Microlesson and flipped classroom, which incorporate the educational information technologies, are a new trend of college English teaching. Exploration on how the flipped classroom and microlesson promote innovation and application of educational information technology are of great significance. According to a survey among teachers, strategies that can improve the quality of college English teaching may include: strengthening teacher training; reforming the previous teaching evaluation system; managing the pre-class and classroom time; correctly understanding the role of modern education technology in college English teaching; paying attention to convergence between teaching materials and teaching software; implementing a variety of teaching methods, and strengthening the interaction inside and outside of the classroom.

The research of grammar has been received much concern at home and abroad and the instruction of grammar is a focus and difficulty in English language teaching. The role of scholastic grammar has been paid little attention to for a long time. Some linguists and teachers believe that the traditional or school grammar should be the key in the classroom instruction, but others argue that scholastic grammar is a vital part in language itself. Based on the theories of second language learning and the viewpoints of Otto. Jespersen and H. Poutsma about scholastic grammar, this article conducts a research in colleges and analyzes the stylistic effect of attributive post-position from scholastic grammar perspective and finds that it is necessary to reconsider the important role of scholastic grammar in college English teaching. The paper ends with a conclusion about some implications of the present research for college English language teaching in China.

The fundamental task of education is to foster morality. Strengthening ideological and political education is an important means to cultivate people with moral integrity. To integrate ideological and political education into teaching, it is necessary to shift from “giving ideological and political courses” to “giving ideological and political education in all courses”. Teachers in colleges and universities should actively promote the ideological and political reform of college English courses through innovating teaching modes, expanding educational channels, digging deeply into the teaching resources for ideological and political elements, optimizing teaching designs, and realizing the deep integration of moral education with college English teaching, to give full play to the role of college English in ideological and political education.

The modernization of industry is inseparable from the development of English teaching.Under the background of "Internet plus", constructing an ecological mode of College English teaching has become an effective way to promote the reform of College English teaching. Based on the analysis of the imbalance of the function of the Internet plus teaching structure, the imbalance between the coordination functions of the ecological subjects, the imbalance between the ecological subjects and the Internet information technology, this paper puts forward the concept of improving the information literacy of the teaching subject and innovating the "teaching and learning". This paper expounds the idea of creating a network ecological teaching environment and giving full play to teachers' guiding role. At the same time, this paper constructs a multi-dimensional interactive ecological classroom, harmonious teacher-student relationship and other specific strategies to build an ecological model of College English teaching, in order to play the role of ecological subject and improve the effect of College English teaching.

<p>As blended learning enters the college English reform in China, more and more researchers have made attempts to explore the effects of blended learning context. This paper intends to make an overview of application of it in English teaching in China by reviewing 20 papers published in core journals, with an aim to get a picture of the current situation of blended learning research and application in Chinese context. PAD (Presentation-Assimilation-Discussion) is a new teaching mode put forward by Professor Zhang Xuexin of Fudan University, which has attracted the attention of academic circles in recent years and has been widely used in teaching practice in China. After personal practice in college English courses, the author believes that in order to optimize the teaching and learning effect, we need to combine this model with the &ldquo;literature circle&rdquo; in reading program and attach great importance to the pivotal role of peer support in the learning procedure. Only in this way can we really achieve the goal of cultivating talents with core literacy. The current study focuses on the implementation of college English teaching practice based on the PAD class and its effect compared with traditional teacher-centered classroom teaching.
