This study was conducted with the aim of finding out whether there is an effect of social capital on the new venture creation with self-efficacy as a mediating variable. The subjects of this study were 40 students majoring in management at the Tarumanagara University Faculty of Economics and Business who have a private business with a business age under 5 years. The sampling method is done by purposive sampling method. This study uses data analysis with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach in the form of the Smart-PLS application version 3.0. The findings show that social capital does not significantly affect new venture creation. However, there is an indirect effect of social capital on new venture creation through self-efficacy as a mediating variable. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh modal sosial terhadap penciptaan usaha baru dengan efikasi diri sebagai variabel mediasi. Subyek penelitian ini adalah 40 mahasiswa jurusan manajemen Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Tarumanagara yang memiliki bisnis pribadi dengan usia bisnis dibawah 5 tahun. Metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data dengan pendekatan Partial Least Square (PLS) berupa aplikasi Smart-PLS versi 3.0. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa modal sosial tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap penciptaan usaha baru. Namun, terdapat pengaruh tidak langsung modal sosial terhadap penciptaan usaha baru lewat efikasi diri sebagai variabel mediasi.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship of social capital with new venture creation, and whether self-efficacy plays a role in mediating the association between social capital and new venture creation. Design/methodology/approach Data were collected from 375 entrepreneurs through cross-sectional survey in India. The study used partial least square path modeling to assess the relationships among the variables. Findings Findings reveal that social capital is positively related to new venture creation. The association of social capital and new venture creation is fully mediated by entrepreneurs’ self-efficacy. Originality/value The role of social capital in the success of new venture creations through self-efficacy is useful to the potential entrepreneurs and people who facilitate new venture creation in Indian context.

The current condition of women in the Bantul Coast has low knowledge, skills, creative attitudes, and aspirations, which results in many women living in poverty. Therefore, women on the coast need to be empowered. Women's empowerment that needs to be done is empowerment in the economic field which is useful for overcoming poverty and education that is useful for developing organizational skills. This study aims to examine the effect of educational empowerment and economic empowerment on new venture creation and entrepreneurial self-efficacy as moderating variables in women on the Bantul coast. This research is expected to be able to provide additional empirical evidence to strengthen the concepts and theories regarding the factors that influence women's empowerment towards new venture creation and entrepreneurial self-efficacy and the application of these contents to the community. In terms of time dimension, this research is included in the cross-sectional research category. The sampling technique uses nonprobability sampling type purposive sampling. The sample in this study are women who are members of the Family Welfare Development (PKK) group in the coastal village of Bantul. The analytical model used is the Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of this study are the first effect of economic empowerment on new venture creation, the second is the effect of educational empowerment on new venture creation, and the third is entrepreneurial self-efficacy moderating the effect of education empowerment and economic empowerment on new venture creation.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak work environment (WE) terhadap creative performance (CP) melalui mediasi creative self-efficacy (CSE) karyawan PT. Putra Mojo Maju Jaya Abadi. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 67 responden dengan teknik purposive sampling. Proses perhitungan dan analisis penelitian menggunakan progam aplikasi software Partial Least Square (PLS). Metode pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuisioner dengan menggunakan skala likert lima poin sebagai alat ukur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas lingkungan kerja akan mempengaruhi tingginya efikasi diri kreatif yang selanjutnya akan mempengaruhi kreativitas seseorang dalam bekerja. Namun kualitas lingkungan kerja tidak mempengaruhi langsung creative performance seseorang.

<p><em>This study investigates the influence of organizational commitment and personal cost on civil servant’s intention to do whistle-blowing with reward as moderating variable. To collect the data, this study uses survey method. The 64 civil servants at BPK Lampung Office become respondents of this study who are chosen through purposive sampling method. The Partial Least Square is used to analyze the quantitative data. The findings of the study indicate that organizational commitment gives influence on civil servants to do whistle-blowing. Personal cost does not impact on civil servants to do whistle-blowing. Reward cannot enforce or lessen the influence of organizational commitment and personal cost on civil servants to do whistle-blowing.</em><em></em></p>

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of intellectual capital on financial performance and market value of the manufacturing companies. The sample consists of manufacturing companies, which are consistently registered, in the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period of 2010-2012. Intellectual capital was calculated using value added intellectual coefficient (VAICTM). The main components of VAICTM are physical capital (VACA), human capital (VAHU) and structural capital (STVA). Financial performance is measured using Return on Asset (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE) and Earning per Shares (EPS). Market value is measured using Price Book to Value (PBV) and Price Earnings Ratio (PER). The sampling in this study is using purposive sampling method. Based on the purposive sampling method, it was obtained 71 manufacturing companies listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period of 2010-2012. The data analysis was done by using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results show that: (1) intellectual capital has an effect on the financial performance, (2) intellectual capital has no effect on the market value, (3) financial performance is able to mediate the relationship between intellectual capital and market value.

This study aimed to analyze the influence of morality, reliability, and commitment to the GGG and the implications on the quality LAKIP. The low performance of the apparatus in the delivery of LAKIP an inconsistency GGG that impact on the quality LAKIP. The population is involved in reporting apparatus LAKIP in thirteen units of the Ministry of Religious work throughout Central Lombok district. The sample is determined by purposive sampling method amounted to 50 respondents. analysis using SMART Partial Least Square (PLS) Version 2.0. Findings show GGG influenced by morality and reliability, but is not influenced by the commitment apparatus. Other findings indicate GGG has implications for the quality LAKIP. Implications of the study is useful as consideration of the leadership ranks of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, in optimizing GGG

Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pemasaran kewirausahaan dan orientasi kewirausahaan terhadap keunggulan kompetitif. Jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini sebesar 351 pelaku UMKM. Sampel dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling method. Sampel berjumlah sebesar 100 pelaku UMKM di desa Kanekes, Kecamatan Leuwidamar, Lebak. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat analisis partial least square (PLS) dalam analisis inferensial. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel pemasaran kewirausahaan dan orientasi kewirausahaan berpengaruh positif terhadap keunggulan kompetitif. Hasil penelitian ini bermanfaat sebagai bahan masukan bagi pemegang kebijakan mengenai strategi pengembangan keunggulan kompetitif UMKM, dan diharapkan pula dinas terkait dikabupaten Lebak agar menerima hasil penelitian sebagai bahan informasi dalam pengambilan kebijakan guna merumuskan program pembinaan bagi UMKM. Abstract: This study is a quantitative study that aims to examine the effect of entrepreneurial marketing and entrepreneurial orientation on competitive advantage. The total population in this study was 351 MSME actors. The sample was selected using purposive sampling method. The sample is 100 SMEs in Kanekes village, Leuwidamar district, Lebak. This study uses a partial least square (PLS) analysis tool in inferential analysis. The results of this study indicate that the variables of entrepreneurial marketing and entrepreneurial orientation have a positive effect on competitive advantage. The results of this study are useful as input for policy holders regarding the development of a competitive advantage strategy for SMEs, and it is also hoped that the relevant agencies in Lebak Regency will accept the results of the research as information material in policy making in order to formulate a coaching program for SMEs.
