Padang lamun menyediakan banyak manfaat. Diperlukan penilaian tutupan lamun dan distribusi spasial spesies lamun, untuk memastikan manfaat dari padang lamun tetap ada. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kuadran disepanjang line transect, dan analisis data dilakukan untuk dapat menyajikan informasi tentang titik koordinat transek garis, persen tutupan lamun, persen tutupan spesies lamun, jenis substrat (pasir, lumpur dan pecahan karang), jumlah spesies Enhallus acoroides (tegakan/m2) dan distribusi spasial spesies lamun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kondisi padang lamun di wilayah studi sebagai kategori tutupan padat. Spesies lamun Thalassia hemprichii (Th) dan Enhalus acoroides (Ea) adalah spesies dominan dan menyebar ke seluruh wilayah penelitian.COMMUNITY STRUCTURE OF SEAGRASS IN MALANG RAPAT, BINTAN. Seagrass beds provide many benefits. Assessment of seagrass cover and spatial distribution of seagrass species is needed, to ensure the benefits of seagrass beds remain. The study was conducted using the quadratic method on the line transect, and the analysis was carried out to be able to present information about line transect coordinate points, percent cover of seagrass, percent cover of seagrass species, substrate type (sand, mud and rubble), number of species of Enhallus acoroides (shoot/m2) and spatial distribution of seagrass species. The results showed the condition of seagrass beds in the study area as a category of solid cover. Seagrass species Thalassia hemprichii (Th) and Enhalus acoroides (Ea) are dominant species and spread throughout the study area.

This research was conducted in the waters of Tarabitan Peninsula, West Likupang North Minahasa using quadants transect method. The purpose of this study was to determine the community structure of seagrass found in that waters as initial information for sustainable management seagrass ecosystem . Field observation was conducted to identify the seagrass species, number of individuals/shoots, percent cover for each type of seagrass in those plotting quadrants. The result of this study documented 6 types of seagrass namely, Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Cymodocea rotundata, Syringodium isoetifolium, Halophila ovalis and Halodule uninervis. The species composition and distribution of seagrass were varied and was dominated by Thalassia hemprichii was the most dominant seagrass species with a relative density of 55.55%, a relative frequency of 33.67%, 39.92% relative cover, an important value index of 129.03%, a diversity index of 1.30 belonging to this condition, moderate, the uniformity index of 0.72 is classified as high and the dominance index of 0.2 is classified as low. Based on Minister of Environment Decree Republic Indonesia No. 200 of 2004 concerning the status of seagrass beds, the condition of the seagrass beds in the waters of Tarabitan Village is classified as rich / healthy with a cover value of ≥ 60. Keywords : Seagrass Community, Species Composition,  distribution, Tarabitan Peninsula           Penelitian ini dilakukan di perairan Semenanjung Tarabitan Likupang Barat Minahasa Utara dengan menggunakan metode transek kuadran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas lamun yang terdapat di perairan tersebut sebagai informasi awal untuk pengelolaan lamun secara berkelanjutan. Pengamatan lapangan dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis lamun, jumlah individu/tegakan, persentase tutupan tiap jenis lamun pada tiap kuadran. Hasil penelitian ini mendokumentasikan 6 jenis lamun yaitu Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Cymodocea rotundata, Syringodium isoetifolium, Halophila ovalis dan Halodule uninervis. Komposisi jenis dan sebaran lamun bervariasi dan didominasi oleh jenis lamun Thalassia hemprichii merupakan jenis lamun yang paling dominan dengan kerapatan relatif 55,55%, frekuensi relatif 33,67%, tutupan relatif 39,92%, indeks nilai penting 129,03%, indeks keanekaragaman 1,30 tergolong dalam kondisi sedang, indeks keseragaman 0,72 tergolong tinggi dan indeks dominansi 0,2 tergolong rendah. Berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup Nomor 200 Tahun 2004, kondisi padang lamun di perairan Desa Tarabitan tergolong kaya / sehat dengan nilai tutupan ≥ 60.Kata Kunci: Komunitas Lamun, Komposisi Jenis, Distribusi, Semenanjung Tarabitan

