It is known that self esteem and gratitude play a pivotal role in the development of an individual. The purpose of this study was to find out about the exact role that self esteem and gratitude play in the development of Indian students of 16 to 24 years. Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale, Gratitude Questionnaire and Personal Growth Initiative Scale were administered on the participants who were selected for the study by the method of random sampling. Data was collected with the help of google forms as personally meeting the subjects was not possible during the pandemic. Findings suggests that most participants who participated in the study possessed high levels of gratitude and moderate levels of self esteem, thus showing good personal development.  It was believed that increment in self esteem leads to the increment in overall personal development of a person, but in this research, it came out that rise in self esteem up to a certain level can positively impact personal development, more than that can create a negative impact on the development. It was also found out that gratitude and personal development were positively correlated to each other, i.e., rise in levels of gratitude leads to increment in personal growth of students.

It can be said that the relationship between language and context is best manifested through the concept of deixis. It refers to a set of expressions whose interpretation depends on the context in which they appear. The current study tries to present a thorough review of the topic in question from a pragmatic perspective,  enhancing its different categories, functions, and shedding some light on its relation to the phenomenon of  indexicality.  Deixis  has not been given its due attention. Thus, this study attempts to bridge this gap in the literature through answering the following questions: What are the categories of deixis? What is the role of context in interpreting deixis?  And what is the relation between deixis and indexicality?

The town of San Pedro, located in south-western Côte d'Ivoire, benefits from numerous natural assets (forest, hydrographic, soil), which contrib ute to its economic and social development and the well-being of its population. This situation particularly contributes to the dynamism of industrial activities to the detriment of biodiversity resources. This study therefore aims to identify the negative effects of the expansion of industrial activities in this city on its biodiversity. The methodological approach used was based on a mixed analysis provided by documentary research and a field survey (interview, questionnaire and direct observation). The processing of the data collected in the field led to the conclusion that the expansion of industrial activities in the town of San Pedro has a strong impact on biodiversity resources. More than 70% of the economic actors and heads of households interviewed are speechless in the face of this alarming phenomenon in the locality.

This paper is a study of the conceptual dimensions of human rights gleaned from the writings of scholars and jurists, judicial precedent, and domestic and international human rights instruments, particularly under the United Nations System. Human rights have become an international subject and have today attained the status of a jus cogens rule of international law. The need to determine and clarify the history and dynamics of this subject has given impetus and inspiration to this paper. Applying a theoretical and doctrinal methodology, the paper set out to appraise the different dimensions, and for that matter ramifications, to the concept of human rights and how they affect our everyday life. The paper found, among other things, that human rights law and its observance are much more entrenched at the international forum than in domestic jurisdictions. The paper concluded that human rights issues are no longer a matter of domestic affairs of any nation in the light of extant international instruments to which nations are committed. It therefore recommended that national governments should be more sensitive and responsive to the growing status of human rights as an international subject.

Since the outbreak of the first case of the Covid-19 coronavirus infection in early March 2020 to break the chain of spread, the government has taken a policy by limiting community activities that have an impact on economic and business training to reduce losses, business actors have made efficiency, among others by laying off workers or Even carrying out mass layoffs of employment, the role of all parties concerned in HI (employers, workers, or government) is needed to prevent or reduce mass layoffs and employers to reduce losses can still carry out efficiency. This study aims to analyze the shared perceptions of employers, workers, and the government to prevent mass layoffs in Indonesia. The method used in this research is a descriptive analysis using a normative juridical approach. This study concludes that in the perspective of interests, each party has different interests, namely the interests of employers to make efficiency to reduce losses, the interests of workers do not occur mass layoffs, the presence of Collective Labor Agreement (PKB) among them is to integrate and coordinate these different interests. So as not or to minimize the conflict between interests. for this reason, PKB must protect the interests of all parties in HI by limiting the interests of the parties in HI, namely, on the one hand, the PKB must safeguard the interests of employers in carrying out efficiency to reduce losses, on the other hand, PKB must protect the interests of workers, so that mass layoffs do not occur. Employers to make efficiency can only be done by limiting or reducing the interests of workers 'rights both in terms of labour legislation and terms of employment, and PKB also limits employers' interests to reduce workers' rights, namely reducing the rights of these workers. This can only be done as long as the entrepreneur has suffered losses for 3 (three) consecutive years as evidenced by a financial audit from a public accountant, the government's interest, in this case, the institution responsible for the human resources sector for strength in the legality aspect, can ratify the PKB. Therefore, from a systems perspective, all parties with interest in HI have a very close attachment and synergize with one another in harmonizing the implementation of HI (industrial peace) in the end during the Covid-19 pandemic through PKB can create a shared perception between the interests of entrepreneurs, workers and government
