Quality is a factor that can increase product competitiveness. In improving products quality is necessary to control the quality (Quality Control) of the process activities. This study aims to determine the quality control of granulated sugar packaging process by using the seven tool method consisting of check sheet, histogram, Pareto chart, flow chart, scatter diagram, control chart and fishbone diagram. From 30 days observation concluded that the highest type of damage consist of metal detection by 145 bags and torn packaging by 50 bags. Then, from the results of control chart known that out of control process still happen. Both types of damage then revised, and process capability analysis is carried out, so can be concluded that the process is not capable in making the product according to specifications. Therefore, an analysis using fishbone diagram shows that the causes of damage are human, working methods, and machines. From these factors, Standard Operating Procedures can be done as well as designing new machines in packaging process

In quality assurance of hexagonal paving block products, quality control is needed so the products that produced are in accordance with the specified standards. Quality control carried out involves two interconnected quality characteristics, that is thickness and weight of hexagonal paving blocks, so multivariate control chart is used. Improved Generalized Variance control chart is a tool used to control process variability in multivariate manner. Variability needs to be controlled because of in a production process, sometimes there are variabilities that caused by engine problems, operator errors, and deffect in raw materials that affect the process. The purpose of this study is to apply Improved Generalized Variance control chart in controlling the quality of hexagonal paving block products and calculating the capability of production process to meet the standards. Based on the assumption of multivariate normal distribution test, it can be seen that the data of quality characteristics of hexagonal paving blocks have multivariate distribution. While based on the correlation test between variables it can be concluded that the characteristics of the quality of thickness and weight correlate with each other. The result of the control using these control chart shows that the process is statistically in control. The results of process capability analysis show that the production process has been running according to the standard because the process capability index value is generated using a weighting of 0.5 for each quality characteristic that is 1.01517. Keywords: Paving Block, Quality Control, Variability, Improved Generalized Variance, Process Capability Analysis

Telon oil is one of the traditional medicine in the form of liquid preparations that serves to provide a sense of warmth to the wearer. PT.X is one of the companies that produce telon oil. To maintain the quality of telon oil from PT.X product, required overall quality control that is starting from the quality control of raw materials, quality control process to the quality control of the final product. The purpose of this research is to know the application of Statistical Quality Control (SQC) in controlling the quality of telon oil in PT X. Final product quality become one of the measurement of success of a process, so it needs a good quality control. SQC method used in this research is Pareto Diagram and Cause and Effect Diagram. Pareto diagram is a bar graph that show the problem based on the order of the number of occurrences of the most number of problems until the least happened. A causal diagram is often called a fishbone diagram, a tool for identifying potential causes of an effect or problem. The result of applying the method indicates that 80% defect is caused by unsuitable volume and on the incompatibility of Expired Date (ED) code. The damage is caused by several factors namely the method, labor, and machine while the most potential factor is the volume conformity to reduce the number of defect products.

Quality is a benchmark to determine the level of good and bad of a product. The level of quality of a product will affect customer satisfaction, hence, to produce high quality products, it is necessary for a company to have a quality control process. Quality control is a process that aims to maintain the quality of products and services that have been promised to consumers. In this study, quality control is carried out in the sugar packaging process. Where in the sugar packaging process found the resulting product has a poor quality, defective and not in accordance with specifications. This study uses the Statistical Process Control (SPC) method which aims to determine the causes of defective products with the intention that the packaging process can further minimize the level of product defects. The SPC method is a statistical analysis technique with seven statistical tools or seven tools. Based on the results of the study it can be seen that the cause of product damage / defects in the product packaging process is caused by three types of damage namely damage due to conveyor (38.17%), damage due to machine pinched (35.82%), and damage due to loose seams (26,00%) This type of damage can be caused by human error and other factors such as engine condition, engine cleanliness and the monitoring process. Proposed improvements recommended for the company are to provide training to employees, make clear work instructions, conduct periodic maintenance for the machines used, supervise all work areas, and carry out quality control for every acceptance of raw materials.

Process Capability is a tool that is often used in the process of quality improvement, especially for process improvement. This study uses a process capability analysis on crank shaft production line 2 for motorcycles. By using normality test data and process capability indices for calculation of Cp/Cpk, shows that most of the data obtained are not normally distributed, so need to transform the data into normal, which can then be followed by the calculation of process capability. For the calculation of Cp/Cpk, it was found that there were some machines that still need to get tight control to meet the specification. It shows that mass production is still less stable. In order to meet the specifications, it is necessary to improve the quality of the repair process to reduce the variation in the process.

Keywords: Process Capability, Quality Control, Process Improvement

This study aims to determine how the implementation of quality control using statistical aids is useful in an effort to control the level of product damage in the company. Quality control analysis is carried out using statistical tools in the form of check sheets and p control maps. Check sheets are used to present data to make it easier to understand data for the purposes of subsequent analysis. P control maps are used to monitor damaged products whether they are still in control or not. The results of the P control chart analysis show that the process has been carried out well. This can be seen in the final product quality control chart with the final number of CL values showing 0.0049, UCL 0.0091, LCL 0.0007 with a proportion of 0.0050 defects which means that the quality control process is within controlled limits because the value of the defect proportion is smaller than the UCL value.

Quality control is carried out as one of the strategies to measure the capability of the production process. This is to identify the factors that cause products no standardized and propose improvements. During this time, there are often problems in the vacuum packaging of frozen fish. The analysis method used Six Sigma with the stages Define, Measure, Analyze and Improve. The results showed that the Critical to Quality (CTQ) of packaging process is leaking packaging, but the process is working well and it is above the industry average in Indonesia. It can be seen the value of Sigma and the final yield. Packaging leaked based on a fishbone diagram and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is caused by human factors. The proposed improvement is by monitoring, guidance, and training of human resources. This is done so that the process can be towards the target 6-Sigma.
