Abstract. The anthropogenic environmental changes over the past decade have become global for the entire globe. They deeply penetrate into all components of the environment - the lithosphere, the geomorphosphere, the hydropower and the atmosphere, the soil and vegetation, alter the physical fields of the Earth and the Cosmos, transforming the original natural landscapes into natural and human-made geosystems and endangering human health and life. Especially sensitive to changes are the least protected natural landscapes on the territories of the nature reserve fund - natural monuments, nature reserves, regional parks, national natural parks, natural and biosphere reserves. The article deals with the issues of technogenic influence on the part of the territory of the Dniester Regional Landscape Park - Bistriza-Tlumach’s and Prydniester-Pokutskiy hills of the Prut-Dniester interfluve in Ivano-Frankivsk region. The authors carried out an ecological assessment of the environmental components of the specified territory - geological environment, relief, hydro- and atmosphere, soil and vegetation cover. Recommendations on the reduction of anthropogenic influence by introducing geoinformation technology of environmental protection, its modeling and forecasting are offered. Most of the study area has a generally normal ecological status. There are favorable conditions along the Dniester Canyon, where the oxygen content in the atmospheric air is higher than the average. Within a short distance of the Dniester Canyon from the north-west to the southeast, lanes of satisfactory condition stretch. Within them, five sites of complex ecological status have been identified. The comparison of the obtained data of the ecological assessment of the heights on the right riverside with the adjacent territory on the left riverside of the Dniester – located there National Nature Park “Dniester Canyon” showed that practically all geo-ecological structures of the right bank have their continuation on the left riverside. It follows that the Dnistrovsky Regional Landscape Park should be transferred to the category of nature reserve fund “National Nature Park” and be combined with the National Park “Dnistrovsky Canyon”. Tovtry is a complex of Miocene fossils reef buildups that rise in a scenic ridge and hills above the surrounding plains of Podillya region. The Tovtry zone consists of main ridge (the late Baden barrier reef), isolated Tovtry hills (the late Baden bioherms, located east of the ridge), isolated tovtry (the early Sarmat bioherms, located west of the main ridge), the territories of the former channels, lagoons and passes between hills, where the modern rivers flows. The correlation and form of relief of Tovtry zone elements are the basis of detailed geomorphologic zoning. Within geomorphological area of Podillian Tovtry distinguish three subdistricts – Zbarazh, Medobory and Kamenec-Podolsky regions. The Zbarazhky Tovtry is stretching from Pidkamin village (Lviv region) to the valley of Gnizna river and includes Mylnivskyy, Zbarazhsky and Lub’yanetskyy hills of Tovtry. Within Podillian Tovtry are 85 objects of nature reserve fund (NRF), dominated by the number of botanical (20) and geological (19) natural monuments. The largest area is occupied by National Nature Park “Podilski Tovtry” (261 316,0 ha) and nature reserve “Medobory” (9 516,7 ha) and 7 landscape reserves (2 423,2 ha). The structure of NRF of Zbarazhsky Tovtry dominated by the number of botanical (6) and geological (6) natural monuments, and the largest area is occupied by 2 zoological reserves (6 041,0 ha). The particularly valuable geologic-geomorphologic objects of Tovtry have been identified (the Tovtry main ridge areas and isolated tovtry hills, the outcrops of reef sediments, rocks, canyon sections of the river valley, waterfalls etc.), they are protected in the form of geological nature monuments “Kydanetski rocks”, “Podillian Tovtry outliers”, “Sarmat sea outliers”, “Big Saddle” and into botanic reserve “Acute grave”. Share of environmental protection objects aimed at the protection of geological and geomorphological Tovtry formations in the Zbarazhsky Tovtry NRF is less than 2 %. The creations of the regional landscape park (RLP) “Zbarazhsky Tovtry” in the territory f the main ridge and surrounding areas with isolated tovtry hills from Left Seret river valley to Stryyovetski stream valley has been proposed. The park administration should be placed in the Zbarazh, where in 1994 the historical