on this research is to study the effect of nickel oxide substitution on the pure phases superconductor Tl0.5Pb0.5Ba2Can-1Cun-xNixO2n+3-δ (n=3) where x=(0,0.2,0.4,0.6,0.8.and 1.0). The specimens in this work were prepared with used  procedure of solid state reaction with sintering temperature 8500C for 24 h .we used technical (4-prob)to calculated and the critical temperature Tc . The results of the XRD diffraction analysis showed that the structure for pure and doped phases was tetragonal with phases high-Tc phase (1223),(1212) and low-Tc phase (1202)  and add to the presence of some impure phase. It was noted the value a=b,c  the parameter of  the lattice increment  with the increment of Ni content. The increment of (NiO) concentration effects electrical resistivity, dielectric constant and the hardness.

The influence of sintering temperature, sintering and annealing atmospheres, and quench rate on the properties of the high-temperature superconductor YBa2Cu3Oy has been investigated by electrical resistivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements, thermogravimetric analysis, powder x-ray diffraction, and scanning electron microscopy. Room-temperature resistivity and the transition width decreased, and the fraction of the superconducting material and the bulk density increased with increase in the sintering temperature, but had no effect on the transition temperature (Tc) for samples fired in flowing oxygen. A sample that was rapidly quenched from 930 °C to room temperature after sintering in air had a perovskite structure and Tc (onset) ∼90 K but its resistance did not become zero even at 77 K. A sample sintered in air at 930 °C and furnace cooled had Tc (midpoint) of ∼89.6 K and transition width (10%–90%) of ∼2.6 K. The loss and gain of oxygen occurs reversibly in YBa2Cu3Oy.

Annealing thermal plays an important role on the formation of high Tc-phase BiPbSrCaCuZnO through expansion and contraction layers which be associated with formation high and low phases respectively, The prepared samples composition BiPbSrCaCuZnO have been annealed at (820,840,860,880) C°. It is observed the critical temperature Tc increase for films which annealed at (820,840,880) C°while Tc decreases at Ta =860 C°.

Pb addition makes easier to form the high Tc phase in the BSCCO system. However, Pb easily vaporized at high temperature. A controlled Pb potential method has been applied to grow the high Tc phase in films. Initially, films are deposited on cleaved MgO substrates using an rf magnetron sputtering system. These amorphous as-deposited films are heat treated in a sealed gold capsule along with a large pellet of Pb-added BSCCO. Details of the process and characterization of the films have been reported elsewhere (1). Films trated for 0.5h at 850° C contain mainly the low Tc phase with a small amount of the high Tc phase. Hawever, films treated for 3h at 850°C consist mainly of the high Tc phase. This film is superconductive with a Tc(zero) of 106K. The Pb/Bi ratio of the films, analysed by SEM- EDS, are 0.12 and 0.18 for heat tratment times of 0.5 and 3h, respectively. The present study investigates the modulated structures of these films using HREM.

ABSTRACTMany of the high temperature superconductor phases degrade rapidly when in the presence of water, acids, carbon dioxide or carbon monoxide. In order to foster more rapid developments in the area of high-Tc research, it will be necessary to acquire a more complete understanding of the surface chemistry of these superconducting materials. In this paper, the relative reactivity of the common cuprate phases toward water is reported. X-ray powder diffraction and scanning electron microscopy measurements are utilized here to establish the reactivity trends.

In this paper, a series of Al2O3/Ni composites with various content of Ni (0 vol%, 10 vol%, 20 vol%, 30 vol%, 40 vol% and 50 vol%) were prepared, and the effect of the methods and compositions on the density and electromagnetic properties was investigated. The results show that the density of the composites increases with the increasing sintering temperature as well as the increasing content of Ni. Moreover, the dielectric constant of the composites increases remarkably with the sintering temperature and the content of Ni, while the permeability shows an almost linear enhancement with the increase of Ni content. This suggests that the Al2O3/Ni composite can be expected to be a promising substrate material with certain electromagnetic compatibility.