Seagrass communities play an important role in marine environments and estuary area, supporting communities of fish, snails and shellfish and other invertebrates. The diversity of seagrass species in the world is very low (<60 species). The coastal waters of Ori Village have a seagrass community that has never been studied. The purpose of this study was to estimate the structure of the seagrass community in the coastal waters of Ori Village, Central Maluku which includes the composition of type, density, frequency of occurence and percent of coverage. Seagrass sampling uses the line transect method. Five species of seagrass were found during the study grouped into two families: Cymodoceaceae and Hydrocharitaceae. The seagrass species found were Cymodocea rotundata, Halodule pinifolia, Enhalus acoroides Halophila ovalis and Thalassia hemprichii. T. hemprichii and E. acoroides have the highest densities (157 shoots/m2 and 137 shoots/m2, respectively). E. acoroides and T. hemprichii also have the highest frequency of occurence and relative coverage percent compared to other seagrass species found in the waters of Ori Village. Seagrass community in the waters of Ori Village is classified in a tight condition until dense.   ABSTRAK Komunitas lamun memegang peranan penting di lingkungan laut dan daerah estuari, menyokong komunitas ikan, siput dan kerang-kerangan serta invertebrata lainnya. Keragaman spesies lamun di dunia sangat rendah (<60 spesies). Perairan pantai Desa Ori memiliki komunitas lamun yang belum pernah diteliti. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengestimasi struktur komunitas lamun di perairan pantai Desa Ori, Maluku Tengah yang meliputi komposisi jenis, kerapatan, frekuensi kehadiran dan persen penutupan. Pengambilan sampel lamun menggunakan metode transek garis. Lima spesies lamun ditemukan selama penelitian yang dikelompokan dalam dua famili yaitu famili Cymodoceaceae dan Hydrocharitaceae. Spesies-spesies lamun yang ditemukan adalah Cymodocea rotundata, Halodule pinifolia, Enhalus acoroides Halophila ovalis danThalassia hemprichii. T. hemprichii dan E. acoroides memiliki kerapatan tertinggi (masing-masing 157 tegakan/m2 dan 137 tegakan/m2). E. acoroides dan T. hemprichii juga memiliki frekuensi kehadiran serta persen penutupan relatif tertinggi dibanding spesies-spesies lamun lainnya yang ditemukan di perairan Desa Ori. ABSTRAKKeberadaan ekosistem lamun di perairan pesisir pulau-pulau kecil berperan penting sebagai habitat dan penyedia sumber daya ikan, serta pelindung garis pantai dan daratan pulau-pulau kecil tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sebaran, komposisi, kerapatan, penutupan dan asosiasi jenis lamun di perairan pulau-pulau kecil Hiri, Ternate, Maitara dan Tidore, Maluku Utara. Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan metode transek garis dan transek kuadrat. Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan menggunakan bantuan perangkat lunak MS Excel dan XLstat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pulau Tidore memiliki jumlah jenis lamun terbanyak yakni delapan jenis lamun dari sembilan jenis lamun yang ditemukan di seluruh lokasi penelitian. Tiga jenis lamun yaitu, Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii dan Cymodocea rotundata, menyebar luas dan terdapat di keempat pulau tersebut. Komposisi, kerapatan dan penutupan jenis lamun bervariasi antar stasiun penelitian. Vegetasi lamun yang ditemukan di lokasi penelitian berupa vegetasi campuran yang terdiri dari tiga sampai delapan jenis lamun. E. acoroides banyak ditemukan di Stasiun Mtr1 dan Tte2 tidak berasosiasi dengan spesies lainnya, demikian juga dengan C. serrulata yang ditemukan di Stasiun Mtr2 dan T. hemprichii di Stasiun Tdr2 dan Tdr3. Asosiasi C. rotundata dan Syiringodium isoetifolium terlihat di stasiun Tdr1 dan Hr1, sementara Halophila ovalis dan H. spinulosa  tidak menunjukkan asosiasi dengan jenis lamun lainnya di lokasi penelitian. Secara keseluruhan kondisi lingkungan perairan di keempat pulau tersebut masih tergolong baik dan mampu mendukung ekosistem lamun. ABSTRACTThe existence of seagrass ecosystems in the coastal region of small islands has been playing an essential role as a habitat and the supplier of fish resources, as well as a shore and coastline protector of small islands. This study aimed to  determine the distribution, composition, density, coverage, and associations of seagrass plant in the islands of Hiri, Ternate, Maitara, and Tidore. Data were collected by using line transect method and quadrate transect. Furthermore, data were analyzed by using MS Excel and XLstat software. The results showed that Tidore Island has the highest number of seagrass species namely eight from nine species of seagrasses found in all research sites. Three species of seagrasses, Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, and Cymodocea rotundata, were widespread in all four islands. The composition, density and coverage of seagrass species varied among research stations. Vegetation of seagrasses found in the study site in the form of mixed vegetation consisting of three to eight species. Enhalus acoroides found mostly in Mtr1 and Tte2 stations were not associated with other seagrass species, nor Cymodocea serrulata that found in Mtr2 Station and T. hemprichii at Tdr2 and Tdr3 stations. The associations of C. rotundata and Syringodium isoetifolium were observed at Tdr1 and Hr1 Stations. While Halophila ovalis and Halophila spinulosa showed no association with other seagrass species at the study area. Overall the condition of the marine environment on the four islands is still relatively good and able to support the life of the seagrass ecosystem.