and architectural reserve “Zbrazh” has been created. Into RLP reserve zone should be included the most outstanding areas of main ridge (natural landmark Pozharnytsya, mount Hontova, mount Zubova) and isolated tovtry hills (Lub’yanetski Tovtry). The RLP will include “MilneBlihivskyy” (3 488,0 ha) and “Maloberezovytsko-Ivanchanskyy” (2 553,0 ha) zoological reserves, 4 botanical reserves, 5 geological and 2 hydrological reserves, 4 botanical nature monuments. Two circular routes from Zbarazh for the tourism development into regional landscape park “Zbarazhsky Tovtry” have been developed. The first route includes unique historical and architectural monuments and objects of inanimate nature, and the second – botanical and zoological objects and nature monuments. The landscape reserves “Tovtry steppe” and “Stryyovetski Mountains”, geological nature monuments “Fold bordering in the reef limestones in Bilokrynytsya village”, “Kolodiyivski giants”, “Hontva Mountain” and natural landmark “Zaluzhanskyy forest” are proposed to create in Zbarazhsky Tovtry. The chain of nature reserve objects will preserve the unique geological and geomorphological formation of Zbarazhsky Tovtry region. In the article is researched the process economic using of the valley of the Dnieper River in its middle flow. There was performed a retrospective analysis of human impacts on local nature landscapes. The history of economic using of the researched area is divided into four main periods according to the intensity and diversity of types of anthropogenic impact on the environment. There are presented the basic objects of nature reserve fund, which purposefully was created by man in the twentieth century, in order to preserve natural landscapes in the region of the Middle Dnieper.

The territories and objects of the nature reserve fund are the important centers for the provision of services related to environmentally friendly tourism in the Sumy region. As of 01.01.2017, the nature reserve fund of the region has 263 territories and objects with a total (actual) area of 176.7 thousand hectares, of which the national value is 19 objects with an area of 50.5 thousand hectares (7.3 %), of local importance – 244 objects with an area of 126.2 thousand hectares (92.7 %). The ratio of the area of the NRF to the area of the oblast ("reserve index") is 7.41 %. The largest recreational and tourist potential has the three largest protected areas of Sumy Region: Desniansko-Starogutsky National Nature Park, Getmanski National Nature Park, and the Seymsky Regional Landscape Park. Involvement of territories and objects of the nature reserve fund in tourism activity should be carried out under strict observance of environmental legislation, defined protection regimes and norms regarding volumes, intensity of recreational loads. Such activities should complement the monitoring system research, including using new technologies based on geographic information systems (GIS). It is expedient and informative to use such resources as Google Maps, EARTH OBSERVING SYSTEM (EOS), Public cadastral maps of Ukraine, etc. The application of these information-analytical technologies and the results of the space monitoring provides an assessment of the dynamics of the characteristics of the biotopes and the spatial distribution of such investigated integral environmental parameters as the shape and perimeter of the protected zone of the protected object and the processes of its seasonal and long-term successional changes. Provided that a service network is created, tourist ecological routes with use of forest recreational ecosystems to the northeast of Sumy may be interesting. The introduction of information technologies into the system of natural protected areas will significantly affect the observance of the regime of protection of territories and objects of the ecological network and will allow to improve measures on environmental monitoring and background monitoring. A promising area of geomonitoring is the creation of GIS-forms of natural-protected fund objects that combine the collection, storage, processing, access, display and distribution of spatial data, allows you to store, make changes, analyze and monitor their condition in a consistent manner. The exploitation of these databases with system monitoring of zoned and ordered complexes will allow to remove uncontrolled recreational loads for a significant part of natural groups and ensure their effective use on the basis of sustainable development.


