Life insurance is a term used to refer to actions, systems, or businesses in which financial protection (or financial compensation) for life, property, health and so on gets reimbursed from unexpected events that can occur such as death , loss, damage or illness, which involves regular premium payments over a period of time in exchange for a policy that guarantees such protection. The term "insured" usually refers to everything that gets protection. Decision Support System is defined a system intended to support management decision making, Decision making is the main function of a manager or administrator. Decision making activities include identifying problems, finding alternative solutions to problems, evaluating these alternatives and choosing the best decision alternatives. The Vise Kriterijumska Optimazacija Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) method is one of the methods used in decision making. To use the decision support system method must have criteria that will be used in the determination, in addition it must determine the level of importance of each criterion. So the decision support system used must also have comprehensive and integrated planning to minimize the level of risk of failure and decision selection

Decision making is what people usually do when dealing with a problem which give people several alternative options. In doing alternative selection, the decision maker will do various consideration to select the available alternative options. Problems that occurs in decision making generated by various alternative options being offered. Further, each alternative has almost the same value to one another. That values that almost equal to one another caused the decision maker is difficult to determine which alternative should be chosen.Therefore, the writer design and build design tool for Decision Support System (DSS) using ELECTRE method. This system is expected to help people overcome various problems which related to decision making. This system is expected to be able to increase effectivity and efficiency for users in helping to provide alternative solutions that will be chosen later.

Decision support systems are also computer-based information systems for management decision-making that deal with semi-structured problems. With a decision support system makes it easier for us to determine the decisions for majors of high school students. Because the determination of this department is very influential with the future of students. So from that the author conducted this study to facilitate students in determining majors. So that these two methods can be compared and find the best results in making decisions about the majors of high school students.

Education is an essential need and an important element to create a broad-minded youth. While in Indonesia, the rate of tuition fees is still imbalanced with the economic rate. Thus, many people decided to discontinue their higher education. Decision making plays an important role to manage organizations, including in educational institutions, as one of the main duties in managerial is making decisions. This study took place in a midwifery academy in Malang. In response to this situation, the academy has a policy to alleviate students by paying the tuition fees in instalments. However, many students are in arrears as the result of this policy. Thus, management needs to take some consideration before making a decision toward the problem. Those considerations require high accuracy and time consuming to process information that support decision making. Currently, the decision-making process in this academy is still semi-automated, in which some processes are still done manually, which affect longer time to make decisions, and the accuracy of calculations could not be fully guaranteed. According to this condition, the purpose of this research is to design a decision support system that enables us to process information for decision making and to offer decision alternatives for decision makers. This research employs Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a decision table as a method to create decision alternatives. The prototype was developed using Visual Studio C#.Net. The result shows that by using the proposed prototype of DSS, decision makers can reduce 5-10 minutes of decision making process compared to the old semi-automated system which still required manual calculation and data collection and analysis before making the decision. A complete data and more detailed parameters for decision criteria are required to implement the proposed prototype of DSS in the institution with more objective consideration in the decision making process as the future work.

The focus of a decision support system is much different from Management Information Systems (MIS) and data-based "decision support systems". Decision support systems, as defined by the authors, focus on decisions and decision makers, and on information. Technology is treated as a tool and data as the raw material. In many traditional systems the focus is on the technology, and the data is the "information", while decision makers are, to some extent, externalized.The purpose of the Forest Management Decision Support System (FMDSS) project is to develop a set of software tools for creating forest management decision support systems. This set of tools will be used to implement a prototype forest management decision support system for the Plonski forest, near Kirkland Lake, Ontario.There are three critical ingredients in building the FMDSS, these are: (1) knowledge of the decision making process, (2) knowledge of the forest, and (3) the functionality of underlying support technology. The growing maturity of the underlying technology provides a tremendous opportunity to develop decision support tools. However, a significant obstacle to building FMDSS has been the diffuse nature of knowledge about forest management decision making processes, and about the forest ecosystem itself. Often this knowledge is spread widely among foresters, technicians, policy makers, and scientists, or is in a form that is not easily amenable to the decision support process. This has created a heavy burden on the project team to gather and collate the knowledge so that it could be incorporated into the function and design of the system. It will be difficult to gauge the success of this exercise until users obtain the software and begin to experiment with its use.

