This study were preformed for verifying the applicability of Assessment Center(AC) for selection of university student. First, the results of decision study of generalizability theory(D study) has shown acceptable reliabilities. So, we could think that this AC was designed properly. Second, the enrolled students of the university have said that the competencies rated in this AC were important for performing study and adapting to school. And participants in this AC reported they have felt fairness and they could have done their best. It means that this AC had validity. Third, generalizability study(G study) has shown dimension effect(21.1%) was higher than rator effect(10.2%). And, in the MTMM analysis, it were found both dimension effect and exercise effect. Forth, in relation analysis between AC ratings and the various records of participants, ‘Self-led Study’ related with ‘Records of Language’ positively, ‘Discussion Skill’ related with ‘Public Anxiety’ negatively, ‘Challenge’ related with ‘Extraversion, Self Efficacy, and Record of Award off campus’ positively and with ‘Anxiety to unfamiliar’ negatively, ‘Creativity’ related with ‘Extraversion’ positively, ‘Adapting to Change’ related with ‘Emotional Stability’ positively, and ‘Interpersonal Competencies’ related with ‘Performance Anxiety and Public Anxiety’ negatively. In short, this AC has shown applicability as selection tool for university student. Finally, the implications and limitations were discussed.

This new book contains new translations of a selection of poems by the modern magyar poet Radnóti Miklós, a 1935 graduate of the University of Szeged. Born in Budapest in 1909, Radnóti began publishing his poems and translations while still a university student. By the late 1930’s, he had established himself as a major new voice in magyar poetry. His life ended in 1944 not far from the village of Abda, where, a short distance from the banks of the Rába, he was slain by his captors near the end of a forced march that had begun in the mountains of Serbia months before. Many of the poems included here were composed during his captivity in the labor camp whose name appears at the end of several eclogues and other poems.

The aim of the study was to design a theoretical approach to the existing techno-ontological logical emotions of university mathematics teachers working in universities in Ecuador. The research was qualitative. For the selection of the sample, a random selection was carried out under the criterion of intentionality. Twenty (20) students and eight (8) mathematics teachers from different universities participated. For data collection, we used a participatory digital observation guide and an open-ended interview. Three categories emerged from the results: the andragogic retrotopia of being a mathematician, the emotional scar in teacher training and the educational perception of the university student. We conclude with a theoretical approach in which the deficit of professional digital training in mathematical sciences allows the emotional logic of the Ecuadorian teacher to drive him/her to portray an academic being that generates hatred and rejection in the university educational community.

Classical test theory (CTT) has been widely used to estimate the reliability of measurements. Generalizability theory (G theory), an extension of CTT, is a powerful statistical procedure, particularly useful for performance testing, because it enables estimating the percentages of persons variance and multiple sources of error variance. This study focuses on a generalizability study (G study) conducted to investigate such variance components for a paper-pencil multiple-choice vocabulary test used as a diagnostic pretest. Further, a decision study (D study) was conducted to compute the generalizability coefficient (G coefficient) for absolute decisions. The results of the G and D studies indicated that 46% of the total variance was due to the items effect; further, the G coefficient for absolute decisions was low. 古典的テスト理論は尺度の信頼性を測定するため広く用いられている。古典的テスト理論の応用である一般化可能性理論(G理論)は特にパフォーマンステストにおいて有効な分析手法であり、受験者と誤差の要因となる分散成分の割合を測定することができる。本研究では診断テストとして用いられた多岐選択式語彙テストの分散成分を測定するため一般化可能性研究(G研究)を行った。さらに、決定研究(D研究)では絶対評価に用いる一般化可能性係数を算出した。G研究とD研究の結果、項目の分散成分が全体の分散の46%を占め、また信頼度指数は高くなかった。

This article gives insight in a running dissertation at the University in Potsdam. Point of discussion is the spatial and temporal distribution of emergencies of German fire brigades that have not sufficiently been scientifically examined. The challenge is seen in Big Data: enormous amounts of data that exist now (or can be collected in the future) and whose variables are linked to one another. These analyses and visualizations can form a basis for strategic, operational and tactical planning, as well as prevention measures. The user-centered (geo-) visualization of fire brigade data accessible to the general public is a scientific contribution to the research topic 'geovisual analytics and geographical profiling'. It may supplement antiquated methods such as the so-called pinmaps as well as the areas of engagement that are freehand constructions in GIS. Considering police work, there are already numerous scientific projects, publications, and software solutions designed to meet the specific requirements of Crime Analysis and Crime Mapping. By adapting and extending these methods and techniques, civil security research can be tailored to the needs of fire departments. In this paper, a selection of appropriate visualization methods will be presented and discussed.

AbstractThis paper examines the multilingual translation efforts of a group of university student volunteers during the COVID-19 outbreak in Shanghai. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews of the volunteer team leader, team members, and a local community health worker. Findings identified time constraints, limited language proficiency, and limited technical knowledge as the major challenges confronting the university volunteers. In order to overcome the challenges, they worked in close collaboration and used translingual and network strategies to facilitate prompt and high-quality crisis translation. Findings suggest that foreign language university students in local universities may serve as readily available multilingual resources and can be mobilized in prompt response to the grassroots multilingual needs of the local community in times of crisis. The paper ends with implications for measures and strategies to enhance effective emergency language service and crisis communication for global multilingual cities.

AbstractThis thematic issue of Itinerario brings together a selection of papers presented at the international conference Beyond the Islamicate Chancery: Archives, Paperwork, and Textual Encounters across Eurasia, which was held at the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna in early October 2018. The conference was the third instalment in a series of collaborations between the Institute of Iranian Studies at the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the University of Pittsburgh examining Islamicate cultures of documentation from different angles. Surviving precolonial and colonial chancery archives across Eurasia provide an unparalleled glimpse into the inner workings of connectivity across writing cultures and, especially, documentary practices. This particular meeting has attempted to situate what has traditionally been a highly technical discipline in a broader historical dialogue on the relationship between state power, the archive, and cultural encounters.