Purpose. To investigate the state of the Nature Reserve Fund (NRF) in Khmelnytskyi region in the context of the Emerald Network development. Methods. We have used the data of the Register of the Nature Reserve Fund of Khmelnytskyi region, the literature, the cartographic materials and the state documentations as the materials for our investigation. Based on the criteria created by Yu. M. Gryshchenko the state of the NRF of Khmelnytskyi region has been assessed. Results. 536 objects of the Nature Reserve Fund of Khmelnytskyi region on 328,663.98 ha have been created (January 1, 2021): 42 national objects and 494 local objects. The Nature Reserve Fund of this region includes all categories of protected areas except for the nature and biosphere reserves. About 80% of the area of the NRF is occupied by the Podilsky Tovtry National Nature Park. The NRF is characterized by high percentages of the nature reserves, high density of NRF objects and high landscape representativeness and low insularization index. Despite the expansion of the NRF over 2000–2020, the percentage of the nature reserves is 44% less than set out in the Regional Development Strategy (January 1, 2020). Eight NRF objects of this region are included in the Emerald Network of Europe. All emerald objects are characterized by high representativeness indices and the uniqueness of the flora and fauna. The objects of the Emerald Network are provided the preserving of the unique ecosystems of Podillya. These are the value of Khmelnytskyi region and Europe. The public environmental initiative “Emerald – Natura 2000 in Ukraine” has included two NRF objects to the “shadow list” in the Khmelnytskyi region: the Dnister and Ushytsia Reserves. Despite the positive dynamics of the formation of the NRF of this region, there are a lot of the problems and gaps. There are such problems as a difficult approval procedure for the creation of new protected areas; the insufficient funding of the NRF at the local and state levels. Also the system of the monitoring of the existing Nature Reserved Objects and the information about the current state of the biodiversity in this territory are absent. The non-compliance with the regime of the protected areas, the insufficient environmental awareness and the ignorance of the citizens about the need to preserve the environment are great problems. Conclusions. The NRF of Khmelnytskyi region is characterized by high qualitative and quantitative characteristics (a large number of the Nature Reserved Objects, high percentages of the nature reserves, high density of the NRF objects, high landscape representativeness and low insularization index). Eight NRF objects of this region are included in the Emerald Network of Europe. However, despite the expansion of the NRF of Khmelnytskyi region and its quality indices, a number of the problems of the nature protection have remained. These problems have to be solved in the local and national levels.

Salt steppes and marshes represent the most valuable ecosystems in the world, providing numerous ecosystem services that are extremely vulnerable to anthropogenic influences. These types of habitat in the territory of Serbia are most dominant in Banat and a significant portion of them is under protection or in the process of becoming protected. The section surrounding the protected areas of Slano Kopovo Special Nature Reserve, Rusanda Nature Park and Okanj Bara Special Nature Reserve with the non-building area of Novi Becej, Kumane, Melenci, Elemir and Taras cadastral municipalities, has been chosen for the analysis. The aim of this paper was to assess the influence of specific anthropogenic factors on the elements of an ecological network using the analytical method that can generate the required results in a manner suitable for presentation to various stakeholders. To achieve this aim, the Leopold matrix model, used for assessing anthropogenic influence on the environment, has been chosen. The specificity of this issue of protecting and preserving elements of an ecological network resulted in the need to isolate and evaluate the factors affecting the preservation of habitats and functionality of ecosystems, unlike the concept of Leopold matrix, which treats all factors as equally important in the process of evaluation. Evaluation results indicate significant effects of historical, perennial manner of using the area and other resources in the non-building area.

