This study used an explanative survey design followed by descriptive study of the cross sectional approach, which was carried out with 2 stages. The first stage of the study was conducted by identifying internal and external factors for stunting prevention with family empowerment. The second stage involves conducting Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and expert discussion then devised a model of family empowerment as a stunting prevention effort. The number of respondents used was 280 families. The sampling techniques was using cluster sampling. The strongest indirectly data which obtained from the research analysis of the pathway to prevent stunting was extenal factors through stunting empowerment with value of 0.264. The second strongest indirect influence was for stunting prevention through internal stunting prevention factors with value of 0.114. The results of this study showed that the indirect influence of family empowerment on stunting prevention is not as strong as the direct influence

Introduction: Heart failure is a chronic medical condition that, despite the existing therapies, involves different aspects of an individual’s life (such as self-care capability). Illness perception is one of the most important variables which seem to improve the self-efficacy skills in chronic diseases such as heart failure. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effect of family–centered empowerment model on the perception of the illness in heart failure patients. Methods: This interventional study was performed on 70 heart failure patients, assigned into control and experimental groups, admitted to the heart clinic of Hazrate Fatemeh hospital in Shiraz. After the convenience sampling, the patients were divided into two control and intervention groups by block randomization method. For experimental group, the family-centered empowerment modeling was done in 5 sessions. The research materials included demographic information and Brief illness perception questionnaires (B-IPQ). Data were analyzed using SPSS v.13 software. The statistical tests included Wilcoxon, Man-Whitney, and Independent t-test. P value less than 0.05 was considered as significant. Results: In this study, both control and experimental groups were homogeneous with demographic information. Before the intervention in different dimensions of illness perception, all of the values in both groups were the same; However, after the intervention, a significant difference was observed in all of the dimensions of illness perception, except for Time line; so that the most and the least changes were related to the concern (1.09 (0.61) vs 3 (0.93)), and identity dimensions (0.97 (0.61) vs 2.11 (0.67)), respectively. Conclusion: On the basis of the above, it can be concluded that this model modifies the illness perceptions in heart failure patients. Cardiac nurses should consider family- based empowerment model as a treatment for heart failure patients

Introduction: Children with leukemia desperately need serious attention, commitment and it is a hard struggle for family members. Powerlessness experienced by the family will affect the ability of the families to provide care for their children. Many factors can affect the empowerment of families in providing care to their families. Methods: The purpose of this study was to develop a family-centered empowerment model related to the family's ability to care for their child suffering from leukemia. The research design used was an explanation survey. The sample consisted of 140 families with children suffering from leukemia in the pediatric ward of Dr. Soetomo Hospital. Results: The family-centered empowerment model was formed from the family factor, patient factor and nurse factor. The greatest effect was on the nurse factor, with the T statistic value = 6.590.Conclusion: Family factors and nurse factors need to be taken into account in family-centered empowerment. The patient factor has little influence on family empowerment in relation to caring for children. More research is needed on family-centered empowerment models in relation to their ability to care for children with leukemia. For example, a nurse providing a nursing intervention, especially a pediatric nurse, in relation to empowering a parent at the time of caring for their child with leukemia.
