Abstract.  Analysis of Implicature in Column Mang Usil in Kompas Daily Newspapers and Their Implications in Learning Indonesian in High School.  The purpose of this research was to (1) describe the form of implicatures in Column Mang Usil at Kompas Newspaper, (2) describe the function of implicature in Column Mang Usil at Kompas Newspaper. This research is a qualitative descriptive study analyzing Mang Usil corner column in  Kompas Daily Newspapers. Instruments used in this research is researcher and matrix form and function implicatures. Data in this research is written utterances contained in Mang Usil column in the Kompas Daily Newspaper June 2015, while the data source of this research is the Kompas Daily Newspaper. Data collection technique used in this research is the technique of reading, and record. The result showed that (1) the form of implicatures obtained in Column Mang Usil at Kompas Daily Newspapers consists of three types: declarative sentences consisting of declarative active and passive, imperative sentences consisting of imperative ordinary and prohibitions, and interrogative, (2) Function implicatures obtained in Column Mang Usil at Kompas Daily Newspapers consists of seven types, which function in the form of statements, functions in the form of satire, functions in the form of criticism, functions in the form of appreciation, functions such as support, functions in the form of a ban, and functions such as command, (3) the results of this study can be implicated in learning Indonesian Language in senior high school that is in the learning activities anecdotes text as one alternative learning resources in producing the text anecdotes on high school students grade X.

Sebagai kalamullah Al-Qur‘an memiliki pengertian yang tak terbatas. Pemahaman tersebut dapat ditelisik melalui banyak disiplin ilmu serta banyak fenomena yang ditemukan di masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk serta fungsi tindak tutur komisif pada Surah Al-Baqarah dan implementasinya sebagai bahan pembuatan teks ceramah SMA kelas XI. Metode yangdigunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan pragmatik. Data penelitian diperoleh dari Surah Al-Baqarah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat tindak tutur komisif pada Surah Al-Baqarah yang meliputi tindak tutur komisif berniat, menjamin, menawarkan, dan berikrar/berjanji yang memiliki fungsinya masing-masing. Selain itu, tindak tutur komisif pada Surah Al-Baqarah dapat diimplementasikan di dunia pendidikan dengan menggunakannya sebagai bahan pembuatan teks ceramah siswa SMA kelas XI.As kalamullah the Qur'an has unlimited understanding. This understanding can be examined through various scientific disciplines as well as a number of events that develop in the social context of society. The purpose of this study is to describe the form and function of commissive speech acts in the Surah Al-Baqarah and its implementation as material for making class XI high school speech texts. The method used is descriptive qualitative with pragmatic approach. The research data was obtained from the Surah Al-Baqarah. The results of this study are commissive speech acts in the Surah Al-Baqarah which include, commissive speech acts threatening, intending, guaranteeing, offering, and vowing / promising that have their respective functions. In addition, commissive speech acts found in Surah Al-Baqarah can be implemented in the world of education by using them as material for making speech texts for grade XI high school students.

Graphing calculators are revolutionizing the learning and teaching of mathematics. Students can view and manipulate graphs of functions in a matter of seconds. Such features as “plot,” “graph,” “trace,” and “zoom” offer opportunities for users to develop an understanding of the terms variable and function. According to the Curriculum and Evaluation Standards for School Mathematics (NCTM 1989), these concepts are vital aspects of the middle school curriculum. According to the standards document, “[A]n ideal 5-8 mathematics curriculum would expand students' knowledge of numbers,… patterns and functions, and the fundamental concepts of algebra” (pp. 65-66). In addition, “[T]echnology, including calculators, computers, and videos, should be used when appropriate” (p. 67). It stand to reason that tools to aid in understanding such concepts as variable and function, specifically graphing calculators, should not be reserved for high school juniors and seniors. This article discusses the use of graphing calculators by students of middle school age in an enrichment program for academically able, but economically disadvantaged, students. The exercises described helped students develop an understanding about variable and function. Students were actively engaged in problem solving that involved hands-on, real-life activities.

