Human resources of the region are one of the major factors of its innovative development under conditions of economy transition to the digital type as even the most perfect technologies re-quire maintenance and state control and technologies are created by, first of all, people. Research of human capital, its state and development prospects are one of the first formation stages of co-ordinated regional investment-innovative system.

The research is aimed at defining trends in the innovative development of international and domestic business systems and forming on their basis the principles of development management. When analyzing trends in the innovative development of international and domestic business systems, the main indicators of innovativeness are considered through integral indices characterizing the innovative development of countries; the geographical and sectoral structures of innovators and leading innovative companies of the world and Ukraine are determined; a comparison of the ratings of innovative world companies as presented by Boston Consulting, Clarivate Analytics, Fast Company, Delo.ua and Vlada Hroshey is carried out. As a result of the study, it is determined that the positive dynamics of business systems development can be observed in the activities of companies that constantly carry out scientific research, conduct developments, introduce various innovations, receive patents, etc. It is substantiated that the innovative development of international and domestic innovative business systems ensures the competitive advantages of companies in both the international and the domestic markets, facilitates the development of the economy of both the country and its regions, promotes the social development of business systems. Researching the trends in the innovative development of business systems in the global environment allowed to form the principles of managing their development. Prospects for further research in this direction are the development of methodological provision for the evaluation of innovative development of business systems and the formation of a mechanism for managing their development in the global business environment.

Because Zr is used in the nuclear industry to sheath fuel and as structural component material within the reactor core, it is important to understand Zr's point defect properties. In the present work point defect-impurity interaction has been assessed by measuring the influence of grain boundaries on the width of the zone denuded of dislocation loops in a series of irradiated Zr alloys. Electropolished Zr and its alloys have been irradiated using an AEI EM7 HVEM at 1 MeV, ∼675 K and ∼10-6 torr vacuum pressure. During some HVEM irradiations it has been seen that there is a difference in the loop nucleation and growth behaviour adjacent to the grain boundary as compared with the mid-grain region. The width of the region influenced by the presence of the grain boundary should be a function of the irradiation temperature, dose rate, solute concentration and crystallographic orientation.

Uranium mining often escapes the attention of debates around the nuclear industries. The chemical elements’ representations are focused on the nuclear reactor. The article explores what I refer to as becoming the nuclear front – the uranium mining frontier’s expansion to Tanzania, its historical entanglements and current state. The geographies of the nuclear industries parallel dominant patterns and the unevenness of the global divisions of labour, resource production and consumption. Clearly related to the developments and expectations in the field of atomic power production, uranium exploration and the gathering of geological knowledge on resource potentiality remains a peripheral realm of the technopolitical perceptions of the nuclear fuel chain. Seen as less spectacular and less associated with high-technology than the better-known elements of the nuclear industry the article thus aims to shine light on the processes that pre-figure uranium mining by looking at the example of Tanzania.

The approach to creating standard means for reproducing units of volumetric activity of radon and thoron and flux density of radon from the soil surface is described based on the physical principles of reproducing these units of quantities and using as technical means for reproducing bubblers with a radioactive solution of radium salt, reference capacities of known volume, emanation chambers for generation of a toron, a gamma spectrometer with a semiconductor detector from highly pure germanium and radon radiometers. Reproduction consists in the physical realization of units in accordance with their definition as applied to the formation of radon and thoron in the radioactive rows of radium and thorium. The proposed approach will allow to determine the structural, structural and other technical solutions of standard measuring instruments, as well as specific techniques and methods of working with them. The creation of standard tools and technologies for reproducing units of volumetric activity of radon and thoron and the density of radon flux from the soil surface will ensure the unity and reliability of measurements in the field of ionizing radiation, traceability of units and bringing the characteristics of national standards in line with world achievements.
