Form in sound art is the crucial aspect for both analysis and per- ception. The theoretical basis includes, among others, the theory of ‘Pure Form’ devised by Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz and Susan Sontag’s theory of interpretation. Later in the text, issues of aesthetics and anti-aesthetic are mentioned. The research questions dealt with in this text were: What is the position of form in sound art and how is it related to content? What kinds of means of expression can be applied? The employed methods in- clude literary analysis and criticism as well as some elements of structural analysis. The examples analyzed in this article were broadcasts by Gregory Whitehead, Eugeniusz Rudnik, Tomasz Plata, and Antye Greie. The per- ception of the art can be disturbed by certain means of expression such as formal chaos or noise which is also considered in the text.

The constitutive relation of concrete under uniaxial compression is the essential theoretical basis for structural analysis of concrete. Because of lack of sufficient stiffness for ordinarily tester, stable falling branch of stress-strain curve cannot be obtained. The common methods to increase rigidity of loading system include direct and indirect method. The condition of realizing the stress-strain complete curve for concrete uniaxial compression is derived. A set of stiffness experimental equipment is designed by using the indirect method, which has the advantages of simple, dependable and strong adaptability. Experiment shows that stress-strain complete curve of uniaxial compression under different strain rate could be achieved by using this equipment and electro-hydraulic loading system of MTS co. ltd. It will lay foundation for putting forward the stress-strain curve equation of uniaxial tension and compression under considering the effect of strain rate. It can provide theoretical basis for structural analysis of concrete.

The research questions in this issue include the following: the first is the problem of usual meaning of neologisms. During the coronavirus pandemic there has been a flurry of new words and phrases in many languages. Such a linguistic phenomenon can be called an extreme peak in the appearance of new words and meanings. The second is the problem of assessment, the need for lexicographying such words in the explanatory dictionary, in particular, in the multivolume Dictionary of the Russian Language of the 21st century (ed. by G. N. Sklyarevskaya). General characteristics of the covid dictionary (more than 600 units), formed at the moment in Russian, are described in the article. The theoretical basis of the category of lexical neologisms is the N.Z. Kotelova’s theory, who founded an academic neographic school. She developed the principles of selecting neologisms in explanatory dictionaries and formulated specifics of those words. The article attempts to analyze covid lexemes and proposes a preliminary toolkit for selecting lexemes that can be considered as potentially usual. Almost 140 covid nominations, which make up about 23 % of the collected corpus of COVID vocabulary, have high potentiality for new words'usualisation. Research methods in this issue are: systemic, classification, statistical, deductive, inductive.

The structural characteristics and requirements of a bucket, combined with the working experience of an excavator, were analyzed to optimize the structure of a WK-20 bucket. The simulation model was defined by the discrete element method (DEM) to characterize the real interaction between the bucket and different materials. Through an analysis and comparison of the performance of the original and optimized buckets, the latter increased the filling coefficient for different materials. The simulation and optimization based on DEM offered the theoretical basis and a reliable method for the reasonable design of the bucket structure and the entire machine.

The constitutive relation of concrete under uniaxial tension and compression is an essential theoretical basis for structural analysis of concrete. Because of the lack of sufficient stiffness for ordinary test device, a stable decline branch of stress-strain curve could not be obtained. The condition of realizing the stress-strain complete curve for concrete uniaxial tension and compression is derived. The experiment device for uniaxial tension and compression was designed and fabricated with increasing stiffness method. Experiments were carried out for concrete with grade C30~C60 and strain rate 10-5/s~10-2/s. The equation for stress-strain curve in the rising branch were obtained and so were the complete stress-strain curve of uniaxial tension and compression under different strain ratio, which provide the theoretical basis for concrete structural analysis.

A theoretical basis is given based upon a Lagrange formulation in which the strength of ships may be analysed for antisymmetric distortions caused by waves. This present study relates to conventional, ‘box-like’, vessels such as tankers. It is shown that analysis of antisymmetric motions in a seaway is merely a special case of the structural analysis.

Abstract The aim of this paper is to present the possibilities of applying data mining techniques to the problem of analysis of structural relationships in the system of stationary random processes. In this paper, we will approach the area of the random processes, present the process of structural analysis and select suitable circuit data mining methods applicable to the area of structural analysis. We will propose the methodology for the structural analysis in the system of stationary stochastic processes using data mining methods for active experimental approach, based on the theoretical basis.

Mary is a very important figure in the Qur'an, in which she is mentioned by name 34 times. In addition to passing references, such as in Q. 23:50 and Q. 66:12, two important Qur'anic pericopes are devoted to her: Q. 3:33–50 and Q. 19:16–36. Over and above this, Sura 19 is named after her. Much has been written about this sura, with recent scholarship giving particular attention to its structure. Identifying the structure within the sura is of course important, especially in view of the way the material is presented in the muṣḥaf, which sets out the entire sura in continuous text, without any divisions or paragraphs apart from the markers at the end of each verse. Structural analysis can be useful in terms of identifying main subject topics of a given sura, but there is a danger that overreliance on structural analysis can focus too heavily on form, thereby overlooking the message and purpose that runs throughout each sura. Form and literary analysis are important but only insofar as they indicate topics and meanings and show the purpose of the entire sura. In this article, I seek to undertake a structural analysis of Sūrat Maryam which identifies a different structure from those outlined by previous scholars. This structural analysis is based in, and led by, the study of the theme and purpose of this sura, which I maintain is to provide comfort and reassurance for the Prophet Muḥammad.

This chapter demonstrates that the Kelsen–Merkl Stufenbau theory of the hierarchy of norms avoids many of the misconceptions of orthodox scholarship. This theory is the closest there is to a legal common-sense theory of the sources of international law. It is close to the mainstream, but provides a solid theoretical basis. False necessities are here deconstructed: the sources are neither a priori nor external to the law. Applying the Stufenbau theory to international law, the chapter concludes by sketching out the possibilities of ordering the sources of international law. A structural analysis of the international legal order clears the way for level-headed research on this legal order’s daily operations: norm-conflict and its application and interpretation.

Brushes-type blanket washer’s function is rubbing a high speed spinning brush roller against blanket roller, so as to clean the paper-lints and ink which adhere to the surface of blanket cylinder. It is very important to do a research into the dynamic structural analysis of the washer which determines the stability of this equipment. With the gyroscopic effect dynamic analysis of brush blanket, we get the relation curve between central offset of the washer and the load of permanent joint. The result show that a minute alteration of the central offset causes effect change of the load. This result provides a theoretical basis to control the effect change and then improve the stability and decrease the cost.

This paper describes the significance of exploiting and developing renewable energy under the current circumstance of fossil energy shortage. The paper introduces the working principle and the overall structure of the circular mold briquetting machine. In the transmission and feeding mechanism, the “one shaft” structure is used. The “Double-roller” is symmetrically arranged in the compression chamber, and the combination circular mold is adopted. It is shown in the structural analysis that the briquetting machine is of simple structure, high work efficiency, and low cost. Moreover, it can be conveniently repaired and replaced. The structural analysis provides significant theoretical basis for the optimal design of the briquetting machine.
