The accurate evaluation of a course determines the quality of learning and is the basis for evaluating the students' academic achievements. This paper, on the theoretical basis of grade point, builds a dynamic stratified GPA (Grade Point Average) evaluation model for the course Automotive Electrical System Diagnosis, focuses on the whole process assessment and aims to stimulate the enthusiasm of learning to meet the demands of the training of social skilled talents.

Education has always been one of the basic necessities of any individual’s life. Education provides opportunities for children to learn, prepare for the future, and be able to change the lives of present and future generations. With education, people can obtain academic achievements that will be useful for his life. Academic achievement in adolescents can be influenced by parenting styles. The aim of the current study is to examine the differences in academic achievement in adolescents based on parenting styles. This study utilizes quantitative data and has 386 subjects. Data were retrieved through parenting styles questionnaires as well as grade point average (GPA). Data is processed by using One Way ANOVA. Based on the results of research, it was found that there was no differences in academic achievement in adolescents based on parenting, either by father or mother, with a p score on father parenting = .223 and the p score on mother parenting = .737.

Keywords: academic achievement, parenting styles, adolescence

Students were assigned a five-page research paper on a topic in psychology. In-class instruction in library skills was provided early in the course. Assistance with content-specific writing skills was made available, using extra credit incentives on a voluntary or involuntary basis outside of class, by staff consultants from the library and peers from the tutorial and writing centers. The quality of the final paper was evaluated on a 4-point scale. Students who consulted got higher paper grades, and there was a significant positive correlation between the number of consultations and the final paper grade, whether the consultations were voluntary or involuntary. Prior grade point average (GPA) also predicted paper grades.

The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of the knowledge and interests of students following the PPAk. This research was conducted by distributing research instruments in the form of questionnaires that were given directly to students who would complete their studies in the S 1 Accounting study program. Students who willbe asked to become respondents are asked to fill out a questionnaire. Grade Point Average (GPA) of students who are respondents above 3.25. The results showed that the existence of PPAk was not fully understood so that there were differences in motivation among respondents. Relevant students are very strongly influenced by the desire to get a job / career, whereas for extension students who generally have worked the interest in obtaining a CA degree is motivated by other than a desire for a career but also a desire to improve the quality of professionalism in accounting. Thus, it seems that the extension of students' understanding of the existence of PPAk is more comprehensive compared to regular students.

Grades function as an important tool for instructors, both to communicate information to students about their performance and to motivate them to try harder to succeed. This research examines student reactions to the presentation of grades in a marketing course to observe their impact on student ratings, perceptions, attributions, and emotions. A study compared different patterns of grades for three exams in which students could receive a 3.0 or similar grade point average (GPA). The results indicate that, holding overall GPA equal, students like a decline in grades the least, but they do not necessarily prefer improvement of grades over receiving the same grade throughout the term. Grades perceived to be bad have a disproportionate impact, regardless of the quality of the grades received later in the semester. Findings regarding student reactions support the literature on relative deprivation and on the asymmetry of negative and positive information.

Electronic jacquard control system is the core technology of tufted carpet equipment, whose dynamic characteristics determines the quality of tufted carpet surface(the roughness、the level of loop transition phenomenon). In this paper, the structure of jacquard control system is analyzed. And the concept of roughness of carpet surface is given. Its evaluation model is established. Through analysis of structure, we point out that the key factor affecting the quality of carpet surface is signal acquiring unit which is investigated in this paper. We analyze the characteristics of system and the quality of the carpet surface, also establish the model of relationship between the synchronous sampling frequency of stepper motor and the height of carpet loop. Using this simulation model, we get the optimal synchronous sampling frequency of stepper motor to ensure the quality of carpet surface, also provide a theoretical basis for the design of control system.

The current study aimed to identify the degree of assessing the quality of academic programs at Najran University from students’ perspective. Descriptive and analytical approach was adopted. The study population consisted of all students of the Faculty of Education in Najran University in Saudi Arabia, numbered (1380) students. The participants (296) students randomly selected, the author used the questionnaire as the tool of the study. The results showed that means of the assessment of the domain of faculty members at Najran University from students’ perspective was high. There are no statistically significant differences of the assessment of academic programs’ quality at Najran University from students’ perspective due to gender. Furthermore, there are statistically significant differences of the assessment of academic programs’ quality at Najran University from students’ perspective due to academic year and Grade Point Average (GPA).

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between academicachievement and social functionality among university students. Data regarding thesocio-demographic variables of 67 university students were analyzed. Based on thesocio-demographic variables and social functianalysis method was used. Data analysis suggests that among the participants, 59,7%(n = 40) were male whereas 40,3% (n = 27) were female; 65,7% (n = 44) were single;62,7% (n=42) were smoking; and mean grade point average was 2,67. Correlationsrevealed that higher grade point average is associated with higher levels of socialfunctioning; higher interpersonal functioning is associated with higher grade pointaverage; and higher independence is associated with higher grade point average. It issalient to involve in pro-social activities, to improve the quality of communicationbetween each other, and to acquire new hobbies and interests in order to succeed inacademic life. Consequently, the universities should organize more conferences andmeetings related with social functionality under the aim of enhancing academic skillsof their students.

Each study program seeks to improve the quality of education and accreditation. One element that becomes the value of accreditation is students who graduate on time. The more active students, the more students will graduate on time. Thus, the head of the study program needs to make predictions of students who will be inactive in the next semester. To make predictions, we must determine what features are needed. This article is the result of feature selection research to predict the active status of students. The selection of features using seven features using the RandomForest package from R Studio. One feature as output is the active status of students and six features as input i.e; grade point (GP), grade point average (GPA), parent work, school majors, school category, and student hometown. The results of the selection of features show the strongest features to the weakest are; grade points (GP), grade point average (GPA), work of parents, majors of origin, schools of origin, and student hometown
