EL PENSAMIENTO CRÍTICO EN ESTUDIANTES DE BACHILLERATO DE LA UNIDAD EDUCATIVA JEFFERSON, SALINAS.

El presente artículo constituye un análisis de la aplicación del programa didáctico Filosofía para Niños (FpN) como aporte al desarrollo del pensamiento crítico en la asignatura de Lengua y Literatura; la población objeto de estudio fueron los estudiantes y docentes del Bachillerato de la Unidad Educativa Jefferson de Salinas, en el periodo lectivo 2014 – 2015. La finalidad y proyección investigativa, se sustenta en la necesidad de aportar al mejoramiento del proceso enseñanza aprendizaje. El método investigativo utilizado es de carácter cualitativo descriptivo, intervienen, 105 estudiantes, 5 docentes de especialidad y los directivos de la institución educativa, con instrumentos, como: encuestas, entrevistas, observación científica, entre otros. La aplicación del programa didáctico contextualizado, con las particularidades de la sociedad santaelenense en el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje, y en particular de dicha Unidad Educativa, se sustenta en referentes y aportes filosóficos, pedagógicos y sicológicos que buscan generar cuestionamientos en la educación, hasta lograr cambios en la construcción del aprendizaje por y para la vida, de manera significativa. ABSTRACT   This article is an analysis of the application of the didactical program Philosophy for Kids (FpN) as a contribution to the development of critical thinking in the subject of Language and Literature; the target population were the Bachillerato students and teachers at in Jefferson High School, during the 2014 school period.  The purpose and research projection is supported by the need to contribute to the improvement of the teaching learning process.  The research methods used are qualitative and descriptive, with the participation of 105 students, 5 specialized teachers, and the authorities of the institution, using instruments, such as:  surveys, interviews, scientific observation, among others.   The application of the didactical contextualized program, with the characteristics of the Santa Elena society in the teaching learning process, and particularly in the educational unit itself, is based on referents and philosophical, pedagogical, and psychological contributions who search for the generation of a questioning of education, so that significant changes can be achieved in the construction of learning for and because of life.   Keywords: Didactics, Philosophy for children, Critical Thinking Development, Significant learning   Recibido: junio de 2015Aprobado: octubre de 2015

  Las Matemáticas en el preuniversitario cubano exigen de los estudiantes la capacidad de enfrentar y resolver problemas, y que los mismos sean pertinentes y respondan a las necesidades sociales (Aprender a Hacer, Aprender a Ser, Aprender a Convivir, y Aprender a Aprender). Esto sin duda alguna, implica desarrollar la creatividad desde la escuela, ya que la apropiación del conocimiento puede resultar inútil si no se sabe emplear este para crecer como persona y hacer frente a los problemas de hoy y del futuro con eficacia y creatividad. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo estimular el desarrollo de la creatividad, en particular la flexibilidad del pensamiento, de los estudiantes del preuniversitario. El estudio epistemológico permitió revelar limitaciones teórico-metodológicas en presupuestos teóricos que sustentan el objeto de estudio y proponer ideas tendentes a la superación de esas limitaciones. Se parte del análisis de los fundamentos teóricos de la creatividad y de los diferentes enfoques para su estudio. Se realiza una caracterización del concepto creatividad y se determinan las regularidades del mismo en un ambiente sociocultural del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de las Matemáticas en la Educación Preuniversitaria Cubana. El enfoque de aprendizaje que se fundamenta teóricamente toma como referente práctico el proceso de aprendizaje de las Matemáticas en el IPUEC “Ismael Ricondo Fernándezˮ, en el municipio Sagua de Tánamo de la provincia de Holguín.   Palabras clave: estimulación, creatividad, potencialidades creadoras, enfoque creativo, enseñanza aprendizaje.   Abstract   Mathematics in Cuban Senior High School require students with capacity to face and solve problems, and they should be relevant and should respond to social needs (learning how to do), (learning to be), (How to Live Together), and (How to Learn). This certainly means developing creativity from school, because the appropriation of knowledge can be useless, if you do not know how to use it in order to grow up as a person and to deal with today and future problems, effectively and creatively. This paper is aimed to stimulate the development of creativity, particularly the flexibility of thought from pre-university students. This epistemological study allowed revealing theoretical and methodological limitations in theoretical assumptions that support the subject of study, and proposing ideas aimed to overcome these limitations. Starting from the analysis of the theoretical foundations of creativity and different approaches for their study, a characterization of the concept of creativity is made and its regularities are determined within a socio-cultural environment in the teaching-learning process of Mathematics in Cuban High School Education. The learning approach theoretically supported, takes as a practical referent the learning process of mathematics in the IPUEC "Ricondo Ismael Fernandez", in the municipality of Sagua de Tánamo Holguin.   Key words: stimulation, creativity, creative potential, creative approach, teaching and learning.