The feature of present time is a sharp deterioration of environmental quality, so it is important to form the population with careful attitude to nature. The efficient approach of influence on the people’s consciousness is ecological tourism that is spreading in many countries. Its development in Ukraine is closely connected to environmental areas. That’s why the Nature Reserve Fund for ecological tourism development question is interesting and socially important. At one time, the contribution to the development of ecological tourism was made by domestic and foreign scientists. In this way works of A. S. Kuskov considered the main tasks of ecological tourism and requirements for work. O. Dmytruk defined principles, functions, and integration foundations of ecological tourism. V. V. Khrabovchenko studied the question of origin and development of ecological tourism and analyzed the phenomena of ecological tourism as a factor of stable development. General theoretical and practical aspects of recreational nature management in Ukraine were covered by K. Y. Kilinska, V. M. Rudenko, N. P. Anipko, N. S. Andrusiak, N. I. Konovalova. The foreign scientists B. Dzhons, R. Bakli, H. Lofman developed the conception of ecological tourism. The each region has its own specific conditionals of development of ecological tourism. Among them is the Natural Reserve Fund. The aim of this work is to study the objects of Poltava Regional Natural Reserve Fund as factors of ecological tourism development. The paper used the domestic and foreign geographical sources and methods: descriptive, analytical, synthesis, comparison, deduction, graphic, cartographic and others. Nowadays there are in existence several definitions of the concept ecological tourism. The Ukrainian scientist O. Beidyk thinks ecotourism is a recreational activity which has the least impact on the natural environment. The ecological routes are applied for different purposes: recreational, educational and upbringing, gaining the emotional impressions from communication with nature etc. The Nature Reserve Fund – is a territories and objects which have a special protective, scientific, recreational and other value. They are created for saving the natural diversity, maintaining the general ecological balance and environmental monitoring. Ukraine has 11 categories of nature-reserved objects. All of them differ in potential needed for ecological tourism development. There are 384 objects in Poltava oblast. They make up 4,95% of a the total area of the region. Among them there are 178 partial reserves, 2 national natural parks, 5 regional landscape parks, 137 natural monuments, 2 dendrological parks, 1 botanic garden. The partial reserves are one among the most numerous environmental objects of Poltava oblast. They are created to maintain the ecological balance and to save biological kinds and natural complexes. Botanical, landscape, geological, hydrological, forest partial reserves of Poltava oblast are picturesque areas around coasts of rivers where the plants are well preserved. The environmental legislation still has not provided them for recreational use. Natural monuments are a big category of environmental objects that have protective, scientific, cognitive, cultural, and recreational value. The most promising for tourism developing are complex, botanical, geological and hydrological natural monuments. They can be attracted to make ecological routes, or be used for educational and upbringing purposes. A large value for ecological tourism development has regional landscape parks that are created to save natural complexes and objects to provide the conditions for rest of population. The main functions of regional landscape parks are protective, defense the culture and history memorabilia, recreational and educational. Among of such objects Dykan regional landscape park that saves age-old broadleaf forests. The regional landscapes Kremenchuk Plains park is located within the floodplain and island of Dnipro (Zelenyi and Shalamai) has a lot of opportunities for making of ecologically oriented routes, organizing excursions for pupils and students. Protect tracts are characterized by considerable potential for development of ecological tourism, but the legislative mechanism to use them are still unregulated. The dendrological parks are made to save different kinds of trees and shrubs for the most efficient scientific, cultural, recreational, educational use. So their resources are actively attracted to organization of tourist activity. In this way, the ecological tours are done in the Ustimov dendrological park, where visitors can become familiar with its interesting history and variety of plants. So, environmental territories and objects play a big role for development of ecological tourism in Poltava oblast. The resource of national landscape parks are attracted to the most to recreational activity. The cognitive direction of ecological tourism is the most important for dendrological parks, natural monuments, botanical gardens of Poltava oblast. This gives them special educational and upbringing value. The organization of tourist activities within the protected tracts and environmental areas can still be considered (with some exceptions) as a potential task.

