English: Plant photosynthetic responses such as photosynthesis, transpiration rate and stomatal conductance are interrelated. There is a definite tendency for variability between photosynthetic responses and leaf positions at different branches. The variability is in the form of diurnal variations relative to the leaf positions of photosynthesis, transpiration and stomatal conductance on the same branch of Jatropha curcas plants. This research paper presented shows that the correlation between plant photosynthetic responses through mathematical modeling. Through the proposed model, the characteristic of plant responses constants for jatropha plants were calculated and the different deviation from their observed value was calculated by calculating the different plant photosynthetic parameters. In the comparative study, the average deviation of the photosynthetic responses ranged from 1.69 - 13.21. This model can be easily used in calculating plant photosynthetic responses according to their leaf positions on the branches of other plants.

Current cobalt processing practices are described. This article discusses the advantages of the group argument accounting method for mathematical modeling of the leaching process of cobalt solutions. Identification of the mathematical model of the cascade of reactors of cobalt-producing is presented. Group method of data handling is allowing: to eliminate the need to calculate quantities of chemical kinetics; to get the opportunity to take into account the results of mixed experiments; to exclude the influence of random interference on the simulation results. The proposed model confirms the capabilities of the group method of data handling for describing multistage processes.

Background: The constancy of the ambient temperature is the main condition to correctly determine the time of death by thermometric method. However, in practice, this requirement is met only in cases of death in closed rooms. In this study, an exponential mathematical model was proposed for corpse cooling under any changes in ambient temperature. Aim: This study aimed to develop a mathematical model to determine the time of death based on the NewtonRichman cooling law in changing ambient temperature conditions. Materials and methods: Mathematical modeling of corpse cooling under changing ambient temperature is performed, focusing on problem solving of thermometric determination of the time of death. The axillary hollow was used as the diagnostic zone of the corpse, and the temperature of which at the time of death is taken is 36.6С. Results: A method of reverse reproduction of the cadaver temperature in conditions of changing ambient temperature has been developed. Results allow a relatively simple analytical determination of the time of death in the early postmortem period. Conclusions: The proposed method is advisable to be used in forensic medical practice to determine the time of death in early postmortem period. The developed mathematical model is implemented in the format of the application program Warm Bodies NRN. Use of tympanic and intraocular thermometry was recommended within the proposed model.

This paper presents a comprehensive and straightforward method for the mathematical modeling of a generic ball-end cutter. In the proposed approach, a mathematical model of the rake surface is developed based on a normal helix cutting edge geometric model. A mathematical model of the flank surface is then derived based on the assumption of a constant clearance angle. The proposed model is applicable to a wide range of ball-end cutters. As a result, it provides an ideal basis for the generation of the NC equations required to machine ball-end cutters on a 6-axis CNC grinding machine.

Although a smoothly running supply chain is ideal, the reality is to deal with imperfectness in transportations. This paper tries to propose a mathematical model for a supply chain under the effect of unexpected disruptions in transport. Supplier offers the retailer a trade credit period and the retailer in turn offers his customers a permissible delay period. The retailer offers his customers a credit period and he receives the revenue from to , where is the cycle time at the retailer. Under this situation, the three cases such as , , and are discussed. An EPQ-based model is established and retailer's optimal replenishment policy is obtained through mathematical theorems. Finally, numerical examples and sensitivity analysis are presented to felicitate the proposed model.

In this paper a non-linear mathematical model is proposed for a qualitative representation of ecosystem dynamics in a eutrophied water body. The model variables are the concentration of nutrients, densities of algal population, zooplankton population, detritus and the concentration of dissolved oxygen. The model consists of five coupled ordinary differential equations. By using the qualitative theory of differential equations the model steady-state dynamics are studied. Simulation analysis is also performed to see the effect of rate of input of nutrients on different variables participating in the proposed model.

Stationary switching regenerative heat exchangers (SSRHEs) are used for the ventilation of premises. The mathematical modeling of heat exchange between air and a regenerative nozzle is used to design the SSRHEs and determine their main parameters. The numerical solution of the proposed mathematical model has been experimentally tested for adequacy. The calculated and experimental values of the air temperature at the ends of the SSRHE are compared. It is determined that the proposed model is adequate and can be used in further research.

Intensification of post-harvest processing of leguminous crops is an urgent task for the enterprises of the agro-industrial complex. The improvement of the known methods of ensuring reliable pro-tection of leguminous crops from the effects of pathogenic microflora, quarantine insect pests is of particular interest for research. The most common method of disinfection of products is con-sidered fumigation - the elimination of insect pests and pathogens with a gas or vaporous toxic chemical. The article discusses the process of fumigation of leguminous crops by an ionized flow of an aerodisperse mixture in a drum-type installation, and also presents the results of mathemati-cal modeling of this process. The mathematical description of the proposed model of the fumiga-tion process was carried out using the Mathcad application package. The analytical study of the obtained mathematical model allowed us to establish a number of dependencies and patterns char-acterizing the course of the process of electrostatic fumigation of leguminous crops in the mode of constant mixing.

In order to investigate the performance of Iris wilsonii in high-salinity wastewater, seven microcosm submerged beds were built with rectangular plastic tanks and packed with marble chips and sand. Each submerged bed was transplanted with six stems of I. wilsonii. The submerged beds were operated in a 7-d batch mode in a greenhouse with artificial wastewater for three 42-d periods. Influent to the seven submerged beds had different contents of NaCl, 0, 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10% (by weight). The results suggested that lower salinity contents (1–2%) in influent or during short stress time (0–14d) did not inhibit net photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance, and transpiration rate of I. wilsonii, and the chlorophyll of I. wilsonii was not damaged. When initial NaCl contents were at 4% and above, however, all photosynthetic parameters were significantly decreased. It was concluded that I. wilsonii could take up Na+ in wastewater, but higher salinity (4–10%) in wastewater would inhibit the growth of I. wilsonii.

The paper presents the system of predicting the indicators of accreditation of technical universities based on J. Forrester mechanism of system dynamics. According to analysis of cause-and-effect relationships between selected variables of the system (indicators of accreditation of the university) there was built the oriented graph. The complex of mathematical models developed to control the quality of training engineers in Russian higher educational institutions is based on this graph. The article presents an algorithm for constructing a model using one of the simulated variables as an example. The model is a system of non-linear differential equations, the modelling characteristics of the educational process being determined according to the solution of this system. The proposed algorithm for calculating these indicators is based on the system dynamics model and the regression model. The mathematical model is constructed on the basis of the model of system dynamics, which is further tested for compliance with real data using the regression model. The regression model is built on the available statistical data accumulated during the period of the university's work. The proposed approach is aimed at solving complex problems of managing the educational process in universities. The structure of the proposed model repeats the structure of cause-effect relationships in the system, and also provides the person responsible for managing quality control with the ability to quickly and adequately assess the performance of the system.
