This study aims to demonstrate effectively application of the seven tools as one of the quality management tools to reduce product defects. A case study has been conducted in the production of white body at PT. XYZ, which is located in Semarang. The high percentage of defects is considered as one causes of not attaining the target of the company. Seven tools, which consist of check sheet, stratification, histogram, scatter diagram, control chart, Pareto chart, and cause-and-effect diagram, are used to analyze the causes of the defects. Based on data processing results, there are eight types of defects, namely: tobi, hage, burn back, crolling, saya boro, broken back stamp, hama kake, and nama kire. Recommendations for improvement have been proposed using 5W+1H analysis to improve the company's quality control performance and minimize product defects.

Today the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) is increasing significantly along with the rise in competitiveness in this field. Accordingly entrepreneurs who want to get into the competition and do not want to be left behind by other SMEs in the business field have to pay attention to the quality of their product. The purpose of this study are: (1) to analyze the quality control (QC) on the production process in SMEs of Tofu (soybean cake) as Tahu Bambu, Tahu Bandung Ashor and Tahu Bandung; (2) to identify the factors which cause damage of Tofu as Tahu Bambu, Tahu Bandung Ashor and Tahu Bandung; (3) to identify the most influential factor affecting the quality of Tofu as Tahu Bambu, Tahu Bandung Ashor and Tahu Bandung; and (4) to assess the QC on the production process in the above three unit. The data used in this study were primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through direct observation and interviews with the SMEs, while the secondary data were taken from the internet and references such as books, journals and theses. Analysis tool used were Pareto Diagram, Cause and Effect Diagram and Control Chart. It is from Cause-Effect diagram that the factors affecting damage in three SMEs of Tahu were revealed, i.e human, raw materials, machines and tools, methods and environment with the main cause of most influence through analysis Pareto diagram is one piece. Quality control of the SMEs Tahu Bambu and SMEs Tahu Bandung analyzed using by p Control Charts indicated that they were controlled.

Keywords: Quality controls, Cause and effect diagram, Pareto chart, Control chart

The goal of this paper is to find suitable solutions for process optimization using PDCA methodology and quality management tools. It was realized in the company that is oriented on the assembly of key sets, locks and handles. It analyzes chosen assembly processes, their critical points and identifies root causes of problems that might occur during assembly. For this purpose, different quality methods and tools are used. In this paper there are also defined the corrective actions to avoid recurrence of identified problems, implementation of these actions in production process and its standardization.

Quality management in the library is related to quality control of the library's work to meet user expectations and contributes to the continued success of the organization. However, quality control is lacking and not be the main focus in many libraries. This paper aims to explain how quality management improves work results in libraries. The research method used in this paper is qualitative research using a case study method. We conduct research in Library X that already underwent quality control in book processing activities. The data were collected through observation, and interviews for book processing activities and its quality control data during 2018-2020. The data was then analyzed document analysis. The study found that Library X could perform better by improving the quality of book processing and fixing the error just before they put the book on its shelves. Quality control gives a comprehensive evaluation in Library X either for humans, processes, and systems of book processing activities that help Library X conduct its duty to provide their user needs and expectations. Quality control and quality management also help Library X describe the library working atmosphere and can be used for giving motivation to all librarians and staff to give better service and performance for the end-users.

In this paper, a manufacturing process is analyzed, having as quality characteristic the “height of the screw head”, using analyzes and representative diagrams. Based on this case study, the way to solve these types of problems using the Quality Control Chart module of the WinQSB program, as well as the XLSTAT program is presented.

Quality is a factor that can increase product competitiveness. In improving products quality is necessary to control the quality (Quality Control) of the process activities. This study aims to determine the quality control of granulated sugar packaging process by using the seven tool method consisting of check sheet, histogram, Pareto chart, flow chart, scatter diagram, control chart and fishbone diagram. From 30 days observation concluded that the highest type of damage consist of metal detection by 145 bags and torn packaging by 50 bags. Then, from the results of control chart known that out of control process still happen. Both types of damage then revised, and process capability analysis is carried out, so can be concluded that the process is not capable in making the product according to specifications. Therefore, an analysis using fishbone diagram shows that the causes of damage are human, working methods, and machines. From these factors, Standard Operating Procedures can be done as well as designing new machines in packaging process

Abstract Every company must ensure that the production process proceeds without interferences. Within this article, the author uses the term “interferences” in reference to unplanned stoppages caused by breakdowns. Unfortunately, usually due to machine operators’ mistakes, machines break, which causes stoppages thus generating additional costs for the company. This article shows a cause and effect analysis of a breakdown in a production process. The FMEA as well as quality management tools: the Ishikawa diagram and Pareto chart were used for the analysis. Correction measures were presented which allowed for a significant reduction in the number of stoppages caused by breakdowns.

The application of quality management tools in the content development process provides a range of benefits to writing, production, and program teams. This case study of a Natural Language Processing (NLP)-based information quality management solution developed by acrolinx® GmbH describes the results that real-world virtual collaborative writing practitioners have realized, and provides a roadmap for applying quality management strategies within writing organizations. When information products have consistent style, voice, terminology, and brand identification no matter where, when, or by whom the materials written, they are easier to read, understand, translate, and use. Quality management tools support collaboration within writing teams by centralizing access to the standards as writers are creating content, and providing objective quality metrics and reports at handoff points in the information supply chain. This process ensures consistency and clarity across information products, which makes them easier for writers to develop and for customers to use.

PT. Adapun alat SQC yaitu Checksheet, Histogram, Diagram Pareto, Scatter diagram, Control Chart, dan Cause and Effect Diagram.
