This study aims to test the influence of country of origin image and word of mouth on perceived quality. Then, the country of origin image and word of mouth and perceived quality on purchase intention of digital camera from Japan. The number of samples in this research are 230 respondents taken by purposive sampling method. Analysis of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is used to test the hypothesis. The results of this study showed that country of origin image and word of mouth have a positive and significant effect on perceived quality. Then, Word of mouth and perceived quality have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention but a country of origin image has no significant effect on purchase intention.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between Role of Country of Origin and Quality Perception of Smartphones Purchase Intention. The approach in the research used is a quantitative approach using PLS-SEM SmartPLS software as a data processing tool. In this study, data collection technique was carried out using either a questionnaire or online questionnaire which was distributed to 120 respondents of Millennial Smartphone Consumers. Sampling system was a snowball sampling method. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it was found that there was a positive and significant relationship between Country of origin and perceived quality of the product. There was also a positive and insignificant relationship between Country of origin and purchase intentions. Finally, there was a positive and significant relationship between perceived quality and consumer purchase intentions.

This study aims to analyze and discuss the influence of perceived quality and country of origin effect of the Xiaomi smartphone purchase intention (studies in the visitors of Plaza Marina Surabaya). The population in this study is a person aged 19-50 years old who is visiting Plaza Marina Surabaya. In this study, researcher used 220 samples. Sampling method is a non-probability sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. In multiple linear regression analysis results show the influence of variables perceived quality and country of origin effect for the purchase intention in the show of the value of Adjusted R Square of 0.407. From the results of the t test that has been done can be seen that the variable perceived quality and country of origin effect has a significant influence partially on the purchase intention.

This study aims to evaluate the impact of Country-of-origin image on purchase intention through two mediating variables (perceived quality and perceived price). After a short literature review, an empirical study was conducted among 120 participants. Results indicate that the country-of-origin Image has a positive impact on perceived quality and perceived price. They also highlight the mediating role of perceived price in the relationship between Country‐of‐origin image and purchase intention.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of country-of-origin and brand image on purchase intention through perceived quality as a variable intervening. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach and data collection methods using survey method. Respondents in this study were students of the State University of Jakarta who had or are currently using Oppo smartphone. Where, in this study, 216 respondents were obtained from various faculties at the State University of Jakarta. The processed data is then used to test seven hypotheses using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of this study are: first, country-of-origin has a positive and significant effect on perceived quality; second, brand image has a positive and significant effect on perceived quality; third, country-of-origin has no significant effect on purchase intention; the fourth, brand image has no significant effect on purchase intention; fifth, perceived quality has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention; sixth, perceived quality can be a mediating variable on the relationship between country-of-origin and purchase intention; seventh, perception quality can be a mediator variable on the relationship between brand image and purchase intention. The many interests of Indonesians for imported cosmetics have invited many foreign companies to enter the Indonesian market, including one of the leading cosmetic brands from South Korea, Etude House. The purpose of this research is to analyse and test the positive effects of country of origin, perceived quality, and brand image on the purchase intention of Etude House cosmetics. Based on the purpose of the research, the proposed hypotheses are: (1) The country of origin of a product affects positively on the purchase intention of a consumer, (2) The perceived quality of a product affects positively on the purchase intention of a consumer, and (3) The brand image of a product affects positively on the purchase intention of a consumer. The sample consists of Etude House consumers in Indonesia who are students of the University of Pelita Harapan, with a total of 146 respondents. The sampling technique used in the research is Convenience sampling method. The statistical analysis is applied by the approach of Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method, with the program SmartPLS. The end result of this research has shown that (1) The country of origin of a product does not affect positively on purchase intention, (2) The perceived quality of a product has a positive and the most significant effect on purchase intention, and (3) The brand image of a product also has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention.

A fundamental shift has happened in the economics and business world. Countries within the same region integrates one another consolidating their politics and economies creating a trading bloc as means for accelerating economic growth. This situation creates new market opportunities and access for low cost workers for producers, consequently generating multiple country of origin information in a single product. For consumers, in terms of evaluating a product, currently are experiencing a new shift, cognitively consumers separate the cue signaled from both country of design and country of manufacture. In this study, first is analysed the impact of strong image related concept that presents with fashion products toward purchase intention, from the test, result is concluded that perceived quality, brand awareness, and fashion involvement had positive correlation toward purchase intention. Second is analysed the role of both country of origin and consumer ethnocentrism that serve as the weak country image concept in moderating function, the outcome form the test concluded that country of origin and consumer ethnocentrism cannot influence the relationship of brand awareness, perceived quality, and fashion involvement toward purchase intention. The purpose of this study is to explore the country of origin´s effects on brand equity dimensions. This research selected wine as the product category and data were collected from Portuguese and Canadian consumers. Our conceptual framework incorporates the influence of country of origin on brand equity dimensions, composed by brand loyalty, brand associations, brand awareness and perceived quality, as well as the brand equity subsequent effect on purchase intention. The hypotheses were tested using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The results of the Portuguese sample indicate that the country of origin affects positively all the brand equity dimensions. The Canadian sample results show that country of origin affects brand loyalty and perceived quality, but there is no significant effect on brand associations and brand awareness dimensions.
