<p><em>The company as an organization has a dependency on individuals within the company itself. Employees as individuals in the company are part of the organizational structure that has a major role in determining the achievement of company goals. In the perspective of employees, direct supervisors' attitudes and actions can increase employee engagement or even create an atmosphere where an employee becomes disengaged (feeling not part of the company/organization). In addition to marketing employees, rewards and recognition are generally used as the main motivation to improve their performance.</em></p><p><em>For this reason, the purpose of this study is to determine the role of perceived supervisor support, rewards, and recognition, employee engagement on performance mediated by job satisfaction. The study was conducted with a survey using a questionnaire where respondents used 170 marketing employees in the banking industry in Tangerang. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results showed there was a relationship between rewards and recognition of employee engagement, there was a relationship between rewards and recognition of performance, there was not a relationship between perceived supervisor support for performance. Employee engagement mediates the relationship between rewards and recognition of job satisfaction. Job satisfaction mediates the relationship between employee engagement on performance.</em></p>

There is a dearth of research examining relationship among HR practices, employee engagement and job satisfaction in public sector undertakings in India. The present study makes an attempt to shed light on this largely neglected area of research by examining the mediating function of employee engagement between HR practices and job satisfaction. Data were collected from 393 executives through a questionnaire survey. Structural equation modelling was used to examine the relationship between HR practices, employee engagement and job satisfaction. HR practices were found to be positively linked with job satisfaction. Further, employee engagement significantly mediated the relationship between HR practices and job satisfaction. The practical implications of the study are discussed in the light of the existing literature.

Companies need employees who are passionate about their job and strive to take organization to height of glory.Owing to high competition in banking sector, it is pertinent to note that banks need to differentiate themselves from competitors. The objective of this study was to examine the relationship of organizational communication strength and employee engagement, with mediating effect of perceived supervisor support and moderating role of organizational trust. Data was collected from a sample 244 employees of banking sector who were through simple random sampling. Cronbach’s alpha was used to test the reliability of the scales used in the study. Correlation and regression analyses were used to analyze the hypothesized relationships. The findings revealed a significant positive relationship between communication strengthand employee’s engagement. Perceived supervisor support mediated the relationship ofcommunication strength and employee’s engagement. Organizational trust moderated the relationship of Perceived supervisor support and employee’s engagement. Organizations should focus on promoting a strong communication system to increase the dedication, vigor and absorption of employees.

This research investigates the determinants of entrepreneurial intention among Vietnamese employees, a crucial segment of potential entrepreneurs yet mostly neglected in previous studies. Given the focus on intention to create an international business venture and the working segment, we expand the entrepreneurial event theory by supplementing perceived competence and job satisfaction as determinants of entrepreneurial intention while testing the mediation of perceived feasibility and perceived desirability in such relationships correspondingly. Three focus groups on 27 Vietnamese employees were conducted to explore the specific relevant competences and develop the conceptual model. Afterwards, data from an empirical survey on 567 Vietnamese employees was analysed using a partial least squares structural equation model to test the hypothesised relationships. The empirical results indicate that perceived competences, viz. administrative competence, communication skills, network building competence, and international business expertise have a positive impact on entrepreneurial intention. The relationships between either administrative competence, network building capacity or international business expertise, and entrepreneurial intention are totally mediated by perceived feasibility. The study also reveals a noteworthy finding about the negative direct effect of overall job satisfaction on entrepreneurial intention and the partial mediating role of perceived desirability in this relationship.

AbstractThis study examines the effect of perceived organisational politics on organisational silence through the mediating role of organisational cynicism. In addition, it tests the effect of perceived support on this relationship. A quantitative (questionnaire survey) design was used to gather data from 346 employees in three public hospitals in Iraq. The structural equation model was used for data analysis. The results demonstrate that all the major hypotheses were accepted, and important role of perceived support in reversing the positive relationship between perceived organisational politics and organisational cynicism was also highlighted. Furthermore, the mediating role was clear in terms of organisational cynicism and the relationship between perceived organisational politics and organisational silence.

This study extends Social Identity Theory by examining the link between organizational identification (OI) and work engagement (WE) through enhanced job satisfaction (JS) and testing it in a non-US environment, which makes contribution to the literature. The study was conducted on a large sample (527) of Turkish blue and white-collar employees from business units of 15 independent companies from 10 different industry types and data was analyzed with Structural Equation Modelling. The results showed that organizational identification is positively related with work engagement. Job satisfaction did not moderate the relationship between OI and WE, but it mediated 54 % of the effect of OI and thus, confirmed the applicability of Social Identitiy Theory in a Turkish context. Results revealed that a sense of identification may be a precondition for work engagement; but it is the mediating effect of job satisfaction, which enhances this relationship.

In this study, the relationship between motivations for success, personal-professional competencies and lifelong learning tendencies of university students were investigated. The study group consists of 344 University students from Turkey and Kosovo. In this research, the collection of data was done by “Personal-Professional Competencies Perception Scale, “Success Oriented Motivation Scale” and “Lifelong Learning Tendency Scale”. In order to determine the relationship between variables in the analysis of the data, correlation analysis was performed and tested with the structural equation model. According to the results of the research; there was a positive significant correlation between motivation for success and personal professional competence, and a positive significant relationship between lifelong learning and personal-professional competence. Motivation for success positively affects personal-professional competencies and lifelong learning tendencies. It has been determined that lifelong learning tendency is a partial tool in this relationship.

The aim of this study was to investigate the mediator role of moral disengagement in the relationship between gender roles and dating violence. Participants were 425 university students [310 (72.9%) female, 115 (27.1%) male, Mage = 20.68 years, SD = 2.21] who completed questionnaires package involving the Gender Roles Attitudes Scale, the Attitudes toward Dating Violence Scales, and the Moral Disengagement Scale. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. A bootstrapping analysis was conducted in order to determine any indirect effects. The results showed that gender roles predicted moral disengagement and dating violence negatively, and that moral disengagement predicted dating violence positively. It was further found that the structural equation model that proposed that gender roles had a direct and an indirect effect through moral disengagement on dating violence was confirmed. The results of the study were discussed in the light of relevant literature, and suggestions for future studies were made.
