AbstractBased on investigation of existing folding wheelchairs’ usage, this paper analyzed wheelchair size and material in human-machine system model. The importance of new environmentally friendly materials’ application on wheelchair component producing in recent years was also explained. On the basis of strength and stiffness theory and calculation, applied materials were determined and rod mechanical calculation were carried out. The calculated results will have certain theoretical significance for wheelchair research and design.

This paper studies the old offset machine mathematical model, corrects the shortcomings of its mathematical model and presents a more effective, more reasonable mathematical models. Then the conceptual designs, system design, structure design of the model are carried out. After nearly 2 years operating, the deviation adjusting mechanism has been proved to possess a good practicability and adjusting deviation.

The search for sustainability has led to the utilization of more ecological materials with at least, a similar structural performance to those used at present. In this regard, reed fits the environmental and structural requirements as it is a sustainable and biodegradable lignin-cellulose material with remarkable mechanical properties. This research confirms the reed’s structural efficiency as it demonstrates that it has excellent strength and stiffness in relation to its density. The reed anisotropy has a large impact on its properties. Indeed, the strength and stiffness parallel to the fibers are clearly higher than in the perpendicular direction. The results confirm that strength and stiffness decrease with the moisture content and nodes act as reinforcement in compression and bending. If compared with steel, timber and concrete, the reed possesses the highest value for strength. Hence, reed constitutes a strong candidate for environmentally friendly engineering.

Three-tank liquid level system is a more typical non-linear and delay object with strong representation and background of industry. The part or whole of many objects can be abstracted into a mathematical model of three-tank liquid level system. Research on modeling and control of the system has important theoretical significance and practical value. This article describes how to use Simulink function to establish the mechanism of three-tank liquid level system model. And at the time, an improved PID control algorithm is proposed. The results show that it has more superior performance for three-tank liquid level system simulation control compared with the traditional PID control algorithm.