Secara global, ekosistem lamun dianggap sebagai penyerap karbon sehingga dapat berkontribusi terhadap mitigasi perubahan iklim. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi jenis, biomassa dan cadangan karbon pada komunitas padang lamun di perairan Siantan Tengah Taman Wisata Perairan (TWP) Kepulauan Anambas. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2019 s.d Januari 2020. Uji kandungan karbon dilakukan dengan metode Welkley and Black sedangkan untuk mendapatkan biomassa menggunakan metode gravimetrik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga jenis lamun, yaitu Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, dan Cymodocea rotundata. Nilai biomassa lamun berkisar antara 171,89 – 275,68 gbk/m2 dan nilai cadangan karbon berada pada kisaran 51,89 – 80,66 gC/m2. Padang lamun di Siantan Tengah memiliki luas 130,45 ha, sehingga total Cadangan karbon pada ekosistem padang lamun di perairan Siantan Tengah diperkirakan 95,88 ton C. Penelitian ini membuktikan adanya kandungan karbon pada biomassa lamun sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa padang lamun berperan sebagai penyerap karbon (carbon sink).  Globally, seagrass ecosystems are considered as carbon sink so that it can contribute to climate change mitigation. This research aims to determine the species composition, biomass, and carbon stock in seagrass communities in Siantan Tengah Marine Tourism Park of Anambas Islands. The research was conducted in Agustus 2019 – January 2020.  The carbon content test was carried out by the Walkley and Black method while to obtain biomass using the gravimetric method. The result od study showed that there are three species of seagrasses, namely Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, and Cymodocea rotundata. Seagrass biomass value range 171,89 – 275,68 gbk/m2 and seagrass carbon stock value range 51,89 – 80,66 gC/m2. The area of seagrass beds in Central Siantan is 130,45 ha so that the total carbon stock estimated reach 95,88 tons C. This research proves the presence of carbon in the biomass of seagrass beds, so it can be concluded that seagrass beds act as carbon sinks.

Lamun adalah tumbuhan berbunga yang dapat tumbuh dengan baik pada lingkungan laut dangkal. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di pantai Tongkaina dengan menggunakan metode observasi lapangan pada purposive sampling dengan garis transek kuadrat. Analisis data meliputi perhitungan dengan rumus Krebs dan Fachrul, identifikasi jenis lamun dan penentuan indeks keanekaragaman menggunakan Shannon Wiener. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat tujuh jenis lamun yang ditemukan yaitu Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Halophila ovalis, Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Holodule pinifolia dan Syringodium isoetifolium. Lamun Enhalus acoroides dan Thalassia hemprichii memiliki penyebaran terluas, karena ditemukan di seluruh transek pada lokasi penelitian. Jenis yang jarang dijumpai adalah Halophila ovalis dan Holodule pinifolia. Jumlah individu yang ditemukan adalah 2993 individu. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman di pesisir Pantai Molas memperlihatkan bahwa di wilayah ini keanekaragaman jenis lamun sedang bila dibandingkan dengan 13 lokasi lainnya di Indonesia.Sea grasses are flowering plants that can grow well in shallow marine environments. This research was conducted in Tongkaina Beach using field observation, with purposive sampling using line transect squares. Data analysis was performed using the formula of Krebs and Fachrul. Identification of sea grass and determination of diversity index is done using Shannon Wiener. Results obtained in this research showed that there are seven types of sea grasses, namely Enhalus acaroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Halophila ovalis, Cymodecea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Holodule pinifolia, and Syringodium isoetifolium. Enhalus acoroides and Thalassia hemprichii have wide distribution because they can be found in all transect line at research site. Species that are rarely found are Halophila ovalis and Holodule pinifolia. Number of individual found was 2993. Value of diversity index at Tongkaina Beach showed that this area has moderate sea grass diversity compared to other 13 locations in Indonesia.

