The achieving of equality and equity between men and women in different spheres of life is essential for the attainment of sustainable development goals. In this context, the need for enhancement of women’s participation in national development programmes and their full integration into the development process has been widely recognised in various global and regional forums. More recently, the Programme of Action adopted by the International Conference on Population and Development at Cairo in 1994 reaffirmed and elaborated the role of women in national development, and endorsed a new strategy that emphasises “gender equality, equity and empowerment of women”. In this context, the Programme of Action recommends that countries should act to empower women and should take steps to eliminate inequalities between men and women by providing them with more choices through expanded access to education and health services, skill development and employment, and eliminating all practices that discriminate against women [United Nations (1995)].

Gender issues are an issue that demands social and cultural construction justice between men and women. In the demands of this construction, the balance of functions, status, and nature of the sexes is expected to be realized. Instead, da’wa and development is a construction of the changes that take place in society from certain socio-cultural conditions toward something that is considered more valuable. In addition it can also be interpreted as an effort to alleviate backwardness. Therefore, all, gender, da’wa and development are a reciprocal correlation between one another. The emergence of gender injustice issues or gender discrimination due to social construction process in society. Yet Islam and the Constitution of 45 countries have guaranteed equality of access for women and men. Therefore, enhancing the role of women and men in gendered development as an integral part of national development has significance in the effort to achieve harmonious harmony between men and women or to achieve gender equality and justice in various areas of life and development. The results of this study, trying to reveal da’wa gender in development should not be the same role between men and women, there are areas of their own that can be done by men and women in da’wa and development process.

****

The article contains some comments on the project of the National Program for the Development of the Far East until 2025 and for the future till 2035. It is noted that the project does not meet the formal requirements of the program document, has a number of unreasonable proposals and measures, the implementation of which may threaten the sustainable development of the region. The authors believe that in the development process it is necessary to take into account the principles of environmental and economic balance. The conclusion is made about the feasibility of developing a methodological framework for evaluating such documents as a tool for achieving sustainable development goals.

Using the case study of Romanians in Spain, this article highlights how the COVID-19 crisis presents both challenges and opportunities when it comes to human mobility and sustainability. Drawing on in-depth interviews with mobile people during the period of lockdown and circulation restrictions, and in accordance with the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the paper advances and contributes to the relevance of sustainability and its impact on people’s mobility in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. I argue that even in the midst of the crisis, sustainable ways may be found to promote and protect human mobility. The paper raises the way sustainability acts as a driver, gains relevance and influence, and contributes to the creation of new models of resilient mobility in times of crisis. The conclusions defend the respect for the SDGs regarding human mobility and emphasise the role of people on the move as sustainable actors learning to overcome distance and the barriers to their mobility during the pandemic.
