Environmental education, training of sciences and biologists teachers: issues disclosed in the curriculum of a biological sciences course at a Paraná state public universitAbstract: This study demands about which knowledge has been required by the curricula of the Biological Sciences courses to understand the environmental crisis. Thus, based on the literature, four main aspects were identified that concerns about the Environmental Education field: traditional conservationist, traditional pragmatic, critical and post-critical, presented their epistemological bases, ways of acting and possible theoretical-practical restrictions. We listed the most prevalent aspects in the curriculum of classroom courses in Biological Sciences Graduation and Biological Sciences Bachelor's Degree, offered by a Paraná state public university, in 2018. The curricula analyses revealed a critical proposition of both courses; however, the biological content is prioritized for social changes improvement. Lastly, we show the possibilities for these professionals to act as environmental educators, as well as possible limitations in understanding contemporary environmental problems and their complexity. Keywords: Biological Sciences; Environmental Education; Environmental Educators; Biological Sciences Curriculum.

The aim of this study is to get a general overview of the relevance of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) requirement for postgraduate studies in Mexico, since such requirement has been established as one of the main elements of National Quality Postgraduate Programs (PNPC) registered in the National Bureau of Science and Technology (CONACYT) catalog. There are 2,155 programs to be found in such catalog, where 130 of them are cataloged as programs of International Competency; are public university graduates ready to cope with the EFL requirement established in PNPC programs? This research project took a closer look into a group of Mexican university graduates´ EFL proficiency levels fulfilled as both: as a fulfillment bachelor’s degree requirement, and as an entry requirement to be accepted in a biological and agropecuary sciences masters’ degree program from the PCPN.

The university vision envisages the training of students with professional skills for their timely inclusion through recruitment mechanisms in the productive sector, establishing their policies of entry, training and egress. For this purpose this longitudinal descriptive research is carried out at a Public University with two cohorts, 2018 and 2019, there are 192 undergraduate students of the Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, 93 of 2018 and 99 of 2019, respectively, who are in the last semester , to determine whether the process of adopting competences is satisfactory to interfere with the productive processes of organizations. Using a valid and reliable instrument it is determined that the predominant female population predominates with 53.8% for 2018 and 56.6% for 2019, in addition that in maximum Likert scale the result shows that by 2018 the average is 4.5484 meaning that they feel competent for in curbing their incorporation into work by decreasing slightly by 2019 to 4,5357; contrasts significantly with the perception they have for inclusion in the workplace since by 2018 the average is 4,5161, decreasing by 2019 to 4.2222. Although there is a confidence picture, it will have to monitor the next results by the declining trend that is observed.

Once they have completed their educational process, which emphasizes on English as a foreign language as well as on the pedagogical and research fields. The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the impact of graduate students from an English teaching program to determine the possible weakness or strengthens that let us consider some modifications in the curriculum that currently educates future teachers. To achieve this purpose, it was necessary to establish a study of these future teachers. As a consequence, an analysis was carried out on the data collected by using interviews, applied to the population. This study showed the high level of employability achieved by the students from the Bachelor’s degree in English, once they finished their studies. It was also observed, that there was a low occupancy in the research field, regardless of being one of the emphases of the curriculum offered by this academic program.Despite this achievement, it is necessary to ask about the perception of employers on the graduates and their employability, as well as the effectiveness of their learning process and their level of performance in the educational field, as a global teacher.

Research on variables related to academic performance is becoming increasingly important in universities; with special interest the study of those factors that may be subject of intervention for the improvement of the academic performance of their students (Davis & Thomas, 1999). The purpose of the study, among others, was to identify the main factors associated with the accreditation of the students of the Bachelor's Degree in Educational Sciences in a standardized test called the General Graduation Exit Examination in a Mexican public university. The sample was made up of 272 supporting students; Descriptive analyzes were carried out, chi-square (X2) and a logistic regression model was generated. The main results show that the age of the supporters, the schooling of the mother and the average in the Degree are the factors that most relate to the accreditation of the exam. The study presents empirical evidences that can be useful for the obtaining of more favorable results of the students in this type of standardized evaluations and for the decision making for the improvement of the educational processes in the university.

The study of motivation and demotivation in the educational field has contributed greatly in the process of teaching and learning, identifying the points that require attention and study by the family, schools, teachers and students. An approach that studies this continuum is the Theory of Self-Determination, which together with the Academic Motivation Scale understands that men are moved by the satisfaction of basic needs. The importance of this issue has generated interest in developing this work that aims to identify and analyze the factors that motivate and demotivate students during graduation and measure the degree of motivation and demotivation. The survey was conducted through a questionnaire administered to 165 (50%) of the students enrolled in the Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry in the first half of 2017. From the analysis of students' responses, they feel motivated especially by free education and achievement of a diploma. The most cited demotivation factors are: precariousness of the transportation means to the university, influences of self-charging and family pressure. With the results we can say that despite the negatives, students consider themselves motivated to seek development and improvements to their professional and personal.
