The study aims at linking disaster and environmental management and its laws with the principles of sustainable development. This is to get the fastest and best result at the lowest cost and effort in the future sustainable development efforts. The researcher used the analytical descriptive methodology to describe laws and legislations including the Islamic law، and the principles of sustainable development، and the level of interdependence between their different components. The study concluded that there is a strong link between the components of sustainable development، environmental management and disaster management. These include protection of life with high quality، human resource protection and risk reduction. That is to strengthen the scientific and practical foundations for implementing a comprehensive preventive system. Environmental، disaster management and laws، on one hand، and sustainable development on the other، both in regulations and laws، or through various practices، coincide with Islamic law and the principles of sustainable development.

AbstractThis essay offers, in Section 2, a translation of al-Nawawī's presentation of the hierarchy of Muftīs. The context of the passage and its terminology and arguments are explored in the other Sections in order to assess their implications for the general character of Islamic juristic activities. Section 1 identifies two themes central to the text, namely loyalty to madhhab and differentiation of the task of the teaching jurist and the muftī. The first of these is elaborated in Section 3, which points to formal qualities of presentation and argument which assert the hermeneutical continuity of the school tradition; and in Section 4, which deals with the pivotal role of the founding imām in the legitimation of the school tradition. Section 5 takes up the terms taqlīd and ijtihād and shows that al-Nawawī's usage points towards a complex resolution of the recent debate about the open/closed door of ijtihād. The last Section returns to the original two themes to make two suggestions: (1) that taqlīd may be assessed as a principal of vitality within a hermeneutical tradition; (2) that the author-jurist (not the practising muftī) is the dominant creative agent within the ongoing juristic traditions.

The article is devoted to the problem of translation of English headlines into Russian to identify headline peculiarities and employed translation shifts. The authors stress the relevance of the conducted study due to the growing need for quick and high quality translation of social-political texts and headlines playing a key role in them. The paper provides a number of definitions for the term «headline»; points out the functions of the headline; stresses the controversial character of the headline: on the one hand, it is an independent speech unit, and on the other hand, it can be treated as an equal element of a text; identifies the peculiarities of English headlines as well as the peculiarities of the newspaper style of the modern English language. The authors look into the translation transformations employed when translating English headlines into Russian as exemplified by the British and American periodicals. Basing on the comparative analysis of the source texts and translations, the authors managed to identify some lexical, grammar, and stylistic peculiarities employed in the English newspapers. The article also notes the key role of the headline and the significance of its translation since it is a correctly composed and then translated headline which provides the attractiveness and competitiveness of a published work.

AbstractSubject and purpose of work: The purpose of the study is to evaluate the utilisation of resources necessary for agricultural production as well as their protection in farms conducting ecological production. The deliberations undertaken in this paper focus on certified farms due to their specificity and character of their production, which is compatible with the principles of sustainable development. Materials and methods: The article uses the results of research from twenty ecological farms in the Chełm- Zamość subregion of Lublin Voivodeship. The deciding factor in selecting this region was the prominent role of agricultural production in this region when compared to the other ones in the voivodeship. Results: The research results have shown that there is a lack of correlation between actions taken by producers and caring for the natural environment. Farmers displayed little awareness with regard to the use of environmental resources and assets in agricultural production. Conclusions: Running a farm aimed at ecological production is connected with the implementation of solutions that have not found application in traditional agricultural production, with obtaining a certificate and the need for training and further study. This does not, however, translate into the introduction of pro-ecological solutions in agricultural production or the farm itself. A significant share of the investigated producers did not report the need for introducing such solutions. It indicates the need for continuous broadening of knowledge and creating ecological.

Abstract Only 10 years remain to achieve all Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) globally, so there is a growing need to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of action by targeting multiple SDGs. The SDGs were conceived as an ‘indivisible whole’, but interactions between SDGs need to be better understood. Several previous assessments have begun to explore interactions including synergies and possible conflicts between the SDGs, and differ widely in their conclusions. Although some highlight the role of the more environmentally-focused SDGs in underpinning sustainable development, none specifically focuses on environment–human linkages. Assessing interactions between SDGs, and the influence of environment on them can make an important contribution to informing decisions in 2020 and beyond. Here, we review previous assessments of interactions among SDGs, apply an influence matrix to assess pairwise interactions between all SDGs, and show how viewing these from the perspective of environment–human linkages can influence the outcome. Environment, and environment–human linkages, influence most interactions between SDGs. Our action-focused assessment enables decision makers to focus environmental management to have the greatest impacts and to identify opportunities to build on synergies and reduce trade-offs between particular SDGs. It may enable sectoral decision makers to seek support from environment managers for achieving their goals. We explore cross-cutting issues and the relevance and potential application of our approach in supporting decision making for progress to achieve the SDGs.
