AbstractThe exact solutions of the Einstein field equations for dark energy in Kantowski-Sachs metric under the assumption on the anisotropy of the fluid are obtained for exponential and power-law volumetric expansions. The isotropy of the fluid, space and expansion are examined.

The exact solutions of the Einstein field equations for dark energy in Kaluza–Klein metric under the assumption on the anisotropy of the fluid are obtained by applying the law of variation of Hubble parameter which yields the constant value of deceleration parameter. The isotropy of the fluid, space and expansion are examined.

This paper deals with the construction of locally rotationally symmetric (LRS) Bianchi type-II (B-II) cosmological models obtained by solving Einstein field equations coupled with an attractive massive scalar field (MSF) when the source of gravitation is the mixture of cosmic string cloud and anisotropic dark energy (DE) fluid which are minimally interacting. We have obtained exact cosmological models by using (i) shear scalar is proportional to the scalar expansion of the space–time and (ii) a power-law relation between the average scale factor of the universe and the scalar field. Our models represent string cosmological model and DE model in the presence of MSF. Using our model, we determine cosmological parameters such as energy densities, deceleration parameter, statefinders and equation of state parameter. We, also, present the tension density and energy density of the string. We discuss the physical aspects of these cosmological parameters. It is observed that our models represent accelerated expansion phenomenon of our universe as confirmed by Supernova Ia experiment.

Spatially homogeneous and anisotropic Bianchi type VI0cosmological models with cosmological constant are investigated in the presence of anisotropic dark energy. We examine the effects of electromagnetic field on the dynamics of the universe and anisotropic behavior of dark energy. The law of variation of the mean Hubble parameter is used to find exact solutions of the Einstein field equations. We find that electromagnetic field promotes anisotropic behavior of dark energy which becomes isotropic for future evolution. It is concluded that the isotropic behavior of the universe model is seen even in the presence of electromagnetic field and anisotropic fluid.

Exact solutions to the Einstein field equations with cosmic string and a space-varying cosmological constant, viz. Λ = Λ(r), in the energy–momentum tensors are presented. Three cases have been studied: the variable cosmological constant (1) has power law dependence, (2) is proportional to the string fluid density, and (3) is purely a constant. Some cases of interesting physical consequences have been found where (i) the variable cosmological constant can be represented by a power law of the type Λ = 3r-2, (ii) the variable cosmological constant and the cosmic string density are interdependent according to the relation Λ = -8πρs, and (iii) the cosmic string density can be scaled by a power law of the type ρs= r-2. It is also shown that several known solutions can be recovered from the general form of the solutions obtained here.

Anisotropic dark energy cosmological models have been constructed in a Bianchi V space-time, with the energy momentum tensor consisting of two noninteracting fluids, namely, bulk viscous fluid and dark energy fluid. Two different models are constructed based on the power law cosmology and de Sitter universe. The constructed model was also embedded with different pressure gradients along different spatial directions. The variable equation of state (EoS) parameter and skewness parameters for both models are obtained and analysed. The physical properties of the models obtained with the use of scale factors of power law and de Sitter law are also presented.

Exact solutions to the Einstein field equations may be generated from already existing ones (seed solutions), that admit at least one Killing vector. In this framework, a space of potentials is introduced. By the use of symmetries in this space, the set of potentials associated to a known solution is transformed into a new set, either by continuous transformations or by discrete transformations. In view of this method, and upon consideration of continuous transformations, we arrive at some exact, stationary axisymmetric solutions to the Einstein field equations in vacuum, that may be of geometrical or/and physical interest.

Exact solutions of Einstein field equations invariant for a non-Abelian bidimensional Lie algebra of Killing fields are described. Physical properties of these gravitational fields are studied, their wave character is checked by making use of covariant criteria and the observable effects of such waves are outlined. The possibility of detection of these waves with modern detectors, spherical resonant antennas in particular, is sketched.

The objective of this work is to explore a new parametric class of exact solutions of the Einstein field equations coupled with the Karmarkar condition. Assuming a new metric potential [Formula: see text] with parameter (n), we find a parametric class of solutions which is physically well-behaved and represents compact stellar model of the neutron star in Vela X-1. A detailed study specifically shows that the model actually corresponds to the neutron star in Vela X-1 in terms of the mass and radius. In this connection, we investigate several physical properties like the variation of pressure, density, pressure–density ratio, adiabatic sound speeds, adiabatic index, energy conditions, stability, anisotropic nature and surface redshift through graphical plots and mathematical calculations. All the features from these studies are in excellent conformity with the already available evidences in theory. Further, we study the variation of physical properties of the neutron star in Vela X-1 with the parameter (n).

This work deals with dynamical system analysis of Holographic Dark Energy (HDE) cosmological model with different infra-red (IR)-cutoff. By suitable transformation of variables, the Einstein field equations are converted to an autonomous system. The critical points are determined and the stability of the equilibrium points are examined by Center Manifold Theory and Lyapunov function method. Possible bifurcation scenarios have also been explained.
