This article aims to explore the component of environmental physical sustainability knowledge index among Malaysian youths using exploratory factor analysis (EFA). The respondents consisted of 100 Malaysian youths who were selected using purposive sampling techniques. A questionnaire on a scale of 1 to 5 Likert has been used to get feedback. The results showed that the products in each study build achieved acceptable reliability with a Cronbach Alpha value higher than 0.70 and met the requirements for a normality test. The data is then processed using the appropriate EFA grouping of constructive items. The results have identified four main components of Malaysian youth environmental sustainability knowledge from 69 questionnaire items, namely lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere. This finding also meets the requirements of the specified index value (Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin and Bartlett’s Test of Sphericity). This proves that these four components should be considered in the development of instruments to assess the environmental sustainability knowledge index among Malaysian youths.

Abstract Background Advances in technology and the expansion of nursing roles have led to complex ethical issues in nursing. Nursing students are the future clinical nursing workers and practitioners. The ethical sensitivity of nursing students is very important to the professional development of nursing students, which can strengthen the ethical cognition of nursing students, improve the ethical decision-making ability of nursing students, and is beneficial to the development of nursing students in the process of clinical practice and nursing education. However, there are no instruments to evaluate the ethical sensitivity of nursing students in China. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Chinese version of the Ethical Sensitivity Questionnaire for Nursing Students (ESQ-NS). Methods After obtaining the authorization of the author of the original scale, the study used the Brislin back-translation method for translation. An exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were performed to examine the underlying factor structure of the translated questionnaire. The Cronbach alpha coefficient, the test-retest reliability, and the corrected item-total correlation were calculated to verify the internal consistency of the scale. Results The Chinese version of ESQ-NS retained 13 items. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) extracts four common factors, and the cumulative variance contribution rate is 62.479%. The CFA reached the adaptive standard, and the discriminant validity of the scale was good. The Cronbach alpha coefficient of this scale was 0.821, and 4 dimensions were between 0.708 and 0.738. The results of the test-retest showed that Pearson’s correlation coefficient of the overall ESQ-NS was 0.814. Corrected item-total correlation ranged from 0.337 to 0.542. Conclusions The Chinese version of the ESQ-NS has good reliability and validity, which can be used to evaluate the level of ethical sensitivity of nursing students in China.

Technological knowledge and skill are crucial for teachers and pre-service teachers because they have a direct effect on performance, learning quality, and wider world access. Many studies showed that the ability of a teacher in technology-integrated pedagogy is influenced by their attitude towards technology. The aim of this study was to use exploratory factor analysis in examining the structural factors, the preference level and the interrelationship among components of attitude towards technology. Data was collected from 150 pre-service science teachers in Lampung University by using traditional survey method. Additionally, variance, mean values comparison, and Cronbach Alpha coefficients were analyzed in explaining the contributions of items and factors to the overall attitude towards technology. Pearson correlation analysis was also conducted to find out the relationship among components. The results confirmed the validity of instrument with loading factors ranging from 0.427–0.882. In addition, the total Cronbach Alpha coefficient was 0.810 which informed a high internal consistency of instrument with five components of technological attitude account for 77.82% of variance. Specifically, the perceived consequence of technology is identified as a dominant attitudinal preference of preservice science teachers in Indonesia, followed by career aspirations and gender difference. Pearson productmoment analysis revealed a significant correlation among components of attitude towards technology.

Abstract Background: The professional life has been frequently made by social interactions in which different forms of professional collaboration appear. Everybody has different attitudes through his/her life that could influence on choosing profession and probably the approach towards inter professional work. In order to study the current attitude towards planning educational courses and assess efficiency of the ongoing educational courses, the present study has normalized the Persian version of the ‘Attitudes to Health Professionals Questionnaire’ (AHPQ).Method: After permission from questionnaire developers, in order to confirm face and content validity, the process of translation and back translation was performed. Then it was sent to ten scholars (Delphi Technique) and their comments were considered for providing the final copy. The questionnaire was back translation from Persian into English. The final version was compared with the original questionnaire in terms of concepts. Reliability confirm by test-retest and internal consistency (intra class correlation and Cronbach alpha coefficient). The construct validity was confirmed by exploratory factor analysis. Results: According to the first phase (67 participants), wide range has caused unnecessary variations in answers; so reliability has been confirmed in larger sample size (104 participants) after decreasing the extent of scale from 10 to 5 points. Exploratory factor analysis was used by main construct and rotation of maximum variance. Final reliability was confirmed by Cronbach alpha as 0. 899. Three underlying constructs of professional ethics, professional autonomy and patient-centered care had been revealed in the questionnaire. Conclusion: In addition to confirmation of AHPQ construct validity, reveals that such a tool is able to specify the attitude of health team members based on their perceived importance towards the basis of inter professional collaboration. Thus, recognizing and directing priorities of health care team in inter professional collaboration enables us to manage establishment, integrity, sustainability and coordination of group activities.