One of the misconceptions can be identified by using CRI (Certainty of Response Index). The purpose of this study was to identify the misconceptions of class XII high school students in the city of Pekanbaru on the material of Photosynthesis and Plant Respiration using the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) method. This research is a survey research. The location of this research was carried out at two high schools in Pekanbaru, namely SMA N 15 Pekanbaru and SMA IT Az-Zuhra Pekanbaru. The number of samples in this study is the total population of the two SMAs. The data collection technique was carried out using a written test instrument in the form of a multiple choice test accompanied by CRI. The average percentage of students' misconceptions of SMA IT AZ-ZUHRA and SMAN 15 Pekanbaru on the concept of photosynthesis, the highest percentage is in the sub-concept of the benefits of photosynthesis for plants by 96.15% and the lowest percentage is in the sub-concept of photosynthetic pigments at 53.19%. The average percentage of students' misconceptions at SMA IT AZ-ZUHRA and SMAN 15 Pekanbaru on the concept of plant respiration, the highest percentage is found in the sub-concept of understanding respiration in plants of 84.62%. The lowest percentage is found in the sub-concept of understanding breathing and the sub-concept of when plants breathe, each of which is 67.58%.

This study was conducted in the context of an increasing number of reported cases of bullying, school violence, and juvenile crimes in Vietnam. Aggressive behaviors were associated with school violence. The objective of this study was to assess four types of aggression expressed simultaneously by form and function in high school students. A cross-sectional study consisted of 644 high school students in Hanoi and Hung Yen province. Peer Conflict Scale was used. The results showed that 99.4% of students reported aggressive behavior, with 30.4% reporting "often" and 20.8% reporting "always" doing at least one aggressive behavior. Reactive-overt aggression was reported the most. Proactive – overt aggression was reported the least. Unlike many previous studies, female students exhibited a higher level of aggression than male students. Positive correlation was found among 4 types of agreesion. Logistic regression analysis showed that one type of agreesion could predict the others Research findings are useful developing classroom management plans and psychological support for students.

This study aims to obtain a description of the errors of high school students on linear program topics by using the Newman Error Analysis. This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted by giving a test to participants consisting of a three-word problem on the topic of a linear program then conducting interviews as a data collection technique. Participants in this study were five female students of class XI in one of the senior high schools in Bandung, including four people who were students majoring in Sciences studies and one person who was a student majoring in Social studies. Based on the results of a research according to the Newman Error Analysis, all participants made several types of errors on the topic of a linear program. Errors made by the participants include transformation errors made by three students, the process skill errors made by two students, and writing error answers made by two students.

This research tries to analyze the mathematics learning difficulties of Junior High school students on the material of “ relation and function”. This research was conducted on the grade VIII students in one of Junior High School 1st semester in Surakarta city in the academic year 2016. Mastery of students to the concept of mathematics which is the basic science of all sciences is still lacking. The results of the national exam of junior high school students of Surakarta are still low, one of which can be seen from the absorption of material relations and functions. This is because the results of National Examination for the city of Surakarta, can be seen from the absorption of UN value in 2015 with indicators to solve problems related to the function of 57.23%, while the year 2016 with indicators determine the value of the function if the formula of the known function of 52.70 %. This study uses test methods and interviews to find out the learning difficulties and their causes. Based on the test and interview on 3 Junior high school students who have high, medium and low learning achievements, it is found that students got difficulties in determining the value of function and value of x, if the image of x is known. Students get difficulty in solving problems related to the function and determine the value of the function and determine the value of x if the image of x is given. By knowing the difficulties faced by students expected teachers can find ways to overcome difficulties faced by students so that will be able to improve students' understanding of the material relations and functions.

<p>The years spent as high school students are some of the most formative to the development of confidence in identity, and in preparing young people to be resilient adults. The school environments in which development occurs have an imperative role to play in providing space for identity to form freely and in providing equal opportunity for students to succeed. This research will focus on understanding how architecture might provide the space for identities to form freely and how processes and spatial outcomes could encourage this development to happen equitably.  This research engages feminist theory, processes and practices to increase spatial agency and identity agency for students. Encouraging the autonomy of students hopes to influence a sense of purpose and belonging to the space, and help students feel belonging within a community.  The theoretical position of this research is between feminist practice and gender and space. Supporting fields of research include pedagogy and policy. Whilst each existing field is independently expansive in scope, this research explores how these fields intersect, overlap and function when applied to the context of high school architecture.  A design-led methodology will inform four Pieces towards the completion of this research, each considering ‘design’ as the process, outcome and representation strategies. The first Piece, Processes, will involve the design and running of participatory workshops with students. The second Piece, Sites, will include photo analysis of existing schools to uncover what information existing architecture might be disseminating. The third Piece, Interventions, will be the design of actionable guides, posters, zines and ‘take- aways’ that share the findings of the research. The fourth and final Piece, Speculations, will include speculative concept designs that respond to the accumulated knowledge and provoke curiosity for the potential in this research area and way of practicing.  The outcomes of this research, the feminist architectural processes, designs and communication, aim to better understand how to facilitate participation in architecture for identity development and therefore help equalise opportunities in education.</p>
