Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered strain of Corona viruses (SARS-CoV-2). The disease causes mild to severe symptoms, mainly respiratory. Some patients can develop pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death. Any patient can develop mild to severe illness, but old age and severe underlying medical conditions like chronic lung diseases, diabetes, obesity, etc. seem to be higher risk factors for developing more serious complications from COVID-19. There is no specific treatment for COVID-19. However, many of the symptoms can be treated according to the patient’s clinical condition. Adiantum capillus-veneris (Maidenhair fern) is a medicinal herb of the family Pteridaceae. The plant extract showed a potential efficacy as ancient physicians used it for curing different diseases. In modern medicine, the plant was proven to possess a pharmacological efficacy to treat many symptoms similar to that caused by COVID-19 and its underlying medical conditions. Herbal agents extracted from Adiantum capillus veneris is widely used for the treatment of COVID-19 in Egypt, but Unfortunately, specific preclinical and clinical trials to evaluate the effects of the herbal immunoregulators in COVID19 patients have not been conducted. However, Certain natural compounds are proven here to be possibly effective for the treatment of COVID-19 symptoms based on general concepts from previous experiments. Meanwhile, people believe that consuming herbal immunomodulators can prevent or even cure COVID-19, this review is done to discuss the pros and cons of utilising the extract of Adiantum capillus veneris during COVID-19 pandemic, draw conclusions, and make recommendations of modern therapeutic application of an extract-based drug to treat symptoms of patients with COVID-19.

Climate change is directly related to changes in environmental conditions. Climate and weather are the physical components of an ecosystem. If there are some changes in the physical component of the ecosystem, it will have an effect on the incidence and pattern of spread of influenza disease. Influenza (flu) is an infectious respiratory disease caused by influenza virus which can cause mild to severe illness. The cause of influenza is an RNA virus that belongs to the family of Orthomyxoviridae which can attack birds, mammals including humans. The virus is transmitted through infected saliva that comes out when people cough, sneeze or through direct contact with secretions (saliva, saliva, snot) sufferers. The writing of this article was conducted to determine the corelation between climate and influenza disease events. This writing uses the literature review process of searching articles through Google Scholar. Journal articles found using English and key words used in journal searches are Climate Corelation With The Incidence Of Influeza Disease. Journal articles are found with different titles but refer to the corelation between climate and influenza disease events. Of the six journal articles that were used as review reviewers found that there was a corelation between climate and the incidence of influenza. Influenza trends are increasing in the rainy season with very low humidity.

Nowadays, the traditional perception of the family is changing. However, understanding children preferences and shaping their views of the world still remain the key prerequisites for the environmental sustainability. The purpose of the article is to analyze models of single fatherhood, to study the motivation and structure of factors that determine the involved fatherhood making, the specifics of mother’s and parent family’s influence on the paternal practices implementation. Our research testifies to the fact that single fathers tend to become family leaders and undertake responsibility related to childcare in the context of transforming marital and family relations as well as facing global environmental issues. The results of the study show that single fatherhood is usually a forced situation caused by death or severe illness of the mother, her deviant behavior and leaving the family, deprivation of parental rights, divorce consequences, long-term separation of spouses, use of modern reproductive technologies of surrogacy. It is concluded that the scenarios of the single fatherhood becoming – planned or casual – are associated with the cause of the child appearance in the family. The significant differences are found in the social and cultural capital of the single fathers which might have different impacts on the level of environmental education they can pass on to their children.

Desert plants are unique adaptation from environmental conditions. Fagonia is a genus of plant in the family zygophyllaceae with about 20 species around Mediterranean to India, S. Africa, California, Chili. The local name of fagonia is dhamasa. They are traditionally well known for the treatment of hemorrhoids, inflammation, sores, leprosy, open wounds and fever in the form of internal and external conventional formulation. When the powder that is made up of the whole plant of F. schweinfurthii is dusted on boils and skin eruptions, it causes healing, when the whole plant is boiled in water, its bath is useful for allergies and other skin diseases and decoction is given orally as blood purifier. The other species like Fagonia bruguieri its aqueous extract is claimed for anti-allergy. Methanolic extract of Fagonia cretica is claimed for good antimicrobial potential and it exhibited strong free radical scavenging properties against reactive oxygen and nitrogen species. The other effects of Fagonia species include anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic and thrombolytic activities are observed. Many chemical constituent's, such as triterpenoids, saponins, flavonoid glycosides, etc., have already been reported in different Fagonia spp. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3126/jnpa.v27i1.12147 Journal of Nepal Pharmaceutical Association 2014 Vol.XXVII: 28-33

Two new prenylated isoflavonoids, namely Erinasone A and Erinasone B along with 19 known secondary metabolites, including twelve isoflavonoids, three polyphenols, one flavonol, two flavanones and three steroids, were isolated from the whole plant (roots and aerial parts) of Erinacea anthyllis. Structures of all isolated compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic analysis, including 1D and 2D NMR (1H, 13C, COSY, HSQC, TOCSY, HMBC and NOESY), mass spectrometry (ESI-MS), UV-Vis, measurement of optical rotation [α]D and by comparison with the literature data. The total phenolic and flavonoid contents were determined in this study. Furthermore, the antioxidant and antibacterial activities of the EtOAc and n-BuOH extracts of E. anthyllis were evaluated. These extracts exhibited moderate antibacterial and antioxidant activities. Their IC50 values were approximately 0.04 mg/mL ( n-BuOH) and 0.037 mg/mL (EtOAc). Consequently, Erinacea anthyllis is a rich source of polyphenolic compounds particularly isoflavonoids used as chemotaxonomic markers for the subfamily Papilionoideae of the family Fabaceae.
