Objective: Obsessive compulsive disorder is one of the most common disorders affectig the individuals’ performance. Promotion of self-efficacy is important in these patients. This study determined the impact of family-centered empowerment model on self-efficacy in patients with obsessive compulsive disorder. Material and Methods: This was a quasi-experimental single group before-after intervention study, which conducted on 36 patients with Obsessive compulsive disorder. The samples were selected with purposive sampling method using inclusion criteria. The family-centered empowerment model was implemented in 5 sessions for 3 months focusing on four categories (perceived threat, self-efficacy, educational contribution, and assessment). The instrument used consisted of two parts including demographic information questionnaire and Self-efficacy Questionnaire which was completed before, immediately after, and 1.5 month after intervention by the study units. The data were analyzed with SPSS21 using descriptive Statistics, repeated measure ANOVA and paired t-test. Results: The mean selfefficacy scores were 47.78±8.71 and 51.44±10.83 before and after intervention, respectively (P=0.04). Also, a comparison of self-efficacy scores with t-test before and after intervention and follow-up indicated a significant correlation (P<0.05). Conclusion: Our findings showed the implementation of family-centered empowerment model could be recommended to increase the rate of self-efficacy in patients with obsessive compulsive disorder. This study used an explanative survey design followed by descriptive study of the cross sectional approach, which was carried out with 2 stages. The first stage of the study was conducted by identifying internal and external factors for stunting prevention with family empowerment. The second stage involves conducting Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and expert discussion then devised a model of family empowerment as a stunting prevention effort. The number of respondents used was 280 families. The sampling techniques was using cluster sampling. The strongest indirectly data which obtained from the research analysis of the pathway to prevent stunting was extenal factors through stunting empowerment with value of 0.264. The second strongest indirect influence was for stunting prevention through internal stunting prevention factors with value of 0.114. The results of this study showed that the indirect influence of family empowerment on stunting prevention is not as strong as the direct influence

Introduction: Heart failure is a chronic medical condition that, despite the existing therapies, involves different aspects of an individual’s life (such as self-care capability). Illness perception is one of the most important variables which seem to improve the self-efficacy skills in chronic diseases such as heart failure. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effect of family–centered empowerment model on the perception of the illness in heart failure patients. Methods: This interventional study was performed on 70 heart failure patients, assigned into control and experimental groups, admitted to the heart clinic of Hazrate Fatemeh hospital in Shiraz. After the convenience sampling, the patients were divided into two control and intervention groups by block randomization method. For experimental group, the family-centered empowerment modeling was done in 5 sessions. The research materials included demographic information and Brief illness perception questionnaires (B-IPQ). Data were analyzed using SPSS v.13 software. The statistical tests included Wilcoxon, Man-Whitney, and Independent t-test. P value less than 0.05 was considered as significant. Results: In this study, both control and experimental groups were homogeneous with demographic information. Before the intervention in different dimensions of illness perception, all of the values in both groups were the same; However, after the intervention, a significant difference was observed in all of the dimensions of illness perception, except for Time line; so that the most and the least changes were related to the concern (1.09 (0.61) vs 3 (0.93)), and identity dimensions (0.97 (0.61) vs 2.11 (0.67)), respectively. Conclusion: On the basis of the above, it can be concluded that this model modifies the illness perceptions in heart failure patients. Cardiac nurses should consider family- based empowerment model as a treatment for heart failure patients

ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate the psychometric properties in terms of validity and reliability of the scale Self-efficacy and their child's level of asthma control: Brazilian version. Method: Methodological study in which 216 parents/guardians of children with asthma participated. A construct validation (factor analysis and test of hypothesis by comparison of contrasted groups) and an analysis of reliability in terms of homogeneity (Cronbach's alpha) and stability (test-retest) were carried out. Results: Exploratory factor analysis proved suitable for the Brazilian version of the scale (Kaiser-Meyer-Olkim index of 0.879 and Bartlett's sphericity with p < 0.001). The correlation matrix in factor analysis suggested the removal of item 7 from the scale. Cronbach's alpha of the final scale, with 16 items, was 0.92. Conclusion: The Brazilian version of Self-efficacy and their child's level of asthma control presented psychometric properties that confirmed its validity and reliability.

The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding for infants aged 0-5 months in Indonesia in 2018 is only 37.3%. Self-efficacy is one of the main factors affecting the behavior of exclusive breastfeeding. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the self-efficacy of mothers for breastfeeding decreased, so increasing efforts are needed. Increasing knowledge can be done by providing online education based on family centered maternity care (FCMC). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of FCMC-based online education on the self-efficacy of postpartum mothers in exclusive breastfeeding. This type of research is pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design with a total sample of 10 postpartum mothers. Data were analyzed using paired t-test. The results showed that the mean self-efficacy before being given online education was 41 with a standard deviation of 4.37, the mean self-efficacy after being given peer education was 59.8 with a standard deviation of 3.4. There is a difference in the mean value before and after the online education intervention was given with p-value = 0.000 (p <0.05). There is an effect of FCMC-based online education on the self-efficacy of postpartum mothers in breastfeeding. Health servicesare expected to facilitate FCMC-based online education programs to increase self-confidence in breastfeeding.
