The province of West Kalimantan is known as a province inhabited by Dayak etnhnic. However, it cannot be denied that Malay also became the ethnic group dominated the province. The existence of Malay also  brings new religion to Dayak, namely Islam. The conversion of the Dayak religion into a Muslim certainly has cultural consequences. Dayak customs that are in part contrary to Islamic teachings must certainly be abandoned. Going down to Malays is the choice of Dayaks when they embrace Islam. Religious conversion is also followed by the conversion of culture, thus forming a new cultural community that is different from the Dayak and at the same time different from the Malays.

Based on the theory of paradox cognition, a relationship model among paradox cognition, industrial green production, and enterprise performance has been constructed, which mainly focuses on a study on whether the paradox cognition can have positive influences on the green production behavior of industrial enterprises, and then further promote the improvement of enterprises’ economic benefits. The author wrote this thesis on the basis of results obtained from 305 sample surveys and verified the direct and indirect influence relationships among variables in the model with structural equation path coefficient and mediation effect. The empirical results show that: firstly, paradox cognition has a positive and significant impact on the industrial green production behavior. The higher the level of paradox cognition, the more likely the enterprises are to implement the industrial green production behavior. Secondly, paradox cognition can improve the potential performance of enterprises by affecting "green product provision", "green production management", and "green production technology", and then indirectly improve the financial performance of enterprises.

Sudrajat J, Sawerah S, Permatasari N, Suharyani A, Karmoni A, Anshari GZ, Wardhana D, Rossanda D. 2018. People’s viewstowards Gunung Palung National Park, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. Biodiversitas 19: 1138-1146. It is a common belief that themanagement of national park prevents local communities from accessing the park and using the park resources. Illegal logging and otherunwanted encroachments to the park become a big problem, as national park authority has a limited capacity to monitor the whole park. This research aimed to study how local communities viewed Gunung Palung National Park, which is located in Ketapang and KayongUtara District, West Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. A total of 91 respondents from seven villages were interviewed. In general, about70% of respondents viewed the importance of economic benefits, resulting from limited access to traditional gardens in the use zone ofthe park and the supply of clean water. Approximately 67% of these respondents viewed the protection of natural resources in the parkwas not important. This view was possibly due to their little knowledge of the park management and the use of zoning system in thepark. It was reported that park officers have some activities, but the collaboration and relationship between park officers and localcommunities need more time to mature. It seems that the poor and the youth tend to exploit more and put higher pressures on the parkthan the elderly groups.
