Problem. Today the most relevant topic is the creation of websites. This is because almost any field of activity, whether related to goods or services, requires information-based promotion. The main purpose of the site is to tell the users about the company's data. There are different ways of informing on the Internet, but usually they all come down to one thing – a website. A website is a collection of electronic documents combined into a single address. With the growth of technology, websites are becoming not just a collection of documents, but also a presentation of a number of technologies that are used both to attract attention and to add various features, not only exciting but also convenient, that allow the user to stay on the site. That is why the article discusses the features and methods of developing a web service based on angular technology for ordering a tow truck service centering on the capabilities of modern browsers. Goal. This article examines the process of creating a web service based on Angular technology to order a tow truck service centering on the capabilities of modern browsers. The problems of work with services are considered and the necessity of creation of this service is substantiated. Methodology. An analysis of technologies and systems for the creation of this software, taking into account the support of work on mobile devices is made. The scheme of functioning of the service is developed and its structure is considered. The structure of the service software is developed and substantiated, separate schemes for each of the submitted pages are considered. Practical meaning. This service is designed to provide tow truck services, thanks to which every driver can easily order a tow truck at any time, which will reduce the time to find a tow truck. The necessary software was installed on the computer during the development of the information service. In the process of long-term software development, more and more dangerous factors appear on the PC, which affect the health and damage of the most vulnerable systems of the body. In an emergency, the computer must be turned off immediately.

The establishment of collective relationships is a native characteristic of individuals. Living in a recluse way cannot be considered part of human nature. Individuals have always been organized in communities in which they establish relationships with other individuals, which usually live in one particular area. Proximity among individuals is one of the characteristics that motivate the creation of communities. Communities are also created when individuals have common interests. Some examples are: religious communities, such as Catholic and Jewish ones; and communities that comprise people having the same job, such as scientific and medical communities. In these examples, the distance among individuals is not an obstacle to the creation of communities, since individuals have common interests. In spite of living in different places, members of these communities have periodic meetings in which collective relationships are established. The popularization of the Internet after the 1990s along with the well established use of personal computers have allowed the creation of a new form of community, the well known virtual communities. They have enabled individuals to communicate through e-mail, forums, instant messaging, and videoconference. People living in different countries have interacted and communicated through Internet enabled personal computers. Distance learning and software users groups such as Linux users and Java developers are some examples of relationships that have been improved by virtual communities. Mobile virtual communities are the most recent advance in the establishment of collective relationships, mainly due to the progress in mobile devices and wireless communication technologies. Connectivity among wireless mobile devices enables individuals to exchange information and knowledge, anytime and anywhere. These communities are created in an ad hoc way: individuals with common profiles, carrying connected mobile devices, can constitute a community and access/provide information according to their authorization degree. There are various applications of mobile virtual communities, such as workflow management, mobile learning, healthcare communities, personal assistants in academic conferences, and applications for communication among students on campus, among others. This article introduces the field of mobile virtual communities, describing the main issues that have culminated in the creation of this research area such as the Internet, personal computers, mobile devices and wireless communication technologies. Applications domains of mobile virtual communities and works that support the development of these applications are also presented.

Science may be humanity’s most important long-term investment. The effort to accumulate knowledge has profound consequences for growing the economy, security, and well-being of American society. Some of the impact of scientific investments are the direct aims of the project. But, much of the impact is indirect. Research often leads to unexpected insights and applications that are only appreciated after the discovery and produce many orders of magnitude return on investments. Examples include the creation of the Internet and the core search insights that led to the founding of Google. Science is a long-term investment strategy for the continuing vitality of society, and we can do an even better job with this investment. Today, I will discuss how promoting a culture of transparency and reproducibility will improve the speed and efficiency of scientific discovery.

In national codes of ethics the practice of psychology is presented as rooted in scientific knowledge, professional skills, and experience. However, it is not self-evident that the body of scientific knowledge in psychology provides an adequate basis for current professional practice. Professional training and experience are seen as necessary for the application of psychological knowledge, but they appear insufficient to defend the soundness of one's practices when challenged in judicial proceedings of a kind that may be faced by psychologists in the European Union in the not too distant future. In seeking to define the basis for the professional competence of psychologists, this article recommends taking a position of modesty concerning the scope and effectiveness of psychological interventions. In many circumstances, psychologists can only provide partial advice, narrowing down the range of possible courses of action more by eliminating unpromising ones than by pointing out the most correct or most favorable one. By emphasizing rigorous evaluation, the profession should gain in accountability and, in the long term, in respectability.

ABSTRACT The study reported here was performed in order to examine the tap water of Helsinki for its alleged goitrogenous effect. In a short-term, 24-hour experiment with rats, kept on an iodine-poor diet, we noticed no inhibition of the 4-hour 131I uptake, as compared with that of animals receiving physiological saline instead of tap water. Two similar groups of rats receiving 1 and 2 mg of mercazole in redistilled water showed a distinct blockage of the 4-hour uptake, which proved the effect of this substance. In a long-term experiment of 5 weeks' duration there was no detectable difference in the body weight, thyroid weight and the 4-hour 131I uptake when the rats receiving tap water or distilled water to which 0.45 per cent of sodium chloride was added were compared with each other. Replacement of tap water by a 10 mg per cent solution of mercazole in redistilled water enlarged the thyroid to double its normal weight and increased the 131I uptake to approximately five times that of the controls. Thus our experiments failed to demonstrate any goitrogenous effect in the tap water of Helsinki. Changes similar to those produced by a long-term administration of mercazole, i. e. an enlargement of the thyroid and an increased thyroidal iodine uptake, have been shown to be due to milk collected from goitrous areas. The observations here reported confirm the importance of milk in the genesis of the goitre endemia of Helsinki. Attention is further called to the fact that a thyroidal enlargement combined with an increased thyroidal iodine uptake cannot always be taken as a sign of iodine deficiency because similar changes may be produced by the administration of goitrogens.