RESUMEN El propósito de este artículo es presentar los resultados de la investigación sobre la aplicación de las técnicas participativas para potenciar el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje del Inglés en los estudiantes de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí para determinar la contribución de las técnicas participativas en dicho proceso a través de la identificación de las técnicas adecuadas utilizadas por el docente con base a las necesidades requeridas para obtener un aprendizaje significativo en los estudiantes, de las cuales las más relevantes son las técnicas participativas para la fase de consolidación y las de comunicación. La metodología manejada en la investigación se basó en la aplicación de una encuesta a los estudiantes del quinto nivel de diferentes carreras de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, la cual incluyó siete preguntas cerradas y la aplicación de una entrevista a los docentes quienes imparten la asignatura de Inglés. Los resultados obtenidos de estos instrumentos facilitaron la obtención de la información para el desarrollo de este estudio. Los resultados que se obtuvieron en la investigación determinaron que la aplicación de las técnicas participativas es importante porque son un instrumento de interacción entre docentes y estudiantes durante el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje con el propósito de adquirir y asimilar eficientemente los conocimientos impartidos. PARTICIPATORY TECHNIQUES FOR ENHANCING THE TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS OF ENGLISH CLASSES IN STUDENTS OF UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE MANABÍ ABSTRACT The purpose of this article is to briefly present the results of the research about application of participatory techniques to enhance the teaching-learning process of English language in students of Universidad Técnica de Manabí to determine the contribution of the participatory techniques in this process through the identification of the appropriate techniques used by the teacher based on the needs required to obtain meaningful learning in the students, of which the most relevant are the participatory techniques for the consolidation and communications phase. The methodology used in the research was based on the application of a survey to the fifth level students of different careers at Universidad Técnica de Manabí, which included seven closed questions, and the application of an interview to teachers who teach the subject of English, the results obtained from these instruments facilitated the obtaining of information for the development of this study. The results obtained in the investigation determined that the application of participatory techniques is important because they are an instrument of interaction between teachers and students during the teaching - learning process so that the student acquires and assimilates more efficiently the knowledge imparted. RESUMEN El propósito del artículo es analizar la importancia del Flyboard como actividad turística y deportiva, y su inclusión en el pensum de estudios de la carrera de Turismo en la Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí (ULEAM). Se parte de la premisa que el turismo es una actividad que requiere estrategias renovadas para impulsar flujos de visitantes a determinados lugares, especialmente a aquellos que por varios motivos no han alcanzado altos niveles de crecimiento en materia turística, entre otras razones, por no disponer de atractivos novedosos. Para abordar el análisis se consultaron fuentes bibliográficas especializadas en el tema, de tal forma que los planteamientos se sustentan en información reciente y confiable. Es importante destacar que en el proceso de enseñanza- aprendizaje el docente aporta al desarrollo y crecimiento del estudiante y promueve nuevas modalidades para fortalecer la economía por medio del turismo, fundamentalmente con la implementación de propuestas deportivas orientadas a la recreación. Es así como por medio de la educación las universidades forman profesionales capaces de promo-comercializar el turismo en sus diferentes manifestaciones, en particular el turismo de playa fundamentado en el Flyboard, y complementado con otros deportes acuáticos innovadores que estimulan la concurrencia de visitantes desde distintas latitudes. Finalmente debe señalarse que Ecuador afronta un desafío que le obliga a consolidar las bases de su economía a partir