Purpose – Mobile applications, or apps, are an increasingly important part of omnichannel retailing. While the adoption and usage of apps for marketing purposes has grown exponentially over the past few years, there is little academic research in this area. The purpose of this paper is to examine how the mobile phone platform (Android vs Apple iOS), interest in the app and recency of store visit affect consumers’ likelihood to use the apps for purchasing and information-sharing activities. Design/methodology/approach – The paper tests a model by analysing survey data collected from customers of a major US retailer using partial least squares regression. Findings – The analysis finds that the level of interest in a retail app is positively related to the consumer's intention to engage in both purchasing and information-sharing activities. In addition, the recency of the consumer's last visit to the retail store has a moderating effect on both types of activities; the more recent the last visit, the larger the effect-size of interest in the app on intention to share information and make a purchase. Practical implications – While marketing and advertising managers may have suspected that Apple iOS users are more receptive to retail mobile apps, this study provides empirical support for the proposition. In addition, the moderating effect of recency of visit suggests that in-store promotions may be effective in increasing usage of the retailer's mobile apps. Originality/value – This study is among the first in the academic literature to examine predictors of mobile app usage for purchasing and information sharing. It fills a gap in the literature, while at the same time providing actionable information for practitioners.

Background: High number of complaints that have been filed about the performance of online taxi services has prompted research on customer satisfaction factor analysis. Substantial research has addressed customer satisfaction factors in online taxi services, but none of them investigated the satisfaction in using the mobile apps.Objective: This study aims to find out the level of customer satisfaction and customer satisfaction factors in the online taxi mobile app services.Methods: This study is quantitative in nature, using questionnaires and purposive sampling method. The Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Important-Performance Analysis (IPA) were used to determine the customer satisfaction factors, with the variables being route detection, connection, interaction, content, and service quality; as well as customer satisfaction, customer’s complaint, and customer loyalty. The data was processed using SPSS software.Results: The results showed that the level of customer satisfaction was 76.117% and fell into Cause of Concern category. This means that the system performance did not meet customer expectations. The results also showed that the best three factors in online taxi mobile apps are route detection, interaction, and content quality. Meanwhile, the factors that caused customer dissatisfaction were connection and service quality. The variables that led to satisfaction need to be maintained and the variables that did not were in Quadrant 1.Conclusion: The customer satisfaction was low so it is advisable that the companies immediately take an action to improve their performance and revise their strategic planning. In doing so, they must prioritize the attributes which have the biggest gap because these are the ones that will improve customer satisfaction.

Customer satisfaction is influenced by service quality factors, this study aims to find out and analyze how much influence the quality of service on customer satisfaction is felt by customers who use the service of Poor Rice (Raskin) at the Office of Public Companies Logistics Agency (Perum BULOG) in Sampit City Regency East Kotawaringin. The research method used in this study is the method of observation, questionnaire/questionnaire and documentation using a Likert scale and the method of determining the sample used is the error rate of 5% as many as 213 samples. Testing the hypothesis used is a statistical test with the formula "Product moment person". The results showed that there was a very strong correlation between Service Quality and Customer Satisfaction of the Office of Public Company of the Logistics Affairs Agency (Perum BULOG) in the District of East Kotawaringin. As much as 0.9968514278 based on the calculation of Pearson Product Moment value.

Budget 4G smart phones coupled with affordable plans, can very well drive 4G growth in India.

This study seeks to address the impact of service quality affecting international student's satisfaction towards loyalty tothe Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia(UTHM). The aim of thestudy is to develop relationship between service quality factor and loyalty to the university from the international students’ perspectives. The study adopted quantitative approach where data was collected through questionnaire survey and analysed statistically. A total of 246 responses were received and found to be valid. The model was developed and analysed using AMOS-SEM software. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) function of the software was to assessed the measurement models and found that all the models achieved goodness of fit. Then path analysis function was used to assessed structural model and found that service qualityfactors have a significant effect on the students’ satisfaction and thus affecting the loyaltyto the university. Hopefully the outcome form this study will benefit the university in providing services especially to the international students.