The purpose of this study was to determine the structure and condition of seagrass communities  in the waters of hadirin Beach and Batu lawang karimunjawa. national park. This exploratory research used descriptive qualitative methods, each study location is divided into two transects. Data identified at SPTN Office 1 Kemujan Karimunjawa National Park. The results of the study were six species of seagrass, namely: Holodule uninervise, Thalassodendron ciliatum, Halophila minor, Syringodium isoetifolium, Thalassia hemprichii and Cymodocea serrulata. The percentage of seagrass cover namely Holodule uninervise is 38.04 %. Thalassodendron ciliatum of 6.25%, Halophila minor of 29.56%, Syringodium isoetifolium of 31.25%, Thalassia hemprichii at 14.21% and Cymodocea serrulata to 16.9%. The highest density of seagrass species in Hadirin Beach is from the Uninervise holodule species 72.30%, with 858 stands on the first transect and 54.66% on the second transect with 253 stands. Whereas for the highest Batu Lawang Beach is the species of Thalassia hemprichii 51.1% with 162 stands, on the first transect and 44.9% with 114 stands. The substrate has the type of sandy clay and coral fragments. Holodule uninervise is the most dominant species found on the beach of Hadirin meanwhile Thalassia hemprichi is the most dominant species in Batu Lawang.

This study was conducted in Marine Field Station of Faculty of Fisheries and Science of Sam Ratulangi University, Sub-district of East Likupang, North Minahasa. This study aims to identified the seagrasses in the water of Marine Field Station. The benefits of this study are for the database of seagrasses ecosystem management and comparative for other studies. The Observation and data collection was using random survey technic by analyzed the areas to collecting all the seagrass species found. Furthermore, the seagrass samples were categorised into each species. The result showed the amount of seagrass species in Marine Field Station are 8 species from 6 genera and 2 families: Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Halodule uninervis, Syringodium isoetifolium, Thalassia hemprichii, Enhalus acoroides,  Halophila ovalis, dan Halophila minor.Keyword: Inventory, Seagrass, Marine Field Station ABSTRAKPenelitian dilakukan di perairan Marine Field Station Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan Unsrat Kecamatan Likupang Timur Kabupatan Minahasa  Utara. Tujuan penelitian  untuk mengidentifikasi lamun yang ada di Perairan Marine Field station. Manfaat penelitian dapat menjadi data pengelolaan ekosistem padang lamun dan dapat menjadi perbandingan untuk penelitian-penelitian selanjutnya. Pengamatan dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik survei jelajah, yaitu dengan menjelajahi wilayah pengamatan sambil mencari semua spesies lamun. Lamun yang diambil adalah semua jenis yang ditemui. Selanjutnya, sampel lamun dikelompokan berdasarkan spesies. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan jumlah spesies lamun pada lokasi penelitian di Perairan Marine Field Station adalah 8 spesies dari 6 genera dan 2 famili yaitu, Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Halodule uninervis, Syringodium isoetifolium, Thalassia hemprichii, Enhalus acoroides,  Halophila ovalis, dan Halophila minor. Kata kunci: Inventarisasi, Lamun, Marine Field Station

Physical seagrass ecosystem damage have been reported in various regions in Indonesia. Seagrass ecosystem damage is caused by human activity such as trampling seagrass and boats that muddy the waters and reduced the density and seagrass cover. This study aims to provide information about the density and the coverage of seagrass. The method used in this research is the transect method measuring 50x50 cm squared at three different locations by considering coastal ecosystems Bahoi village that already exist. Station 1 is near to mangrove habitat, station 2 is right on seagrass habitats, and station 3 is near to coral reef habitat. The results indicated there is six seagrass species that found in the Bahoi village which is Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Cymodocea rotundata, Syringodium isoetifolium, Halophila ovalis, and Halodule uninervis. The density and seagrass cover is shows that the station 1 has the highest density and seagrass cover percentage compared with the other stations. The highest density of seagrass species located in station 1 with 955 individuals/m2, and the lowest was located at station 3 with 699 individuals/m2. While the highest cover percentage is located at station 1 with 270% and the lowest located at station 3 with 229%. Keyword: seagrass ecosystem, density, coverage, Bahoi