del turismo, lo cual es posible con la participación efectiva de la educación y la formación de profesionales capaces de desenvolverse con éxito en las competencias que esta actividad involucra. CONSIDERATIONS ABOUT THE FLYBOARD AS A TOURIST-SPORTS DISCIPLINE IN THE ACADEMIC TRAINING OF THE PROFESSIONAL IN TOURISM ABSTRACT The purpose of the article is to analyze the importance of the Flyboard as a tourist and sports activity, and its inclusion in the studies curriculum of the Tourism career at the Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí University (ULEAM). It is based on the premise that tourism is an activity that requires renewed strategies to boost flows of visitors to certain places, especially those who for various reasons have not reached high levels of growth in tourism, among other reasons, for not having novel attractions. To approach the analysis, bibliographic sources specialized in the subject were consulted, in such a way that the proposals are based on recent and reliable information. It is important to emphasize that in the teaching-learning process the teacher contributes to the student's development and growth and promotes new modalities to strengthen the economy through tourism, fundamentally with the implementation of sports proposals aimed at recreation. Thus, through education, universities train professionals capable of promoting and marketing tourism in its different manifestations, in particular beach tourism based on the Flyboard, and supplemented with other innovative water sports that stimulate the attendance of visitors from different Latitudes Finally, it should be noted that Ecuador faces a challenge that forces it to consolidate the foundations of its economy based on tourism, which is possible with the effective participation of education and the training of professionals capable of successfully developing the skills that this activity it involves. La presente Investigación tiene como objetivo principal, demostrar que el diagnóstico para la ejecución de proyectos de investigación tiene relación con la mejora del aprendizaje de la asignatura de máquinas eléctricas en los estudiantes de la Facultad de Ingeniería Eléctrica y Electrónica de la Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería, en el año académico 2016; sustentada en los registros de notas de los estudiantes de los miembros investigadores. La Investigación es importante, porque la aplicación de estrategias educativas como son, la ejecución de Proyectos de Investigación guiada, la Ejecución de Proyectos con innovación que coadyuva a la obtención de patentes, con la participación de estudiantes y docentes tutores y la reglamentación u ordenamiento del mismo, mediante la elaboración de un Reglamento de Organización y Funciones; contribuirán de la mejor forma posible a la buena formación profesional del estudiante de la Facultad de Ingeniería Eléctrica y Electrónica de la Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería. En la presente Investigación se demuestra que es necesario e importante poner en práctica las estrategias educativas antes mencionadas a fin de mejorar la calidad del proceso enseñanza ‐ aprendizaje de la asignatura de máquinas eléctricas en los estudiantes, así como también mejorar la formación profesional de los estudiantes de la facultad en mención. This study attempted to improve the students’ reading comprehension achievement in descriptive text through Team Games Tournament (TGT) method. This study was conducted by using classroom action research. The subject of the research was class IX SMP PAB 10 Medan Estate which consisted of 25 students. The research was conducted in two cycles and the first cycle consisted of four meetings the second cycle consisted of two meetings. The instruments for collecting the data were quantitative data (reading evaluation) and qualitative data (diary note, observation sheet and interview sheet). Based on reading scores, students’ score kept improving in every evaluation. In the test I the mean was 65,33, in the test II the mean was 71,72 and the test III the mean was 84,54.Based on diary note, observation sheet and interview sheet, it was found that teaching-learning process ran well. Students were active, enthusiastic, and interested in reading. The result of the research showed that Team Games Tournament (TGT) method significantly improved students’ achievement in reading comprehension especially in reading descriptive text.

