This study aims to determine the relationship of junior high school students’ spatial and mathematical logical intelligence based on understanding the concepts. Spatial intelligence indicators in this study are reviewed from students’ abilities in using images as a tool for solving problems, connecting data with concepts that have been held, and finding patterns in solving problems. On the other hand, the indicators of students’ mathematical logical intelligence is observed by looking at students' abilities to mention and understand information that is known in a problem, to draw up a plan of completion and to do mathematical calculations correctly. The indicators of understanding concepts are restating a concept, providing examples and non-examples of concepts, and applying concepts or algorithms in problem solving. The research method in this research is the Ex Post Facto correlational type, with using a purposive sampling as the sampling technique. The results of the data analysis obtained a correlation coefficient is around 0.93 with 86% R square. The relationship between the spatial intelligence variables is shown by the understanding of concepts by 86%, the level of the relationship, with the correlation coefficient is 0.93, where mathematical logical intelligence with an understanding of 80%, with the level of the relationship of 0.89, and the relationship of spatial intelligence with a mathematical logical is described by a 77% level of the relationship, with 0.88, as the correlation coefficient. The results showed that there was a very strong relationship between spatial intelligence and logical mathematics in terms of understanding students' concepts.

Identifying and correcting the mistake that students make about science concept is very important. The main purpose of this article is to analyse some publications about common science misconceptions in some science topics in junior high schools. Misconceptions are erroneous perceptions of what is universally accepted. The misconception identification in this research is based on the descriptive research using some journal publications in Indonesia university which is held science education study program. Study found that : the concept of photosynthesis,  respirations, the relationship of photosynthesis and respirations, force (action and reaction forces) , and Newton laws are most frequently investigated as misconceptions of science. Students’ interest and learning environments are some reasons of students’ misconceptions.

This study aims at finding out how: (1) amount of input, (2)  amount of vocabulary, (3) learner’s motivation, (4) amount of input, amount of vocabulary, and learner’s motivation affect the English reading literacy; (5) amount of input affects amount of vocabulary, (6) amount of vocabulary affects learner’s motivation, and (7)  amount of input affects learner’s motivation. This study was an ex-post facto. The population comprised year VII students of SMP’s in Bantul District in the second semester of the academic year of 2013/2014. A sample of 384 students was established using the proportional sampling technique. The data were collected through a close-ended questionnaire and test. The close-ended questionnaire was used to collect the data related to students’ learning input and motivation. The test was used to find out the students’ knowledge on vocabulary and reading comprehension. The data were analyzed by employing the linear regression analysis for the linear variables, continued by the multiple regression analysis for the whole variables, and then followed by partial correlation. The findings showed that there is a significant effect of: (1) amount of input; (2) amount of vocabulary; (3) amount of inputs, the learner’s motivation, and amount of vocabulary; (4) amount of inputs and learner’s motivation; (5) learner’s motivation and amount of vocabulary; and (6) amount of inputs and amount of vocabulary on the English reading literacy of SMP students in Bantul District. Meanwhile, there is no significant effect of learner’s motivation on the English reading literacy of SMP students in Bantul District.

Abstract This study aims to determine the relationship between education on the value of healthy living through halal food materials and thaybah in a multicultural Islamic perspective, with healthy living behavior of junior high school students. Based on purposive random sampling, the sample was 50 (21%) from a population of 237 students. The questionnaire used to collect data consisted of a questionnaire with a variable x and a questionnaire with a variable y. Supporting data were obtained through observation and interviews with respondents, namely teachers and several students. Data were analyzed through correlation hypothesis testing with bivariate correlation coefficient technique, namely product moment using SPSS. The results show; There is a close relationship of 0.76 between the two variables. The results of this study answer the contradiction between the two views. One side supports, the other side opposes the theory of the relationship between education, the value of clean and healthy life, a multicultural Islamic perspective on the formation of students' clean and healthy living behavior. The results of this study led to a major change in the views of education actors so as to encourage teachers to be more serious and concentrate on implementing healthy life value education.

In the current era of information globalization, Indonesia is enlivened by the presence of several private television stations such as ANTV, INDOSIAR, TRANSTV, MNC TV, RCTI, SCTV, GLOBAL TV, TV ONE, TRANS 7, METRO TV. All of these private televisions are trying to attract as many viewers as possible and can occupy the highest portion. Street children's soap operas that aired on RCTI succeeded in sucking the public's attention, not least the citizens of Surabaya. That's why television is very big influence in changing the behavior of the audience. Imitation is the first level of apparent influence, in which viewers see repeatedly the behavior of their idol figures and tend to mimic those behaviors. This is understandable because one of the developmental behaviors of a person is generated from their more mature examples, parents, family, teachers, even other people who become idols. They often witnessed the soap opera starring Stefan William and Nathasa Wilona whose name is now starting to stick out. The emergence of imitation behavior in adolescents is not "solely caused by television, but also related to the role of the family. Based on the above mentioned background, the purpose of the research is to know the relationship of Intensity watching Impressions of Street Children Sinetron Against Imitation Behavior at Junior High School Students of 24th Grade VIII Surabaya. This study uses descriptive quantitative, this study the authors use survey research methods. This research is classified in explanative type of research, the sample is 150 students, total sampling technique. Analytical techniques used using multiple linear regression, t test and correlation. Keywords: watch intensity, and imitation behavior

Making decision related to choosing a major in university is a complecated process for senior high school students (grade XII), particularly for those with career indecision problem. Career indecision is persons inability to choose a particular course of study. Some studies showed that personality is one of significant factor that correlate with career indecision. However, there are some incosistency related to the particular aspec of personality which is associated with career indecision. This research was conducted to find out the relationship of personality type based on big five theory personality with career indecision among high school students of class XII in Jadebotabek. The sample involved 128 high school students which obtained by using incidental sampling technique. The data were collected by using Career Decision Scale (CDS) and Big Five Inventory (BFI) measurements. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between neurotics (r = 0.175) with career indecision and negative relationship between conscientiousness (r = -0.181) with career indecision variable. While other dimensions such as: openness to experience, extraversion, and agreeableness has no significant relationship with career indecision. Thus, an intervention to help students with career indecision problem need to consider aspec of personality.

Purpose of the study: The concept of student fraction, in general, is to understand a small part of an intact part so that students' understanding of fractions as quantities needs to be considered in the context of quantitative reasoning. This study aimed to explore and describe the reasoning of junior high school students in Bima, Indonesia, in understanding the relationship of quantities as a fraction. Methodology: Research was conducted with qualitative research, which was descriptive exploratory with the stages of giving the Fraction Problem Task (FPT) and task-based interviews. The subjects in this study were 4 students selected from grades 8 and grade 9, who had studied fraction material and were chosen based on the categorization shown by students on the answer sheet. Main Findings: The results of this study described that there were two forms of student reasoning approaches, namely the variable and the non-variable approach. In the variable approach, students used multilevel variables, namely level one and level two, whereas, in a non-variable approach, students connected quantities directly, without involving variables. Applications of this study: The process of connecting quantities involved quantitative reasoning with different quantitative operations, such as the quantity combination in the form of multiplication, addition, and concurrent combination of multiplication and addition. Novelty/Originality of this study: In the process of linking quantities, students were connecting composite units with intact units directly, and students were connecting composite units, continuous units, and then connecting to intact units.
