This study aims to examined the effect of board size on firm value by using earnings management as an intervening variable. Data were collected from 150 manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2012 – 2015. 84 samples were selected using stratified random sampling method. Data analysis techniques used in this study was the path anlysis. Based on empirical test results can be concluded that board size, board of directors, board of independent commissioner, and board of non independent commissioner has positive effect on firm value. Variable of board size and board of directors has positive effect on earnings management. Meanwhile, board of independent commissioner and board of non independent commissioner has negative effect on earnings management. Variable earnings management negatively affect firm value and the mediation test results show that earnings management is not able to mediate the association between board size with the firm value.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of earnings management with income increasing and income decreasing patterns on firm value in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2018. The population of this research are 167 companies. A total of 105 samples are selected using a purposive sampling technique. Total observations over the 5 years to 525 observations, then divided into two groups, 472 observations for increasing income management and 53 observations for decreasing earnings management. This study uses a simple linear regression analysis technique. The test results show that income increasing earnings management variable does not affect the value of the company, while earnings decreasing earnings management has a negative effect on firm value.   The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of firm size, sales growth, asset structure, and profitability on firm value with capital structure as an intervening variable. The population are all companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. While the sample in this study were all manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange Period 2012 - 2017. Sampling using purposive sampling and data analysis methods using multiple linear regression and path analysis. The results of this study are firm size and asset structure have a positive effect on capital structure. Sales growth and profitability have a negative effect on capital structure. Capital structure, sales growth, and asset structure have a negative effect on firm value. Firm size has a positive effect on company value. Capital structure cannot mediate the influence of firm size and profitability on firm value. Capital structure can mediate the effect of sales growth and asset structure on firm value.

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of leverage, size of company, audit quality and accounting result simultaneously or partially to the audit report lag. The type of this research is descriptive verificative. The number of manufacturing companies in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) over the period of 2011-2015 are 143 companies, then obtained a sample of 110 by purposive sampling. Analysis of data is carried out using multiple regression method. The results showed variable leverage, size company, audit quality and accounting result can explain audit report lag 33.3%. Partial test results showed that leverage did not significantly affect, size company and accounting result have a significant negative effect and audit quality have a significant positive effect on audit report lag.

This research objectives is determine whether the audit committee's expertise and the numbers of independent commissioners affect the quality of earnings through earnings management as an intervening variable. Earnings management model using the Modified Jones and earnings quality variables use accrual quality indicators. The study’s population are manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2014-2018. The sample of this study selected using purposive sampling method. The results of this study indicate that audit committee expertise has an insignificant negative effect on earnings management and earnings quality, the number of independent commissioners has a significant negative effect on earnings management and has a positive effect on earnings quality. While earnings management has an insignificant positive effect on earnings quality. Therefore, earnings management does not mediate the impact between audit committee expertise and number of independent commissioners on earnings quality as intervening variables.

This research aims to analyze the effects of profitability (ROA), liquidity (CR), assets growth, and firm size towards capital structure (DER) and the impact on firm value (PBV).This research uses secondary data from yearly financial statement of food and baverages companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange for period 2013-2017. The research design uses descriptive quantitative research and causality. Sampling method uses purposive sampling method, with some predetermined criteria, the number of sample is 17 manufacturing companies. The analysis technique used is panel data regression. The research results shows that the profitability (ROA) and firm size partially have negative effect and not significant on capital structure (DER). The liquidity (CR) and assets growth partially have negative effect and significantly on capital structure (DER). Then the capital structure (DER) partially have positive effect but not significantly influences the firm value (PBV). The profitability (ROA) partially have positive effect and significant on firm value (PBV). The liquidity (CR) and assets growth partially have negative and significant effect on firm value (PBV), and firm size partially have negative and not significant effect on firm value (PBV). Simultaneously profitability (ROA), liquidity (CR), assets growth and firm size effect on capital structure (DER). On the other side, simultaneously profitability (ROA), liquidity (CR), assets growth and firm size have effect on firm value (PBV).

This study aims to test and analyze the impact of accrual earnings management and real earnings management on firm value empirically. Also, audit quality's role on the effect of accrual earnings management and total earnings management on firm value. The analytical method used is Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). This research's population is manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2013 to 2017. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. This study found that accrual earnings management, which is proxied by discretionary accruals, positively affects firm value. Real earnings management has a negative effect on firm value. Audit quality cannot weaken the effect of accrual earnings management on firm value. However, audit quality weakens the effect of real earnings management on firm value.

This study aims to analyze the effect of corporate governance on the relationship between board involvement in politics and earnings management in manufacturing companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study used 63 manufacturing companies which were selected using purposive sampling method. The data analysis method used is multiple regression which is processed through the help of the SPSS program. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it was found that the board of commissioners involved in politics had a significant positive effect on earnings management. Meanwhile, the board of directors with political connections and corporate governance individually has a significant negative effect on earnings management. In the results of hypothesis testing, it is also found that the board of commissioners and the board of directors who have political connections have a significant effect on earnings management with corporate governance as a moderating variable in manufacturing companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The results of this study found that the implementation of corporate governance will have a different impact on the relationship between the board of commissioners and the board of directors on earnings management. In the relationship between the board of commissioners and earnings management, corporate governance is able to weaken earnings management activities. Meanwhile, in the relationship between the board of directors and earnings management, corporate governance can strengthen earnings management activities.

This study aimed to examine the effect of earnings, cash flow and corporate governance on financial distress. The corporate governance in this study using the indicator managerial ownership, institutional ownership and the board size.  The population in this of the manufacturing companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange at the period of 2011-2015. Based on the criteria purposive sampling method, samples obtained is 28 companies in period 2011-2015 so obtain 140 observations. This study used logistic regression analysis.  The result of this research showed that manajerial ownership has a positive effect and the board size have negative effect on the financial distress condition. This research failed to does not effect of the earnings, cash flow and institutional ownership of the financial distress condition.

This study aims to examine the effect of profitability mediation and capital structure on the effect of company growth on firm value. The study was conducted on manufacturing companies listing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2012-2017 with a total sample of 17 companies. The research data was analyzed using causal step regression analysis and product of coefficient models with the help of the SPSS version 19.00 application. The results of testing the hypothesis obtained by sales growth is not significant to the value of the company. Sales growth has a negative effect on profitability. Profitability has a significant positive effect on firm value. The company's growth has a significant positive effect on capital structure. Capital structure has a significant negative effect on firm value. Profitability does not mediate the influence of company growth on firm value. Capital structure is able to mediate the influence of company growth on firm value.

The main objective in this study is to determine whether earnings management, company age has a positive effect on tax avoidance and leverage has a negative effect on tax avoidance. The type of data used is secondary data. This study uses secondary data obtained from annual reports of manufacturing companies that have been on the Stock Exchange during 2014-2017. The sampling method used was puposive sampling. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 21. The results showed that earnings management had a positive effect on tax avoidance. While the company's age and leverage have no effect on tax avoidance.