Seagrass beds is one of the most prolific shallow water ecosystems, having ecological function in the life of the various marine organisms and other coastal systems. Data and information of seagrass condition in the waters of Ternate, Tidore and surrounding areas are still hardly unexplored. This study aimed to describe the spatial distribution information of seagrass cover percentage, seagrass conditions and environmental characteristics. The basic data used for mapping of seagrass is Landsat 8 on a path 110 row 59 recordings in July 2015. Analysis of overlaying and the interpretation of the seagrass distribution software using "ERMapper, Image Analysis 1.1 on ArcGIS ArcView 3.2 and 10.1". Field test was conducted on frame 50 x 50 cm squares, each square of the recorded species of seagrasses and cover percentage value. Condition assessment based on seagrass cover by (Rahmawati et al., 2014) and (KMLH, 2004). The results show that there are eight species of seagrass found in the waters of the island of Ternate, Tidore and Hiri Maitara island. The highest percentage in the seagrass cover was found in Maitara islands and Hiri Island, i.e ≥ 50%. Seagrass cover conditions in general are relatively "moderate", but the health conditions are less healthy / less wealthy (30 to 59.9%). Penelitian ini bertujuan  mendeskripsikan  informasi  secara  spasial  sebaran  lamun,  persentase  tutupan, kondisi lamun dan karakteristik lingkungannya. Data dasar yang digunakan untuk pemetaan padang lamun adalah citra Landsat 8 pada path 110 row 59 rekaman Juli  2015. Analisis tumpang susun dan interpretasi sebaran lamun dengan menngunakan perangkat lunak “Ermapper, Image Analysis 1.1 pada ArcView 3.2 dan “ArcGIS 10.1”. Uji lapangan dilakukan pada frame kuadrat 50 x 50 cm, disetiap kuadrat dicatat jenis lamun dan nilai persentase tutupan.  Penilaian kondisi lamun berdasarkan tutupan menurut (Rahmawati dkk., 2014) dan (KMLH, 2004). Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa  terdapat 8 jenis lamun yang ditemukan di perairan pulau Ternate, pulau Tidore, pulau Hiri dan pulau Maitara. Presentase tutupan lamun tertinggi terdapat di pulau Maitara dan pulau Hiri yaitu ≥ 50 %. Kondisi lamun pada umumnya memiliki tutupan tergolong “sedang”, namun kondisinya kurang sehat/kurang kaya (30-59,9%). Seagrass is a unique angiosperm that grows in the sea. It is one of the three ecosystems that linked each other that equilibrate marine coastal environment. The increased rate of the destruction of the seagrass meadow calls an alarming threat to the anthropogenic community. The study determined the percentage cover and diversity of indexes of the seagrass in Igang Bay before the anthropogenic threat happened. Line transect – quadrat method was used and analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis test and Mann-Whitney test before subjected to similarity and overlap attribute, diversity, maximum diversity, evenness and dominance indexes. There are nine species of seagrasses, three species in western sites and nine in eastern sites. Canopy height and percent cover of seagrass has inverse interaction. Index of similarity between two sites is 0.3333 and 0.4286 for overlap attribute. Eastern site has higher diversity index and February is the highest at 1.24 and 2.10 in maximum diversity. The seagrass distribution is even after inter-monsoon at 0.71 and 0.12 in Eastern site and Western site, respectively. Thalassia hemprichii is the dominant species at both sites, and peak at July at both sites.
