The study was done to understand the loneliness, social anxiety and psychological well-being in relation to internet addiction among women college students. The research hypotheses of the study were as follows: 1. There will be no significant relationship among loneliness, social anxiety and psychological well-being on internet addiction among women college students; 2. There will be no significant relationship between age and internet addiction among Women college students;. 3. There will be no significant difference between type of internet users on loneliness, social anxiety, psychological well-being and internet addiction among Women college students. The study was ex post-facto in nature, and cross sectional design was used. Purposive sampling strategy was adopted. The sample comprised of 285 Women college students from Chennai city. The age range of the sample was from 17 to 26 years. Study procedures included the administration of the following measures (i).Davis Online Cognition Scale (DOCS) (Davis, 2001), (ii). UCLA Loneliness Scale (Russell, 1996), (iii). Social Anxiety Questionnaire (SAQ) (Caballo, Salazar, Irurtia, Arias and CISO-A Research Team, 2012) and (iv). PGI General Well-being Measure (Verma & Verma, 1974). Pearson’s Correlation coefficient and ‘t’ test were computed to test the hypotheses. Results are discussed in the light of the findings of the study.

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the impact of gender and location of the college students on psychological well being. The sample for the study comprised of 100 college students from jalna city. In each 50 male students (25 urban and 25 rural male students) and 50 female students (25 Urban and 25 rural female college students). The scale was used for data collection psychological well being scale by Bholge and prakash (1995). Where gender and location were considered as independent variables and psychological well being as dependent variables. 2×2 factorial design was used and data were analysis by Mean, SD and ‘t’ values. Results revered no significant difference between male and female, Urban and Rural college students on psychological well being.

The present study was conducted with the aim to examine the relationship between internet addiction and psychological well-being among youth of Kashmir and to find out the difference in both addiction and psychological well-being among youth of Kashmir with respect to gender and residential status. 100 students studying in various colleges of two districts of Kashmir (Srinagar and Ganderbal) completed the Young’s Internet addiction test (Young, 1998) and Ryff’s Psychological well-being scale (Ryff, 1995). Results of the study revealed a significant negative correlation between internet addiction and psychological well-being among youth of Kashmir. Further it was found that there is significant difference in internet addiction among youth of Kashmir with respect to their gender, males were found to be high on internet addiction than their counter parts and no significant difference was found in internet addiction with respect to their residential status. Results also revealed insignificant difference in psychological well-being among male and female youth and regarding their residential status significant difference was found in psychological well-being, urban youth were found to be high on the levels of psychological well being as compared to rural youth. The study will be helpful in highlighting the effect of internet addiction among youth which is becoming a menace day by day for society.

This study was designed to address the relationship between and some components of psychological well-being and duration among prisoners in Hosanna town. To meet this objective, the researcher drew 100 out of 2,000 populations who were selected as sample participants of the study by using systematic random sampling techniques. A point Likert-type scale questionnaire was used. The data were analysed through percentage, correlation; t-test and analysis of variance. The result revealed that there is no significant relationship between some components of psychological well-being and age among prisoners. The study also revealed that there is a significant difference between male and female prisoners on the components of psychological well-being. The study suggested that it is advisable to create favourable conditions for the prisoner to develop a sense of good interaction among them. Finally, the correctional centre should develop a sense of belongingness and coordination among offenders to minimise stress and conflict in the correctional centre   Keywords: Components; psychological well-being; duration; prisoners.

The study was undertaken to study the psychological well being of male and female college students of district Jalna (M.S.). The sample of the study Consisted 100 college students (50 male students and 50 female students). Randomly secreted from Difference College of Jalna District. Devendra Singh Sisodia and Pooja Choudhary by psychological wellbeing scale was used data collection. The data collected was statistically treated by using mean, SD and one way ANOVA. The findings of the study revealed that there is significant difference between male and female college students on psychological well-being. Furthermore the results highlight that female student has high psychological well-being, efficiency, mental health and interpersonal relations as compared to male students. Male students have high satisfaction and sociability than female college students.

Aim of the research is to find out the psychological Well being among B.ed college students, so investigator selected two groups one is male and other is female, both groups have 120 students. In each group has 60 male and other one groups has 60 female students. Data were collected from different collages of v.v.nagar city. Scale was use for data collection is personal datasheet and psychological Well being scale developed by Bhogale and Prakash (1995), 2×2 factorial design was used and data were analysis by ANOVA test. Result show, There is no significant difference between the Psychological Well being among male and female B.ed college student. There is no significant difference between the Psychological well-being among urban and rural B.ed college student. There is no significant difference between the effect of interaction on Psychological Well being among type of sex and type of area of B.ed college student.
