to wear masks when outside the home, children must use hands sanitizer or washing hands while playing and after playing, explaining to children why they cannot play activities outside home.

In the development of learning, it is very important to consider the characteristics of students to choose the appropriate approach in the learning activities. Teaching staff as the organizer of learning activities are required to seek the interaction of learners with other components of the learning system optimally. This research reveals about the efforts to improve student learning outcomes in the course by applying case study method strategy. The selection and application of learning strategy of the case method in learning course and learning Evaluation is conducted in accordance with the characteristics of the Learning Evaluation course itself which requires thinking skills and interaction skills from the students to understand the materials contained therein. The method used in this research is classroom action research. The results showed that the implementation of case study method strategy can improve learning outcomes in the course of Evaluation of Learning. This is evident from the increasing percentage of students in the eight aspects observed from both cycles carried out in the action of this study. This fact is supported by the result of t test statistic test where obtained tct = 7,17 while ttable price = 1,682 so it can be interpreted that applying of case study method strategy can improve learning result of learning course lesson.

This research-based on the findings that elementary school students already have mathematical critical thinking skills but have not reached the whole stage of the skills. Critical thinking skills of mathematics is essential for students because critical mathematical thinking can solve the problems and as a consideration to make decisions. This research aims to: (1) explore the critical thinking skills of mathematics of the subject of the volume of cubes and beams; (2) to determine student's difficulties in solving mathematical critical thinking skills test questions on the subject of the volume of cubes and beams. The research used a case study method of 28 students in one of the Islamic elementary schools in Bandung Regency. The data collected in the form of qualitative data obtained through tests of mathematical critical thinking skills, interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis techniques used thematic analysis by analyzing students' learning trajectory. The results showed that most students were still in the low category in the ability of critical thinking. As for the difficulties experienced by students, namely in providing simple explanations and working on problems that are not systematic. For this reason, the improving of students' mathematical critical thinking skills need further research.

Limerence is an underresearched condition of unknown prevalence that causes significant loss of productivity and emotional distress to sufferers. Individuals with limerence display an obsessive attachment to a particular person or “limerent object” (LO) that interferes with daily functioning and the formation and maintenance of healthy relationships. The current study proposes a conceptualization of the condition in a 28-year-old individual and describes a treatment approach using cognitive-behavioral techniques, most notably exposure responsive prevention as used in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder. The number and type of compulsive rituals performed by the treated individual were notably decreased at 9-month follow-up after treatment, and a subjective assessment of dysfunctional thought patterns related to the LO also suggested improvement. A novel screening instrument is presented, as validated screening instruments do not yet exist. Implications for diagnosis and treatment are discussed.

No doubt, across the world, advantages of critical thinking in education motivated educators focus on developing the critical thinking ability and traits among students more than ever before, yet ample evidence from literature has shown the lack of critical thinking skills among students at all level. The purpose of the study was to examine the effectiveness of two teaching strategies questioning and role playing the development of critical thinking attitude among elementary students. This article offers critical thinking as a prelude to developing attitude among students by using case study method and design based approach. Two groups each with 15 students were made using purposive and convenience sampling method. Evidence was collected in a usual classroom context in the form of pre and post questionnaire data. The focus was evaluated through the indirect evidence of its effects on students’ critical thinking attitude by using Paul's intellectual traits model. Findings suggest that critical thinking is a viable tool in influencing critical thinking attitudes of students in Pakistani context.

Abstract This study explores the collective settings of Hallenwohnen (hall dwelling) as a section of the Zollhaus settlement, which is the follow-up project by the Kalkbreite housing cooperative and has been in function since January 2021 in Zurich, Switzerland. Hallenwohnen is the first legal hall cohousing arrangement in Switzerland. The private and semiprivate spaces of Hallenwohnen consist of a large open hall with collective basic structures and mobile residential towers (roll spaces) as the core concept, which offer an affordable, self-managed/self-build, collaborative coliving and coworking arrangement in the center of Zurich. The qualitative case study method was applied through semistructured interviews with occupants of Hallenwohnen, direct observations, spatial investigations and document analyses. The results reveal that the innovative socio-spatial potentials of the intermediate spaces have been activated through the participatory intentions of the community. Living as one household in a collective arrangement and multiplicity usage of hybrid spaces have activated participation-capable housing spaces, while constraints and conflicts have mobilized the (re)negotiations and reinterpretations of collective housing spaces.