Secara khusus, SPK didefinisikan sebagai sebuah sistem yang mendukung kerja seorang manajer maupun sekelompok manajer. Untuk memperoleh alternatif keputusan dengan maksimal, maka diusahakan bagi member memilih keadaan sesuai dengan keadaan yang sebenarnya, maka akan memperoleh alternatif keputusan untuk member dalam mencapai dan menjadi leader. Employees engaged in mental work have become the most valuable assets of any organization in the 21st century. The satisfaction of those involved in mental work requires the provision of objectivity and transparency in their decision-making. This, in turn, entails the development of scientifically motivated decision making mechanisms and scientific-methodological approaches to evaluate their performance based on innovative technologies. The main goal of this article is in development of the scientific and methodological framework for the establishment of a decision support system to manage the employees engaged in mental work and operating in uncertainty. In this regard, initially, the question of evaluating the activities of scientific workers is examined, its characteristic features are determined, and the fuzzy relation model is proposed as a multi-criterion issue formed in uncertainty. Taking into consideration the hierarchical structure of the criteria that allows evaluating the activities of scientific workers, a phased solution method based on an additive aggregation method is proposed. In accordance with the methodology, a functional scheme of the decision support system to manage the scientific personnel is developed. The working principle of each block and the interaction of the blocks are described. The rules for the employees’ management decisions are shown by referring to the knowledge production model. Based on the proposed methodological approach, the implementation phases of the decision support system for the management of the scientific workers of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS are described. To evaluate the employees’ performance, the tools to collect initial information, evaluate the system of criteria, define their importance coefficients and mathematical descriptions are provided. Some results of the system software are presented. The opportunities of the system based on the proposed methodology to support enterprise mangers to make scientifically justified decisions are provided.

The article considers the process of making management decisions at the regional level involving the decision support system (DSS) “DATA”. The software package can be used in the management process at different stages. It contains a comprehensive information base, which allows the managers of a regional government to make a comprehensive analysis of the management situation. Also, using DATA DSS will allow forming alternative management decisions, as well as providing a choice of management decisions from possible alternatives based on the relevant criteria. The number of possible alternative management decisions and the criteria for their selection will be different for the lower, middle and top management of the regional government, so the automated program has the ability to change the criteria for listing recommended measures. The knowledge base of the software complex contains many relevant activities. The architecture of DATA DSS for application in the regional management structures. It contains a number of modules for intermediate calculations and user interfaces. Each module has its own software, which allows to separate the functions, provides flexibility to expand the functionality of the system and security of data access. It has been stated that the heads at different levels of the regional authorities can use DATA DSS at various stages of the management decision-making process. Automation of decision-making support allows optimizing management activities and is a high-performance alternative to decisions made on the basis of traditional methods by manager's intuition or the common sense principle.

Kwalitas sumber daya yang tinggi sangatlah diperlukan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas kerja satu perusahan, sumber daya yang mempunyai keahlian dan kopetensi akan dapat meningkatkan pelayanan yang lebih maksimal. Untuk itu proses seleksi pegawai akan lebih profesional maka perlu dibangun sebuah sistem pendukung keputusan untuk membantu dalam menyeleksi pegawai pada PDAM Tirta Dharma Kota Tegal. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode SAW (Simple Additive Weighting). Metode ini dipilih karena dapat menentukan nilai bobot untuk setiap atribut, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan proses perankingan yang akan menyeleksi alternatif terbaik dari sejumlah alternatif, dalam hal ini alternatif yang dimaksud adalah yang berhak diterima sebagai pegawai baru berdasarkan kriteria-kriteria yang ditentukan. Kriteria yang digunakan untuk proses seleksi dalam penelitian ini antara lain Tes Tertulis, Psikotes, Pendidikan, IPK dan Wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian sebuah perancangan sistem pendukung keputusan sebagai alat bantu untuk pengambilan keputusan manajemen, Selain itu dalam proses seleksi penerimaan pegawai ini juga dapat dilakukan dengan lebih optimal, dan waktu yang diperlukan untuk menyusun serta mengevaluasi penyeleksian pelamar tersebut menjadi lebih efisien.High quality of the resources is necessary to increase labor productivity of the company, the resource that has the expertise and competency will be able to improve service over the maximum. For that service selection process will be more professional it is necessary to build a decision support system to assist in the selection of employees at PDAM Tirta Dharma Tegal. The method used is a method of SAW (Simple Additive weighting). This method was chosen because it can determine the weight values for each attribute, followed by the ranking process that will select the best alternative from a number of alternatives, in this case the alternative in question is entitled to be accepted as a new employee based on criteria specified. The criteria used for the selection process in this research include written test, Psychological, Education, GPA and interview. The results of the study a decision support system design as a tool for management decision making, besides the selection process for this employee can also be done with a more optimal, and the time needed to develop and evaluate screening of applicants has become more efficient.

At the beginning of 2020 there was a natural disaster that caused many people to lose their homes, damage to public facilities and infrastructure, as well as the breakdown of transportation links connecting villagers, especially in 3 districts namely Sukajaya, Nanggung, and Cigudeg. As a result of the disaster, many villages are isolated and residents need a lot of logistical support to meet their needs. To overcome these problems, we need a system that can help the government and volunteers who are interested in the decision making the process so that the provision of assistance for victims of natural disasters can be right on target and in accordance with the urgency of basic needs and logistics needed. Decision support systems using the TOPSIS method are used to solve multi-criteria problems by offering various alternative solutions to solve problems. The results obtained a final preference value of 0.68 from C3 criteria in order to prioritize residents with closed transportation access to channel disaster relief funds for victims of natural disasters in Bogor Regency.