Background:Rowland Universal Dementia Assessment Scale (RUDAS) is a brief cognitive test, appropriate for people with minimum completed level of education and sensitive to multicultural contexts. It could be a good instrument for cognitive impairment (CI) screening in Primary Health Care (PHC). It comprises the following areas: recent memory, body orientation, praxis, executive functions and language.Research Objective:The objective of this study is to assess the construct validity of RUDAS analysing its internal consistency and factorial structure.Method:Internal consistency will be calculated using ordinal Cronbach’s α, which reflects the average inter-item correlation score and, as such, will increase when correlations between the items increase. Exploratory Factor Analysis will be used to arrange the variables in domains using principal components extraction. The factorial analysis will include the extraction of five factors reflecting the neuropsychological areas assessed by the test. The result will be rotated under Varimax procedure to ease interpretation.Exploratory factor analysis will be used to arrange the variables in domains using principal components extraction. The analysis will include Kaiser–Meyer–Olkin measure of sampling adequacy and Bartlett’s test of sphericity. Estimations will be based based on Pearson’s correlations between indicators using a principal component analysis and later replicated with a tetrachoric correlation matrix. The variance in the tetrachoric model will be analysed to indentify convergent iterations and their explicative power.Preliminary results of the ongoing study:RUDAS is being administered to 321 participants older than 65 years, from seven PHC physicians’ consultations in O Grove Health Center. The data collection will be finished by August 2021 and in this poster we will present the final results of the exploratory factor analysis. Conclusions:We expect that the results of the exploratory factor analysis will replicate the results of previous studies of construct validity of the test in which explanatory factor weights were between 0.57 and 0.82, and all were above 40%. Confirming that RUDAS has a strong factor construct with high factor weights and variance ratio, and 6-item model is appropriate for measurement will support its recommendation as a valid screening instrument for PHC.

Abstract Innovation has nowadays become the main force to cope with challenging times in the fast-changing world. The influence of public sector innovation (PSI) in resolving dynamic economical and societal challenges is undisputable. Regardless of the numerous advantages of innovation in the public sector (PS) which have been recognised worldwide, the concept of public sector innovation is still novel for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH). Moreover, there is limited empirical evidence which would facilitate the understanding of public sector innovation performance. The purpose of this paper is to identify main components of PSI performance. The primary research data was obtained through a survey with close-ended questions which was completed by the public sector institution employees in FBiH. The exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was used in order to determine the principal components of measuring public sector innovation performance. The EFA returned the factor-structures for all four suggested constructs, innovation capabilities, wider sector conditions for innovation, sources of information and the share of creative occupation, explaining between 65% and 78% of the variance of the innovation performance measurement construct. The results from the exploratory factor analysis provided a distinct estimation on the factor structure of measuring PSI. The paper has provided and analysed the first instrument in measuring public sector innovation performance in FBiH.

A great design is something that satisfied both client need and desire, whilst it is a challenge of innovation is to go beyond aesthetics. Literature reviews have developed several survey regarded to interpret the ideal images of the attraction factor from the prospective customer where the prospective and retrospectives approaches happened. A coffee shop is a cultural trend where the function is not only a drinking place. The issue of short sustain in coffee shop service while the current mushrooming of the coffee shop business everywhere lead to understanding the factor of customers preference in selecting a coffee shop. This paper aims to determine component of lighting as preferable physical environment using exploratory factor analysis in SPSS. The constructs of lighting comprised of comfortable lighting, enough lighting, bright lighting, natural lighting, energy saving lighting, candle lighting and colorful lighting. The components of the attributes were identifies after the Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) using Principle Component Analysis (PCA) and Hierarchical Cluster analysis from 188 prospective customers consisted of 38.3% male respondents and 61.7% female respondents, resulted two main components extracted namely natural lighting and artificial lighting. The distinct factors determine the preferable lighting attributes by the prospective customers towards the natural lighting compared to artificial lighting. The opening therefore must put as design priority for a coffee shop to allow natural penetration of lighting to the interior. The selection of material and building components also can be part of the consideration in allowing the access of natural lighting with minimal artificial lighting used. The result potentially applied in architecture, service design and innovation industry to produce preferable lighting condition by the client.

Although the problem of anxiety and fear has not been a priority in the treatment of coronavirus, the results of studies show that there is an increase in people's fear of coronavirus. This study aims to evaluate and confirm the Fear of COVID-19 Scale (FCV-19S)  in the Indonesian population. Exploratory Factor Analysis and Confirmation Factor analysis were used for this purpose. A total of 117 participants responded to the scale. The results of the EFA showed that the scale has two dimensions. Furthermore, the results of the CFA revealed that the Indonesian version of FCV-19S exhibited very good construct validity (factorial and convergent), and acceptable reliability. These findings suggest that the Indonesian version of FCV-19S is a developmentally appropriate instrument that can be used to examine fears of coronavirus in Indonesia.