This study was attempted to improve students’ achievement in writing narrativetext by watching movies. This study was conducted by using classroom action researchin two cycles. Cycle I consisted of four meetings while Cycle II consisted of twomeetings. The subject of the research was class VIII-A SMP SWASTA IMMANUELMEDAN. The number of the students was 34. To collect the data, the instruments werequantitative and qualitative data. The quantitative data was the scores of the studentsand the qualitative data was interview sheets, observation sheets, and diary notes. Basedon the writing score, students’ score were improving in every test. It can be seen inOrientation test, Test I in Cycle I, and Test II in Cycle II. In Orientation test, the meanscore was 37.94 then it was improved to 65.85 in Test I. In the end of cycle II, the meanscore for test II was again improved to 83.41. Based on interview sheets, observationsheets and diary notes, it was found that teaching-learning process ran well. In line withthe data, it showed that the application of watching movies significantly improvedstudent’s achievement in writing narrative text. English teachers were suggested to givemovies to be watched as guidance on students’ narrative writing in the class.

This study attempts to Improving Students’ Achievement Through the Process GenreApproach. The objective of the study is to discover whether the use of the ProcessGenre approach could significantly improve students’ writing achievement. This studyconduct by applying Classroom Action Research which was carried out in two cycles inten meetings. The subject of this study of SMA Panca Budi Medan which consisted of39 students of class X – 2 reguler.. Orientation test was done in the first meeting, test IIwas done in the fourth meeting, and test III was done in the last meeting. The mean ofstudents’ score test III (76,242) was higher than the test II (66,878) and test I (57,606).Besides, the qualitative data was taken from observation sheet, interview, questionnaire,and diary notes. It was found that teaching learning process ran well. By applying theProcess Genre Approach in the classroom, the students understood the content ofdescriptive text easily. They also were active and enthusiastic during the teachinglearning process. The result of the research showed that the application of the ProcessGenre approach significantly improved students’ achievement in writing descriptive text

This study deals with the way to improve students’ achievement in speaking particularly through Two Stay Two Stray Strategy. This study was conducted by using classroom action research. The subject of of the research was class X-AP SMK Swasta Harapan Danau Sijabut in Asahan Regency that consisted of 34 students. The research was conducted in two cycles consisted of three meetings in each cycle. The instruments of collecting data for quantitative data used Speaking Test and instrument for analysis of qualitative data used observation, interview and questionnaire sheet. Based on the speaking test score, students’ score kept improving in every test. In the test I the mean was 61,47, in the test II the mean was 67,41 and the test III the mean was 78,52. Based on observation sheet and questionnaire sheet, it was found that teaching learning process run well and lively. Students were active and interest in speaking. The using of Two Stay Two Stray Strategy is significantly improved students’ achievement in speaking.

This study attempts to increase students’ vocabulary achievement by using flash cards. The objective of the study is to investigate whether the using of flash card can improve students’ vocabulary achievement. This study conduct by applying Classroom Action Research which was carried out in two cycles in six meetings. The subject of this study of SD Negeri 174559 Siraituruk, Porsea which consisted of 34 students. For collecting data, the instruments used were quantitative (vocabulary test) and qualitative data (interview sheet, observation sheet, and diary notes. Based on the data, it was found that the mean of the second cycle (80, 44) is higher than the mean of first cycle (64, 85) and pre-test (44, 41).  Based on interview sheet, observation sheet and diary notes, it was found thee students were more active and more enthusiastic during the teaching learning process in the second cycle than the first one. It was concluded that teaching vocabulary by using  flash cards can improve the students’ vocabulary achievement.

This study is concerned with the improving student’s vocabulary achievement in writing descriptive text through Make a Match Method. The objective of this study was to discover whether the use of Make a Match Method could significantly improve students’ vocabulary achievement in writing descriptive text. This study was conducted by applying Classroom Action Research which was carried out in two cycles in six meetings. The subject of this study was students of SMA Negeri 1 Pollung which consisted of 34 students. The instruments for collecting data were descriptive writing test, observation sheet, questionnaire sheet, and diary notes. The techniques for data analysis were quantitative and qualitative. It was found that teaching-learning process ran well. Students were active, enthusiastic and interested on writing descriptive text. The result of this study showed that the use of Make a Match Method significantly improved student’s vocabulary achievement in writing descriptive text.