This research highlights the main natural attractions of the nature reserve fund of the Transcarpathian region: the Synevir, Uzhansky and Zacharovanyi Kray national natural parks, the Prytysiansky and Synyak regional landscape parks, and the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve. These include, in particular, mountain ridges and peaks, fragments of river valleys, outcrops of rocks and rocky recrements, traces of the glacier (kars, glacier clay), mountain lakes, high moors, numerous springs (including mineral waters), waterfalls (cascading and single-stage), typical and rare species of flora and fauna, as well as valuable forest, subalpine, meadow, flood, etc. ecosystems. Every researched natural reserve territory has its own composition of natural attractions because of location in different natural regions in Ukrainian Carpathians: national natural park "Synevir" demonstrates massif Gorgany in Vododilno-Verhovynski Carpathians; Uzhansky national natural park is fragments of Vododilny middle-mountains highland massif (Vododilno-Verhovynski Carpathians) and Polonynsky massif of Polonynsko-Chornogirski Carpathians; national natural park "Zacharovanyi Kray" is central part of Vygorlat-Gutynsky volcanic strand of Ukrainian Carpathians; regional landscape park "Synyak" – part of mountainstrand of Vygorlat-Gutynsky volcanic strand; regional landscape park "Prytysyansky" – the most valuable natural territories of Prytysyansky alluvial lowland plain (part of Chop-Mukachivska plain). The Carpathian Biosphere Reserve is unique beyond others – it includes six separate massifes (Chornogirsky, Svydovecky, Marmarosky, Kuziysky, Ugolsko-Shyrokoluzansky, Valley of daffodils) and two national botanical reserves ("Chorna Gora" and "Julivska Gora"), which are located on heights from 180 to 2061 m above sea level in west, central and east parts of Ukrainian Carpathians. The most famous of these natural attractions are ecotourist paths and routes operating on the protected nature reserves, near recreational facilities and recreational areas. The biggest problem is the considerable (sometimes excessive) tourist load on these objects, insufficient control over tourist flows, intensive development of tourist infrastructure close to natural attractions and insufficient information and education provision. Some fo the ways to solve these problems are strengthening control over the tourist movement; introducing new types of ecotourism aimed at reducing the simultaneous tourist load on objects and, at the same time, increasing the number of visitors; improving informational and educational support; monitoring of the quality (compliance with environmental standards) of the tourist infrastructure.

Abstract The aim of this study was to describe the flora and vegetation of the grasslands of Northeastern Ukraine and to analyse how the steppe vegetation responds to grazing or its abandonment. We studied two gully systems in the east of the Kharkiv Region: the Regional Landscape Park “The Velykyi Burluk-Steppe” (steppe grasslands on chernozem soils; 10 sites) and the National Nature Park “Dvorichanskyi” (steppe grasslands on chalky outcrops; 5 sites). Long-term monitoring data exist for both these sites starting in 1991, shortly after grazing intensity reduced. We recorded the major grassland plant communities (reflecting their successional status) as well as their dominant species. Tree and scrub encroachment increased after management ceased. We conclude that (i) heterogeneous grazing (including ungrazed patches) in space and time is necessary in order to preserve grassland biodiversity in our study system; (ii) erosion of chalky outcrops (natural erosion as well as driven by cattle grazing) is a key factor promoting the richness of cretaceous species in steppe grassland.

The existence of orchids is often threatened with extinction that can be caused by natural damage. In addition, the continuous harvesting of orchids from nature without considering its sustainability can threaten the extinction of orchids in a region. There is a need for knowledge about the diversity of orchids so that it can be the basis of conservation in a region specifically nature reserve and Nature Park Bogor. Research using transect methods and data collection conducted using field observation techniques. The observation area consists of three locations altitude: 1400, 1500 and 1600 m above sea level . There are 27 species of orchids consisting of 19 genera. From the calculation of important value index (INP), the dominating type is found at altitude 1400 and 1500 m above sea level is Ceratostylis crassifolia, While at height and 1600 m DPL is Liparis compressa. Index diversity of type in the research site with a height of 1400 m DPL is moderate and at an altitude of 1500 and 1600 m DPL is high. The spread index is known that the pattern of spreading orchid species in three research locations has a clumped group spread pattern.
